  • Patent number: 11113733
Abstract: An improved architecture including system and methods for online advertising placement that provide possibly defaulting advertisement tags the opportunity to serve an advertisement ahead of a lower value tag that is guaranteed to fill, resulting in higher CPMs (i.e., Cost Per Mille) for web publishers. The system and methods are configured to deterministically render an advertisement impression from a list of possibly defaulting advertisements in a JavaScript-enabled web browser. The knowledge of the complete outcome of such an “ad chain” at render-time significantly reduces complexity and latency in the supporting ad server. The system and method centers around a novel JavaScript approach to detect when an advertisement has been loaded but not defaulted.

  • Patent number: 11093987
Abstract: The present invention relates particularly to a system and method for providing product data for use in on-line product catalogs used for promotional schemes, such as loyalty and incentive schemes. Loyalty and incentive systems are well known, where participants gain virtual currency which they can use to purchase goods or services. The present invention enables a plurality of on-line catalogs to be constructed from a stream of supplier data. Selection criteria are used to select product data from the supplier data to go in each catalog. The product data can be updated in real time for each catalog on the basis of the selection criteria.

  • Patent number: 11080767
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling the display of content of information resources are described herein. The system can receive a request for an information resource from a client device. The system can transmit the information resource that can include a first content portion, a second content portion, and a content display management script. The content display management script can include instructions that can cause the client device to: (a) set a scroll range of the information resource from a first location to a second location in the information resource; (b) display, within a portion of the information resource between the first location and the second location, the first content portion and an ad that can include actionable item; and (c) set, responsive to detecting an interaction on the actionable item, the scroll range from the first location to a third location of the information resource.

  • Patent number: 11068925
Abstract: The real-time digital asset sampling apparatuses, methods and systems (“RDA”) transform ad bidding requests via RDA components and/or the like into ad pricing indices, financial instruments and/or the like. In one implementation, the RDA may determine a digital asset market bid sampling distribution for a digital asset associated with a plurality of attribute parameters; submit a digital asset pricing bid to an exchange platform; determine a current digital asset price based on bidding result of the digital asset market bids sampling; and aggregate the determined current digital asset price to generate a digital asset price index for the digital asset associated with a plurality of attribute parameters.

  • Patent number: 10956930
Abstract: Dynamic Hierarchical Empirical Bayes techniques and systems are described that are implemented to control output of digital content. In one example, a system identifies splitting variables included in data. An amount of loss is then determined for each of the identified splitting variables by the system using a loss function. Based on the determined amounts of loss, the system selects at least one splitting variable from the plurality of splitting variables that are to be used to partition data in a respective node, e.g., a parent node to form a plurality of child nodes. The system, for instance, may select the splitting variable that minimizes the cost, i.e., has the lowest amount of cost. The selected splitting variable is then employed by the system to generate at least one hierarchical level of the hierarchical structure of the statistical model by partitioning data from the parent node into respective child nodes.

  • Patent number: 10861056
Abstract: An online system provides a virtual world including a plurality of locations spatially distributed throughout the virtual world. The online system receives sponsorship requests for generating locations in the virtual world associated with one or more advertisers. A sponsorship request identifies a position in the virtual world for presenting the location and a bid amount specifying an amount of compensation to the online system for presenting the location at the position in the virtual world. When an opportunity to present a location at a position in the virtual world to a user is identified, the online system selects a location from the received sponsorship request for presentation at the position based at least in part on the bid amounts of the sponsorship requests.

  • Patent number: 10713691
Abstract: A sponsor specifies a content campaign along with a budget, a duration, a maximum bid value and one or more objectives associated with the content campaign. An online system presenting the sponsored content calibrates the pacing factor of the content campaign to present the sponsored content evenly throughout the specified duration of the campaign. Paced bids are provided for the content campaign to compete for placement in opportunities during a ramp-up period, in which the paced bid associated with the campaign is adjusted to the maximum bid value. The target-ramp up period is iteratively determined as the current paced bid approaches the maximum bid value to avoid overspending the budget early in the campaign. When a conversion event occurs, the ramp-up period ends and the content campaign transitions to a normal pacing algorithm.

  • Patent number: 10692116
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for optimization of ad request fulfillment for mobile device applications. In one embodiment, a system may receive an ad request from a mobile device, and determine a first price point associated with a publisher of the ad request. The system may send a bid request to ad servers, receive a first bid with a first bid amount, and may determine that the first bid amount is a highest bid amount. The system may determine that the first price point is less than the first bid amount, and may send the first bid amount and the first price point to the mobile device, where the mobile device is configured to send the first bid amount and the first price point to a publisher ad server, and the publisher ad server is configured to determine that the first bid amount is a winning bid amount.
