  • Patent number: 11941630
Abstract: Systems and methods for verifying individuals prior to distribution of one or more benefits are disclosed. One example method includes receiving, at an interface peripheral of a payment card device, a biometric from an individual associated with the device and comparing the received biometric to a biometric reference stored in a memory of the device. The method also includes, in response to the received biometric matching the biometric reference, setting a biometric status in the memory of the device for an expiration interval and enabling the device for transactions to be funded by an account linked to the device, based on the biometric status being set. The method then includes, in response to expiration of the expiration interval, resetting the biometric status in the device and disabling the device for transactions to be funded by the account, based on the biometric status not being set.

  • Patent number: 11887188
Abstract: To represent broker interest in a security, a system receives broker interest to buy or sell a security at a first price with a minimum trade size, and receives an order with an order trade size. The system determines whether the order trade size is greater than the minimum trade size, and responsive to determining whether the order trade size is greater than the minimum trade size, the system trades at least part of the broker interest against the order if the order trade size is greater than the minimum trade size.

  • Patent number: 11875326
Abstract: Systems and methods associated with media hub devices are provided that passively monitor user devices and transmit targeted media through in-channel transmissions that use the same channel used to monitor the user devices, or shifted channel transmissions that are different than the channel used to monitor the user devices. For example, a media hub device may passively monitor customer devices by scanning a wireless communication channel and obtaining device identification information transmitted by a user device that communicates the device identification information via the wireless communication channel. A media hub device may link the user device with a particular user or may anonymously monitor user behavior, through the monitored user device, without explicit knowledge of the identity of the user. Targeted media may be provided to the user device either in-channel using the same channel used to passively monitor the user device or a shifted channel using a different channel.

  • Patent number: 11842401
Abstract: Certain embodiments reduce the risks of traditionally programmed algorithms such as syntax errors, unclear logic, and the need for a non-trader programmer to develop the algorithm as specified by a trader by reducing or eliminating the writing of programming code by a user. Certain embodiments provide building block buttons and an algorithm area to define an algorithm. Certain embodiments provide live evaluation of an expression as the algorithm is being defined. Certain embodiments provide a design canvas area and blocks for designing an algorithm. Certain embodiments provide live feedback for blocks as the algorithm is being designed. Certain embodiments provide for initiating placement of an order to be managed by a selected user-defined trading algorithm from a value axis and for displaying working orders being managed by different user-defined trading algorithms on the value axis. Certain embodiments provide a ranking tool.

  • Patent number: 11783428
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for an automated system for analyzing damage to process claims and pre-claim consultations associated with an insured item, such as a vehicle. An enhanced claims processing server may analyze damage associated with the insured item using photos/video transmitted to the server from a user device (e.g., a mobile device). The mobile device may receive feedback from the server regarding the acceptability of submitted photos/video, and if the server determines that any of the submitted photos/video is unacceptable, the mobile device may capture additional photos/video until all of the data are deemed acceptable. In addition, the server may interface with third party entities such as repair shops and may generate a payment for compensating a claimant for repair of the insured item.

  • Patent number: 11720870
Abstract: Described is an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), and related systems (and methods), that allows for applications (or “Apps”) to be accessed on the ATM. The system allows for a third-party application to be verified and installed on ATMs to provide users with additional services. The application may access peripherals of the ATM via an Application Programming Interface (API) provided as part of a Software Development Kit (SDK). Accordingly, the system may provide a secure mechanism for ATM providers to provide users with the benefits of accessing third-party applications. Moreover, these applications may leverage specialized ATM peripherals and provide functionality that may not otherwise be available on other types of devices.

  • Patent number: 11715087
Abstract: A method and system support payments between two entities using a mobile device and a token identifier device. A payment or gratuity action is initiated by a payer using their mobile device, such as mobile communication handset, to scan a token identifier stored in the payee's token identifier device. In one example, the token identifier device is an RFID or NFC type device. After the token identifier is obtained, the mobile device communicates the TokenID, gratuity amount, and payer authentication information to a transaction management system that validates and attempts to transfer funds between the two entities. In one example, the transaction management system is a server system that communicates over a TCP/IP network. The transaction management system sends a communication to the mobile device indicating whether or not the transfer was successful.
