Abstract: An exercise apparatus that lies flat on the floor having a back rest rises up when supported by two springs. The lower part of the back and buttocks lie horizontal while the upper part of the back is inclined at an angle to the horizontal. When not in use, the upper back rest folds down flat so that the device can be stored under a bed. The two springs provide back support when the individual is in the reclining position. However, as a person goes from a sitting position to a reclining position, when his or her shoulders contact the back rest, the springs compress and then expand to assist the individual in rising up. The device has two specially designed positionable foot rests with straps to provide a place for the individual to place his or her feet.

Abstract: An abdominal exerciser in which the body floats with respect to the exerciser frame, which leads to isolating the abdominal muscles. The exerciser includes a seat; a frame adapted to support said seat in a position that is raised off a floor; a seat pivot connecting said seat and frame, said pivot located under said seat; an upper body arm adapted to engage the upper body of a user; an upper body arm pivot connecting said seat and said upper body arm; and a lower body arm attached to said seat.

Abstract: An exercise machine includes a rocker pivotally attached to a base. Pins are attached to the bottom of the rocker. Pins are attached to the base. Tensioned elastic members each extend from a pin in the base to a pin attached to the bottom of the rocker. The elastic members assist or oppose each other depending on the position of the rocker. The elastic members function to rotate the rocker in different directions when the rocker is pivoted to different positions.

Abstract: An abdominal exercise bar accessory having a rigid bar that is placed against a user's chest and cradled within his underarm region, with two alternating upward and downward extending handles attached to the bar opposite the user so that the user's arms partially overlap while gripping the handles. A rigid side extension extends upward from the bar and is attached to an overhead resistance station, such as a cable-and-pulley weight system. The bar is preferably concave, but may be straight, and preferably includes cushioned pads. A method of use in which the user rotates and moves the bar downward from an upright sitting position towards the user's thighs, causing it to travel in a non-circular, non-uniform pathway that matches that of the user's natural body movements, then returns to an upright sitting position.

Abstract: An exercise repetition sensor comprises an electricity generator, such as an electricity generator, which is coupled to an exercise system, where the electricity generator is capable of sensing exercise movements of any size or intensity on the exercise system. The electricity generator can be based on a number of electrical, magnetic, or optical sensing principles. For example, an electricity generator comprising an electricity generator includes a spindle that is coupled to one or more parts that move in proportion to an applied force. The voltage-generator generates an electrical current as the spindle moves, and sends the electrical current to an electronic display interface. Abstract: An exercise dumbbell includes a handle member and weight plates maintained in spaced relationship at opposite ends thereof. Weight selectors are rotatable into and out of engagement with different combinations of the weight plates to secure a desired amount of mass to the handle. The weight selectors selectively underlie peripheral portions the weights to secure the weights to the handle member. Abstract: A machine, apparatus, and method for targeting the abdominal and oblique muscle groups. The abdominal exercise system includes a frame, carriage, and an upper body support. In one embodiment, the user places at least a portion of their lower body on the carriage. The user leans their forearms and elbows against an angled upper body support while grasping a set of handles to secure the user's upper body. In turn, the user swings the carriage back and forth along an arcuate path beginning at a position behind the upper body support and ending at a position in front of the upper support, thereby contracting and relaxing the abdominal muscle group.
