Abstract: A system for delivering sensory stimulation comprises a sensor configured to measure brain activity information of a patient during a sleep session; a sensory stimulator configured to deliver sensory simulation to the patient during the sleep session; and a computer system. One or more physical processors are programmed with computer program instructions which, when executed cause the computer system to: determine a first stimulation profile, a second stimulation profile, or a combination stimulation profile thereof based on obtained sleep cycle information and/or obtained cognitive domain information; and provide input to the sensory stimulator based on the determined stimulation profile, the provided input causing the sensory stimulator to deliver the sensory simulations to the patient based on the determined stimulation profile during the detected slow wave sleep in the patient.

Abstract: A transparent loading apparatus (also referred to herein as a “loader”) may partially or entirely comprise transparent material that allows light to pass through the loader and provides the viewer (whether manual or automated) a view of a radioactive seed, a seed carrier, a loading needle, etc. within the loader. In some embodiments, carrier material (e.g., collagen and/or other biocompatible material) and radioactive seeds (e.g., including a metal shielding and radioactive isotope) may transmit light to different degrees. For example, certain carriers, such as collagen carriers, may be translucent, while seeds may be opaque (or mostly opaque) to light. The systems discussed herein allow a viewer to detect location of a seed within a loader, and even within a carrier, because of these different light transmissivity characteristics.

Abstract: The present artificial insemination instrument may include a single use, hollow, elongate, metal pipette and a single disposable syringe that is not toxic to bovine sperm. The apparatus is used with any type of diluent that is not toxic to bovine sperm. In various embodiments, a technician may use non-sorted reduced sperm count semen straws from a bull stud, cut an unsorted semen straw into several pieces to use one piece at a time per cow, thaw one straw and mix the non-sorted semen with diluent, or use reduced sperm count semen straws filled with sex sorted semen by the manufacturer. A procedure is disclosed to use the artificial in semination instrument, reduced sperm count semen from any of the aforementioned sources, a non-toxic syringe, and a diluent to achieve conception rates at least as good as conventional prior art device and procedure conception rates.
Abstract: The present invention provides a gastrointestinal liquid biopsy sampling device. The sampling device includes an enclosure and expandable materials. The enclosure includes through holes cut in the wall of the enclosure, and targeted dissolution membranes covering the through holes that can be dissolved at targeted regions. The expandable materials are arranged at the positions corresponding to the through holes. The expandable materials expand after absorbing liquid and close the through holes.

Abstract: A system and method of coupling acoustic and electrical stimulation of noninvasive neuromodulation is a therapeutic system and method preferably designed for the diagnosis and/or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and neurological disorders including, but not limited to, tinnitus, hyperacusis, sleep disorder, depression, anxiety, dizziness, migraine, or ear suffocation. The system includes acoustic signal devices for deep brain electrical stimulation and electrical pulse devices for shallow brain electrical stimulation. Further, the system includes a signal-coupling module that includes an algorithm for coupling acoustic signals to electrical pulses. Parameters of each the acoustic signals and the electrical pulses are adjusted in order for the acoustic signals to be coupled to the electrical pulses. These parameters can also be adjusted based on patient feedback.

Abstract: A medical procedure for treating human male and female patients suffering from erectile or sexual dysfunction, respectively, with extracorporeal dual shockwave therapy applied to strategic, gender-specific anatomical regions to improve sexual function. Some or all of the gender-specific anatomical regions may be anesthetized using a topical or local anesthetic, and both radial and focused extracorporeal shockwaves are applied to the anatomical regions at predetermined bar values, frequencies, and number of shockwave pulses, based on the severity of the sexual dysfunction. Radial and focused extracorporeal shockwaves may be used in additional to convention methods of treating both erectile and sexual dysfunction.

The sleep training device can receive an instruction to schedule a sleep program based on a set parameter from another device in wireless communication with the sleep training device, initiate the sleep program once the set parameter is met, and disable at least one of the physical switches and the capacitive touch component when the sleep program is initiated.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide an improved stimulation device for sexual gratification. An enclosure includes a moveable shaft in a phallic shape, and a vibration surface located near the base of the shaft. The arrangement allows the shaft to be inserted in the vagina of a user while the vibration surface is in contact with the clitoral region of the user. In embodiments, the enclosure comprises two concave sides and a convex opposing surface. The concave side surfaces are well suited to accommodate the legs of a user. The convex opposing surface enables a rocker mode of operation in which the user places the device on a floor surface such that the convex opposing surface is on the floor, and then straddles the device, enabling a rocking motion during stimulation, which can create an enhanced user experience.
