  • Patent number: 11943692
Abstract: Emergency response by facilitating communication between an emergency communications center and user devices. Such user devices may be highly available without special training, such as cell phones. Furthermore, such communication is available even without the use of a cellular network. Thus, even in emergencies in which cellular communication is no longer possible, individuals can communicate their emergency needs and situation to an emergency communications center, allowing that center to gain a holistic, comprehensive, and fresh understanding of the needs of the community. The communication center can thereby coordinate with capable individuals and resources within the community to help address those needs.

  • Patent number: 11941970
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a call coordination system configured to manage both static-type and dynamic-type emergency calls via a singular IP address and a single set of SIP peering connections. The call coordination system a unified structural framework wherein individual accounts, whether static or dynamic, are structured into hierarchical parent-child relationships to form linked accounts. These linked accounts can include both static-type and dynamic-type ES accounts. Upon receipt of an incoming call, the call coordination system can determine the call type and processes the call accordingly.

  • Patent number: 11937016
Abstract: A system, platform, computer program product, and/or method to analyze a computer-implemented video conference includes: a plurality of participant devices, and a central processing server. Each participant device is configured to form a video snippet for a time interval of the video conference having audio data and video data; generate a transformed video snippet by embedding extracted participant data and/or metadata into the video snippet; and send each transformed video snippet to the central processing server. The central processing server receives each transformed video snippet; performs analytics on each transformed video snippet; and transmits to at least one of the participant devices, results of the performed analytics. Participant devices can display one or more results of the performed analytics.

  • Patent number: 11930436
Abstract: An emergency call data relay includes a frame buffer and a frame handler. The frame buffer stores data frames received from a central system (e.g., a central CPE host). The data frames include call data associated with an emergency call being handled at a remote system (e.g., a PSAP) connected to the central system. The frame handler receives a data frame from the frame buffer, identifies a remote system handling the emergency call associated with the call data based on a network address in the data frame, extracts the call data from the data frame, and generates an output packet for a data gateway. The output packet has a header indicating a particular data gateway profile associated with the identified remote system handling the emergency call.

  • Patent number: 11924732
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for emergency communications (e.g., voice calls and/or SMS messages) for UE's without cellular coverage (e.g., in non-cellular coverage). A UE may establish, while out of range of cellular service, a peer-to-peer communication session with a relay UE using a channel in an unlicensed frequency band. The UE may transmit, using the peer-to-peer communication session, an emergency notification to the relay UE. The emergency notification may include an approximate location of the UE. Further the UE may communicate with a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), where the communications may be relayed between the UE and the PSAP by the relay UE. The approximate location of the UE may be based, at least in part, on a location of the relay UE and determining the approximate location of the UE may include performing a ranging procedure with the relay UE.

  • Patent number: 11909915
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing 911 or enhanced 911 (“E911”) address update. In various embodiments, in response to a trigger event, a computing system may determine whether E911 address data associated with a customer that is stored in an E911 database requires updating. If so, the computing system may update the E911 database with address data associated with the customer that has been validated or verified (if available). Where no validated or verified address associated with the customer is available, the computing system may send a message to the customer to provide updated 911 or E911 address data; may receive, from a user device associated with the customer via an API over a network(s) operated by the service provider, updated 911 or E911 address data from the customer; and may update the E911 database with the received updated 911 or E911 address data from the customer.

  • Patent number: 11889398
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing emergency assistance includes receiving audio, visual, or text data about an ongoing emergency at a public safety answering point, comparing that data to a database of other emergencies with an artificial intelligence engine, recognizing patterns in aggregated and correlated data by the artificial intelligence engine, and generating appropriate audio, visual, and text output for a human operator to respond to the emergency. An AI engine receives audio data, visual data, and text data related to ongoing emergencies being received at public safety answering points and compares it with data from other emergencies. The AI engine identifies key words and patterns and generates appropriate messages for operators. The system continuously generates feedback to the AI engine to aid in machine learning. The feedback includes: “the message was correct; continue drawing this conclusion”; and “the message was wrong; do not continue drawing this conclusion.

  • Patent number: 11854356
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for separating the motion detection zone(s) of an A/V recording and communication device from the motion alert zone(s) of the A/V recording and communication device. For example, an A/V recording and communication device may be configured to generate motion alerts, and to record audio and video footage, when an event is detected within a selected motion alert zone (e.g., within a defined radius around the A/V recording and communication device). However, the A/V recording and communication device may not generate a motion alert for an event detected outside of the selected motion alert zone, even though the device may still record audio and video footage for the detected event (e.g., when the event is within a selected motion detection zone).
