Abstract: A sink system and methods of making and using sink systems including a sink basin and a discharge conduit coupled to the sink basin, which is positioned to expel fluid into the sink basin via an outlet thereof. The flow of fluid through the discharge conduit may be activated via a motion sensor or switch coupled directly to the basin or a spacer ring positioned between the basin and the countertop. Controls for adjusting the temperature and/or flow rate of fluid through the discharge conduit may also be coupled to the basin or a spacer ring positioned between the basin and the countertop, or alternatively, to a surface of the countertop.

Abstract: The flushable splash sheets incorporates a sheeting structure and a toilet. The toilet further incorporates a toilet bowl. The toilet forms a port into the DWV of a domestic plumbing system. The sheeting structure is a degradable structure. By degradable structure is meant that the sheeting structure degrades when placed within the DWV environment. The sheeting structure mounts within the bowl of the toilet. The sheeting structure prevents an excretion flow from splashing out of the toilet bowl. The sheeting structure prevents the splashing of the excretion flow by redirecting portions of the excretion flow in random directions. The sheeting structure is flushed into the DWV for disposal.

Abstract: A splatter shield device for toilets, which is designed to solve the problem of waste splatter and/or overspray by containing and/or channeling waste back into the toilet bowl itself. The device generally comprises a semi-rigid frame defining an inner collection area and a flexible sheeting at least partially covering the inner collection area. The frame margins may comprise folds that are configured to impart a number of advantages, such as ease of installation, improved collection and/or channeling performance, and aesthetic discreetness. The device may also be made of biodegradable and/or flushable materials, greatly simplifying use and cleaning.

Abstract: A connector apparatus featuring a main pipe with first and second opposed ends. Each has a corresponding male-threaded fastening section for mating with the complimentary female-threaded fastening section on a respective conventional pipe-locking ring or collar. A valve-housing for supporting a one-way flow valve assembly interiorly, and a riser mounted on and supported by the valve housing for ultimate connection to the output or exhaust nozzle of a medical scavenger device.

Abstract: A sink system includes a basin and a rinsing system. The basin includes a first wall configured to contain water within the basin. The rinsing system is integrated with the basin. The rinsing system includes one or more water outlets and a fluid conduit. The one or more water outlets are located along the first wall of the basin and are configured to dispense water into the basin. The fluid conduit extends at least partially along the first wall of the basin. The fluid conduit is fluidly coupled to the one or more water outlets and is configured to deliver water to the one or more water outlets.

Abstract: Spa systems may be used all year round and in colder weather provide an enjoyable experience for users through the cold ambient outdoor temperature and the heated water of the spa. However, failures in respect of the water circulating pump and/or heater of the spa system either mechanically, electrically or through overall power outages mean the water in the spa system and its pipework can easily freeze if ambient conditions are cold enough leading to cracks in the spa system or pipes and hence leaks when the water thaws requiring costly repair or replacement of components or entire systems. Accordingly, a freeze protection system is provided that uses a backup thermal management system discretely or in combination with other backup systems. These freeze protection systems offering backup when mechanical failures, electrical failures etc. arise by providing thermal input to the spa system through alternate thermal paths and providing alarms.

Abstract: A drain pipe connector adapted to be disposed between a drain portal of a plumbing fixture and a sewage pipe. The drain pipe connector includes a first unidirectional valve adapted to be in fluid communication with the drain portal, and a drain trap in connected to the first unidirectional valve and adapted to be connected to the sewage pipe. The first unidirectional valve has a closed operative orientation, in which the first unidirectional valve forms a seal between the drain portal and the drain trap, and an open operative orientation which enables flow of fluid from the drain portal, via the first unidirectional valve, into the drain trap. The first unidirectional valve is normally closed, and when liquid drains into the first unidirectional valve, pressure applied by the liquid transitions the first unidirectional valve from the closed operative orientation to the open operative orientation, thereby enabling the liquid to flow into the drain trap.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a manifold heat exchange fitting (32) configured to collect a plurality of fluid streams of fluids having different fluid densities. The fitting includes a body (52) with a generally open fluid collection interior area (56). The body of the heat exchange fitting is positioned in a central fluid path that includes a body inlet (58) and a body outlet (60). A plurality of fluid stream fitting openings (76) in the body are connectable to fluid streams of fluids having different densities delivered from water discharge devices such as an autoclave, a steam sterilizer in the steam cooler. The fluid streams of the fluids having different densities collected in fluid communication in the fluid collection interior area may undergo heat exchange prior to discharge from the body outlet.

Abstract: A near-end sensing electronic faucet comprises a manual mixing valve, an electronic switch valve switching between an on state and an off state, a spout fluidly connected to the electronic switch valve, and an electronic module. The manual mixing valve comprises a valve body fluidly connected to a cold water source and a hot water source and outputting a mixed water, and an adjusting lever operated to adjust flow of the cold water source and the hot water source to change a water temperature of the mixed water. The electronic module comprises a proximity sensor and a controller electrically connected to the proximity sensor which is provided and exposed on a top surface of the near-end sensing electronic faucet, the proximity sensor includes an activated state and an inactivated state, and the controller controls movement of the electronic switch valve.

Abstract: A low profile spa jet having a structure allowing for the use of a jet housing for both threaded/nut and grommet installation, wherein the jet protrudes into the spa tub less than 0.5?. The low profile spa jet also can have a jet face/flange that is interchangeable between threaded and grommet jet bodies without changing the relationship to the spa wall, wherein the jet protrudes the same amount in the installed state for both styles of jet body. The low profile spa jet also can have a jet face/flange that is removable and/or interchangeable before and after the jet body and jet internal are installed in the spa.

Abstract: A basin bidet style personal perineal cleansing system includes a secondary toilet seat having right and left side slot openings, a handle assembly with handle stems extending through the side slot openings, hand grips disposed at the distal ends of the handle stems, and a basin support carrying a basin with an interior sprayer. The handle stems are pivotally supported within the side slot openings. The proximal ends of the two handle stems are rotatably attached to the basin support. When a user applies downward force on the hand grips, the distal ends of the handle stems move downwardly, the proximal ends of the handle stems pivot upwardly, and the basin support with the attached basin is raised to achieve a suitable fit against the user's perineal area, which is then sprayed with water from the interior sprayer.

Abstract: A wave generation assembly for producing a wave in a pool for surfing includes a below ground pool that is filled with water. A boat hull is integrated into the below ground pool and the boat hull is partially submerged in the water contained in the below ground pool. An outlet jet is coupled to the boat hull such that the outlet jet is submerged in the water. A propulsion unit is integrated into the boat hull and the propulsion unit is in fluid communication with the outlet jet. The propulsion unit urges the water outwardly through the outlet jet at a velocity sufficient to generate a wave in the water which extends away from the boat hull. In this way the outlet jet facilitates the user to surf on the wave generated by the outlet jet.
