Abstract: A method and system for fulfilling in-application product redemption requests is described. A fulfillment system receives a product search application programming interface (API) call from an application. The product search API includes a set of at least one product criterion received from an application. An aggregated catalog is searched based on the set of at least one product criterion. A set of product metadata is returned. The set of product metadata corresponds to at least one product that matches the set of at least one product criterion. A redemption API call that includes product information and a physical address is also received from the application. A fulfillment request is sent to an online retail platform separate from the fulfillment system via a fulfillment API call that includes the product information and the physical address for the online retail platform to deliver a corresponding product to the physical address.

Abstract: An online concierge shopping system identifies recipes to users to encourage them to include items from the recipes in orders. The online concierge system maintains user embeddings for users and recipe embeddings for recipes. For users who have not placed orders, recipes are recommended based on global user interactions with recipes. Users who have previously ordered items from recipes are suggested recipes selected based on a similarity of their user embedding to recipe embeddings. Users who have purchased items but not from recipes are compared to a set of similar users based on the user embeddings, and recipes with which users of the set of similar users interacted are used for identifying recipes to the users. A recipe graph may be maintained by the online concierge system to identify similarities between recipes for expanding candidate recipes to suggest to users.

Abstract: Generating themes for different item offers is described. An item listing system receives a request for a target item and generates themes for the target item by grouping offers based on their properties. The item listing system then determines a display order for the themes based on user behavior data. The item listing system then communicates the themes and display order to a client device from which the request was received, causing the client device to display an interface including at least a subset of the themes, arranged according to the display order. Themes including offers determined to be more appealing to the user of the client device are displayed more prominently relative to other themes. The item listing system is further configured to dynamically modify the display order in real-time based on offer changes, such that the interface continuously provides correct information describing available offers for the target item.

The systems may convert customization option selections made at the customization user interface screens into decorating instructions for the food product and transmit the decorating instructions to the bakery. The systems may determine a position in a preparation queue for the food product based in part on attributes of pending food product orders in a preparation queue at the bakery.

A user then utilizes a risk analysis system to receive and store user activity data for the user's activities. When a purchase attempt is made with the user's financial account, a merchant sends a transaction request to the risk analysis system. The risk analysis system locates a record for the user and determines whether the product is identified in the user activity data. If the product is identified, the risk analysis system provides a risk score to the merchant indicating that the transaction is unlikely fraudulent. Alternatively, identification of the product provides a positive factor among multiple factors considered in a transaction risk analysis. An absence of the product in the activity can be used as a neutral or negative factor among multiple factors considered in a risk analysis of the transaction.

Moreover, the disclosed method provides a way to customize articles of footwear for a customer on an ongoing basis, such that the heel stability of the articles of footwear is refined until a tailored fit is achieved for the same customer. Generally, the method may include providing a user/customer with an article of footwear, getting evaluation information about the stability of the article of footwear from a survey (e.g., asking the user to rate the stability of the article of footwear in a smartphone app), modifying the next article of footwear provided to the user/customer according to the evaluation information, and iterating through this process to give the user an article optimized for stability.

For each item of at least a subset of the plurality of items, the online concierge system calculates a streak statistic based on a corresponding subset of user streaks and the overall streak distribution. The online concierge system selects a set of staples items for a user based on the streak statistics for the set of staple items and generates a display for the user with a selectable list of the set of staple items.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program products for researching products, reviewing product information, comparing products and making recommendations based on the comparison of similar products using augmented reality. The present disclosure utilizes augmented display systems may take many different forms such a glasses, smart watches or other wearable computer systems or portable computing system such as smart phones, tablet computers, laptops, personal data assistants (PDA's), portable media devices and digital camera systems. The augmented display system view an object digitally captured or recorded, detect the identity of the object using object recognition software and retrieve product information associated therewith. The product information may be overlaid or projected onto a HUD having a graphical user interface that allows the user of the system to view both the retrieved product information and the object (or digital representation thereof) simultaneously.
