Abstract: Provided is an image processing apparatus that utilizes the storage capacity of a ring buffer. A ring buffer is set in the storage unit. A page area setting unit allocates a maximum size page area in page units of the job in the ring buffer set in the storage unit. A band storing unit stores band data while compressing the band data in the page area allocated by the page area setting unit. An image processing unit performs image processing of the band data stored by the band storing unit. Then, the page area setting unit determines whether or not the page has high possibility to be reused, and when the page has high possibility to be reused, the page area setting unit allocates the page area at the head of the ring buffer.

Abstract: A method for delivering a fax to a fax recipient includes receiving a multipage fax transmitted at a fax server. As each page of a multipage fax is received, a page event notification is generated. Each page of the multipage fax file is converted into a corresponding page file. A page complete notification is generated upon completion of conversion of each page of the multipage fax file into the page file. Access is enabled to the page file of the multipage fax file responsive to receipt of the page complete notification associated with the page file. Access to the page file is enabled while subsequent pages of the multipage fax are being received and converted to the associated fax file.

Abstract: In a communication system, an image forming apparatus sends an address of a receiving section to an external device. The external device receives a selection of image data through plural thumbnails displayed on a display section, and wirelessly sends the selected image data to the image forming apparatus with the address. The image forming apparatus receives the selected image data sent with the address by the external device, and prints an image based on the selected image data. The image forming apparatus accepts a selection indicating whether a communication between the external device and the image forming apparatus is performed by a first communication system method or a second communication system method.
Abstract: In an image processing apparatus, a controller determines using setting specification information whether all of a plurality of users is permitted to use all of a plurality of setting values for a setting category in response to receiving a registration instruction. The setting specification information specifies for each user at least one setting value that is permitted to use for an image process by the user. In response to determining that any of the plurality of users is not permitted to use all of the setting values for the setting category, the controller transmits to the server a registration request not including the plurality of setting values for the setting category. The controller controls, in response to receiving a function execution instruction from the server, an image processing unit to execute the image process in accordance with a setting including a setting value for the setting category.

Abstract: An image processing device includes a communication interface and a processor. The communication interface acquires a read image generated by reading an original document. The processor determines in accordance with an original document image, which corresponds to the original document in the read image, which one of a first skew causing tilt in the original document image and a second skew causing distortion in the original document image occurs. The processor changes in accordance with a result of the determination, processing to be executed when the skew occurs in the original document image. The second skew may include distortion of the original document image and tilt of the original document image.

Abstract: A printed document client receives a first print stream for a soft copy document, determines whether one or more conditions for adding a graphical symbol to the printed document are satisfied, and when the one or more conditions for adding the graphical symbol to the printed document are satisfied, adds the graphical symbol to the first print stream to generate a second print stream that includes the graphical symbol, and outputs the second print stream to a printer so the graphical symbol is printed on the printed document corresponding to the soft copy document. The printed document can be a hard copy document or a soft copy document generated from the second print stream.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a system, non-transitory computer-readable medium, and method for printing. A plurality of unique identifiers can be generated for a printing device, each of the plurality of email addresses being associated with a unique printing configuration to handle print requests. A print request can be received from a print request source, where the print request is addressed to a specified unique identifier. The received print request can be handled in accordance with the unique printing configuration associated with the specified unique identifier.
