  • Patent number: 11233994
Abstract: According to a first aspect, a method is provided. The method includes obtaining an M×N array of pixel values an image; determining a weight selection value for position x,y in the M×N array; and using the weight selection value to obtain a weight value for use in a filter for filtering the image. Determining the weight selection value for position x,y (omegax,y) includes: a) retrieving a previously determined weight selection value for position x,y?1 (omegax,y?1); b) retrieving a previously determined alpha value (a) for position x,y?1; c) calculating a delta value (d); and d) calculating omegax,y=omegax,y?1?a+d. Calculating d includes: i) retrieving a first previously determined value (omega_row); i) retrieving a second previously determined value (alpha_row); and ii) calculating d=omega_row?alpha_row+abs(Ax+1,y+1?Ax+1,y+2), wherein Ax+1,y+1 is the value stored in position x+1,y+1 of the array and Ax+1,y+2 is the value stored in position x+1,y+2 of the array.

  • Patent number: 11226478
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for viewing a specimen using a microscope which comprises an objective lens and an image sensor for converting an image formed on the image sensor by the objective lens. A field of view of the microscope can be varied by selecting a section of the image sensor. In one step of the method, an initial image of at least a partial section of the specimen is captured with the microscope, for which a first field of view is selected on the microscope. The initial image is analyzed to determine at least two differing fields of view forming a partial area image, wherein a partial area of the initial image is formed by each of the fields of view forming a partial area image. Images of the partial areas of the specimen are captured for each of the determined fields of view forming a partial area image. The invention further relates to a microscope for viewing a specimen using a microscope.

  • Patent number: 11223826
Abstract: Provided are an image processing device capable of performing compression processing on a video captured in each video capturing mode according to a first video capturing mode and a second video capturing mode with different capturing conditions. A possible range of a quantization parameter applied in a case where the video is compressed is made different in the first video capturing mode and the second video capturing mode with different capturing conditions. The quantization parameter is determined within a first range in a case of the first video capturing mode, and the quantization parameter is determined within a second range narrower than the first range in a case of the second video capturing mode. In particular, a second upper limit value of the second range is smaller than a first upper limit value of the first range, and a second lower limit value of the second range is larger than a first lower limit value of the first range.

  • Patent number: 11184585
Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a control disposed at a vehicle. A camera is disposed at an in-cabin side of the vehicle windshield and views forward of the vehicle. During a driving maneuver of the vehicle, the vehicular vision system, responsive at least in part to an output of a radar sensor, detects an object that is located within the radar sensor's field of sensing and outside of the camera's field of view and determines movement of the object relative to the vehicle. During the driving maneuver of the vehicle, information pertaining to movement of the detected object toward an area within the field of view of the camera is provided to the control. During the driving maneuver, and responsive to the provided information, and with the detected object present within the camera's field of view, the vehicular vision system determines that the detected object is an object of interest.
