The first device includes an imaging unit, a first recognition unit configured to recognize a commodity from a captured image of the imaging unit, and a voice output unit configured to emit a voice if the first recognition unit recognizes the commodity. The second device is separate from the first device, and includes a second recognition unit configured to recognize a commodity from the captured image by a method different from that of the first recognition unit and a second voice generation unit configured to output voice data for sounding the voice output unit if the second recognition unit recognizes the commodity.

Abstract: According to one aspect, the system provides an automated platform for managing R2R, that preserves vendor control over of the communication between retailers. For example, according to one embodiment of the system, only authorized retailers of specific vendors are able to list, request, buy, sell and swap products on the system. In further examples, the system controls execution so that exchanges can occur anonymously, while maintaining the assurances that transactions are facilitated by authorized parties at vendor-set prices. In yet other example, the system permits authorized retailers to list non-performing goods for authorized retailers to obtain by purchase or swap at wholesale cost. In yet other example, the system permits authorized retailers to request goods at wholesale cost and display the requests in a workflow that permits providers execute fulfillment.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a method determines a container containing one or more items associated with one or more item types, the container located at a current position in a storage facility; determines one or more order likelihoods of the one or more item types contained in the container; determines a container utilization likelihood of the container based on the one or more order likelihoods of the one or more item types contained in the container; determines an optimal position for the container in the storage facility based on the container utilization likelihood of the container, the optimal position being different from the current position of the container; and instructing an automated guided vehicle (AGV) to transport the container from the current position of the container to the optimal position of the container in the storage facility.

According to one embodiment, in an information processing device comprising at least one computer processor, a method for selecting an electronic payment credential to communicate to a merchant, may include (1) an electronic wallet backend receiving a plurality of payment credentials associated with a payment account; (2) the electronic wallet backend receiving a credential capability for a merchant; (3) the electronic wallet backend selecting one of the payment credentials for a transaction with the merchant based on the credential capability; and (4) the electronic wallet backend communicating the selected payment credential to a point of transaction device for the merchant.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include apparatuses, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products for automatic product verification and shelf product gap analysis. Some embodiments utilize a multi-imager imaging engine to capture at least two image data objects associated with at least a near field and a far field via corresponding near and far-field imagers. The far field image data object in some embodiments is processed to identify, and/or detect and decode, product information on a product label at a shelving location for future processing. The near-field image data object may be processed to identify a product set located within the environment surrounding the product label. The information identified from each image data object may be processed to identify whether one or more product mismatches, pricing mismatches, and/or product gaps are present at the shelving location, with improved likelihood of success for each task.

Abstract: A system includes a service provider device and a point of sale (POS) device. A session between a user device and the POS device is established. An authentication request associated with the user device is provided via a user interface of the POS device. Subsequent to an authentication of information, responsive to the authentication request, the POS device receives funding instrument (FI) proxy information corresponding to FIs, which is unusable to identify the FIs by a merchant. A selectable representation corresponding to the FI proxy information is provided via the user interface. Responsive to receiving an indication of a selected member from the selectable representation, information for the selected member is sent. The service provider device determines that the session corresponds to an account associated with the user device and the merchant, and performs a transaction for the session using a first FI that corresponds to the selected member.

Abstract: Provided are a re-using e-commerce payment instruments for in-store purchasing systems and methods. A customer enters a check out and a transaction at the point of sale is started. The system receives a pairing request at a wallet processor from a customer mobile device operating a mobile application. This pairing request is created and sent in response to scanning of a code having a transaction identification. The system associates a customer payment profile with the transaction identification and sends associated information to the point of sale. The point of sale sends an amount of sale to authorize to the wallet processor after completing scanning of items. The system creates an authorization for payment and sending the authorization for payment to an authorizer. The transaction may then be completed by processing payment.

Abstract: An automated point of sale system uses one or more cameras to capture images of food products selected by a user for purchase at a food establishment. The point of sale system then compares the images captured to previously captured reference images of such food products being offered at the establishment to find a match for each product, determines the price of each food product the user has selected based on the comparison and match, identifies an account of the user based on a biometric identification of the user and/or reading information from a machine readable token of the user, and automatically causes the account of the user to be charged or debited for the food products identified, thus reducing the check-out time and increasing efficiency of food establishment point of sale systems.

Abstract: A computer vision card reader and/or point of sale device is described. The device is configured to sense when a user inserts a card into a card reader and to determine when a user departs or is about to depart from the device without retrieving the card. The device may issue an audible or visible alert to the user, reminding the user to retrieve the card. The device may additionally send a notification to a mobile device associated with the user that reminds the user that he has left a card at the point of sale. In some embodiments, message sent to the user contains a code and, upon entry of the code, the point of sale or card reader device returns the card to the user.

A last known location of the tracking device can be provided to the search party members, and the search party can remain in effect until the lost tracking device is located. The location of the lost tracking device is provided to the tracking system, which forwards it to the owner of the lost tracking device. Abstract: The self-audited routing of a shipping container includes acquiring a contemporaneous location of a shipping container within location based circuitry of a computing device affixed to the shipping container and retrieving from memory of the computing device affixed to the shipping container, an expected node and a destination node from a sequence of nodes in a path from an origin node of the shipping container, to the destination node. The contemporaneous location is then compared to a location of the expected node and, on the condition that the contemporaneous location is not within a threshold distance of the location of the expected node, a message is transmitted from the computing device over a wireless computer communications network to a remotely disposed client computer indicating a fault in routing of the shipping container to the destination node.

Abstract: A commodity purchase system for assisting a customer not in a store in making a purchase includes a relay server, a first terminal, and second terminal. The first terminal captures an image of commodities in the store, and the second terminal displays the image and detects a user selection operation at a position in the image, and then issues a scan request with information indicating a position in the image at which the selection operation was been made. Upon receipt of the scan request, the first terminal, display the image on which the selection operation was made with the position of the selection operation being marked in the image. The first terminal can then be used to scan one of the commodities and transmit, to the relay server, scanned commodity information. The relay server then registers the scanned commodities for purchase.

Abstract: A display includes two-integrated cameras. A first camera is situated in a top right corner of a front display surface of the display and a second camera is situated in a top left corner of the front display surface. The display is connected to a transaction terminal with the first camera focused on a bagging area associated with the transaction terminal and with the second camera focused on a staging area associated with the transaction terminal. Each camera captures images of items and the item images are streamed over a high-speed display port directly to the transaction terminal. The transaction terminal performs item recognition, item tracking, and auditing on the items based the item images during transaction processing at the transaction terminal.
