  • Patent number: 11670266
Abstract: A musical instrument stand is detachably secured to a musical instrument and is movable from a stowed position into a deployed position to support the musical instrument in an upright orientation. The stand includes a low-profile track that is attached to the back of the instrument and an assembly that is configured to removably receive the track to secure the assembly to the musical instrument via the track. The assembly has a base member and a leg member that is pivotally attached to the base member at the tops thereof and is pivotal between the stowed and deployed positions. In the stowed position, the leg member lays against the base member. In the deployed position, the leg member forms together with the base member and instrument an A-frame like support for the instrument. The stand is low profile in relation to the musical instrument and does not interfere with the normal operation of the instrument.

  • Patent number: 11663995
Abstract: Systems and methods for translating strings of a stringed instruments as well as providing for adjustable tensioning. In embodiments, a stringed instrument, may include an instrument body having a front side and a back side wherein, as with most stringed instruments, the strings are disposed on the front side of the body for playing. Different from conventional stringed instruments though, at least a portion of at least one string may be disposed on the backside of the body as well. Thus, a first set of string anchor points are disposed on front side and a second set of string anchor points are disposed on the back side. That is, the strings are translated form the front side to the back side by passing the one or more translated strings through an aperture in the body called a through-bridge. Further, embodiments may include additional versatility by having adjustable tensioning systems.

  • Patent number: 11640813
Abstract: A string bender mechanism for a string musical instrument having a bender assembly comprising a control member and at least two bender levers. The control member moving between a first position and at least a second position, being a rest and active position, respectively. The at least two bender levers have a first end and a second end. The first end of said bender lever is dimensioned or adjacent to the control member and the second end of the bender lever receives a string. When the control member is in the first position, the bender levers are at rest and a tone emanates from a plucked string. When the control member is in the second position, the bender levers move simultaneously, and a varied tone emanates from a plucked string. In an alternative embodiment, one or more bender levers may be replaced with a switcher assembly.

  • Patent number: 11640814
Abstract: A suspension system for a drum includes upper and lower suspension structures defining a pair of mounting holes including an upper and a lower mounting hole. A vibration isolation member is received in each mounting hole of the pair. When the suspension system is mounted to the drum via the pair of mounting holes and an associated vibration isolation members receives an associated tensioning rod at a support location, one of the vibration isolation members engages a downwardly facing surface of the upper drum hoop and the other vibration isolation member engages a downwardly facing surface of a lower lug to support weight of the drum upwardly. The suspension system prevents a moment force on the drum when the drum is oriented in a horizontal or angled position due to the support locations being oriented to be balanced with respect to a center of gravity of the drum.
