  • Patent number: 9609488
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for managing broadcasts of data in wireless communications. A request to join a multicast session is received. A plurality of broadcast technology based identifiers associated with the multicast session are received. Each broadcast technology based identifier identifies one of a plurality of radio access technologies (RATs) broadcasting the multicast session. One of the plurality of RATs is selected. A multicast stream of data associated with the multicast session is received from the selected RAT.

  • Patent number: 9585175
Abstract: A method carried out by a first communications router for transmitting data packets to a second communications router by establishing an aggregated end-to-end connection with the second communications router. The aggregated end-to-end connection comprises a plurality of established end-to-end connections which are classified into a first group and at least one non-first group of established end-to-end connection(s). The first group of established end-to-end connection(s) satisfy all of one or more conditions and the at least one non-first group of established end-to-end connection(s) do not satisfy all of the one or more conditions. Data packets are transmitted through the first group of established end-to-end connection(s) and the at least one non-first group of established end-to-end connection(s), although, it is preferred to transmit data packets through the first group of established end-to-end connection(s).

  • Patent number: 9571356
Abstract: A method and high availability cluster configuration for capture of data packets propagating in an external network into the cluster through a wired-tap connection between the cluster and at least one router of the external network. Captured packets are supplied with popularity tags and striped over high-access-rate non-transitory storage media belonging to a capture pool of serving nodes that are specially provisioned and selected by the master node. The captured packets are either devolved or demoted to low-access-rate non-transitory storage media of at least two serving nodes not including any backup master based on popularity metrics contained their tags. The demotion, devolution as well as determination of popularity metrics and setting of a popularity threshold are managed by a distributed management protocol.

  • Patent number: 9531508
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for recreating missing data packets of a data session established between a first communications router and a second communications router through an aggregated connection. The first communications router receives data packets belonging to a data session from the second communications router through the aggregated connection. The data packets are destined to a first host reachable through the first communications router. The first communications router transmits the data packets to the first host and determines whether there is one or more missing data packets. If there is one or more missing data packets, the first communications router determines global sequence number(s) (GSN) and per tunnel sequence numbers (PTSN) of the one or more missing data packets and recreates payload(s) of the one or more missing data packet(s). One or more new data packets are then transmitted to the first host.

  • Patent number: 9490867
Abstract: A code division multiple access (CDMA) communications device includes a CDMA receiver to isolate a CDMA signal, and a processor to generate a quantized sample representation of the CDMA signal. The processor performs a hard correlation between the quantized sample representation of the CDMA signal and a quantized representation of a reference to generate a coarse time alignment. Based upon the coarse time alignment, the processor performs a soft correlation between actual values of the CDMA signal and the reference.

  • Patent number: 9473274
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for transmitting data packets from a first communications router to a second communications router through an aggregated connection comprising a plurality of tunnels. The first communications router receives a first data packet belonging to a data session from a first host. The first communications router then transmits the first data packet to the second communications router and stores the first data packet in a local storage medium. The first communications router determines whether an error correction mode is activated. If an error correction mode is activated, the first communications router retransmits the first data packet and also transmits an error correction packet corresponding to the first data packet.

  • Patent number: 9357346
Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure involve a system and/or method for indoor mapping. The indoor mapping system may receive wireless signals from wireless devices located in an area and create a wireless signal fingerprint that identifies each signal and the strength of the signal. A user may identify the location that the wireless signal fingerprint was taken on a geo-referenced map. After the wireless signal fingerprints for an area have been mapped, a user may determine a location by taking a wireless signal fingerprint and comparing the wireless signal fingerprint to previously taken wireless signal fingerprints.

  • Patent number: 9281951
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with any-to-any multicasting in a tunnel based virtual private network (VPN) are described. One example method includes calculating a resolved address for an unknown reverse path forwarding (RPF) neighbor in an any-to-any multicasting route. The resolved address is calculated using next hop resolution protocol (NHRP) resolution. The address is to be resolved based on control plane traffic. The NHRP address resolution is not to affect unicast routing. The example method may also include establishing the any-to-any multicasting route. Since the multicasting route is any-to-any (e.g., spoke-to-spoke), the multicasting route is not required to include a hub in the logical hub-and-spoke network.

  • Patent number: 9225627
Abstract: A method, system and computer readable medium for redistributing routes in backbone edge bridge multi-chassis link aggregation group topologies between two routing protocols is described. The method can include learning, at a first node and a second node, a first routing table entry originating from a first side of a network and being received in a first protocol and creating, at the first node and the second node, and generating second routing entry information corresponding to the first routing table entry, in a second protocol different from the first protocol. The method can also include exchanging the second routing entry information between the first node and the second node. The first node and/or the second node add the second routing entry information to the routing table when the first routing entry is not present in the routing table and ignores the second routing entry information when the first routing entry is present in the routing table.
