Abstract: Method, computer program and apparatus, with which receiving from a user a subject selection of a document and a selection of document components from a set of available document components, and automatically: including the selected document components in the document; recognising a set of tags in the selected document components; maintaining the mapping of available tag types and database fields; for each recognised tag acquiring from a database dynamic data based on the subject, the tag, and mapping of the database fields, and combining at least a portion of the acquired dynamic data to the document at the tag; and indicating to the user modifiable parts of the document. Further, modification data is received from the user and saved to the user's modifiable parts.

Abstract: A method for controlling a screen of a mobile terminal that simultaneously displays a plurality of execution screens is provided. The method preferably includes: displaying a layout composed of a plurality of sections when a magazine creation event is sensed; mapping applications to the plurality of sections in a one-to-one correspondence, respectively to create a magazine; and displaying the magazine, and an execution screen of an application mapped to each of the sections is arranged at the magazine.

Abstract: A display device includes: a display, a communicator comprising communication circuitry configured to communicate with a mobile device, a memory storing one or more instructions, and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory to: control the display to display a second screen corresponding to a first screen output on the mobile device and an indicator based on the display device mirroring a screen of the mobile device, control the communicator to receive object information regarding one or more objects included in the first screen from the mobile device, and to control movement of the indicator based on the object information and the control signal, in response to receipt of a control signal including interaction information regarding the indicator.

Abstract: Techniques in this disclosure may provide a user interface that concurrently displays multiple panels which provide visualization of emergency call data of a law enforcement agency. The user interface can provide a high-level overview of emergency calls in a geographical area. Each panel in the user interface can provide visualization of the emergency calls and/or statistics relating to the calls. A user can customize which panels to include in the user interface and/or customize setting for each panel. The user may apply various types of filters to the data displayed in the user interface, and the panels can update the visualizations according to the filters. The user interface can also provide the ability to show data at various levels of detail within the same user interface or panel. The techniques in the disclosure can provide a convenient, digestible overview of tactical and/or strategic data in a single user interface.

Abstract: A system for creating an output comprises a processing unit, a user input module operably connected to the processing unit, and a video monitor operably connected to the processing unit. The processing unit provides on the video monitor: a grid image comprising multiple cells, each cell representing a duration of time; and a selection area comprising multiple select icons, each select icon representing a source data file. The processing unit is configured such that a user can create a grid layout representing the correlation between individual selected source data files and one or more of the multiple cells. The processing unit produces the output based on the correlation.

Abstract: An example user terminal apparatus includes communication circuitry configured to be connected to a home network comprising a plurality of devices; a display configured to display a UI screen for managing the home network; a sensor configured to sense a user manipulation of the UI screen; and processing circuitry configured to change the UI screen displayed on the display according to the user manipulation. Abstract: A screen capture method includes the following steps: obtaining a screenshot instruction for a target page; obtaining, according to the screenshot instruction, a screenshot of an area currently displayed on the target page; covering the area currently displayed on the target page with the screenshot for display; changing an area covered by the screenshot on the target page to a designated area on the target page; obtaining a screenshot of the designated area; and restoring the target page to the area displayed before the target page is changed to the designated area.

Abstract: A framework for generating and presenting verbal command suggestions to facilitate discoverability of commands capable of being understood and support users exploring available commands. A target associated with a direct-manipulation input is received from a user via a multimodal user interface. A set of operations relevant to the target is selected and verbal command suggestions relevant to the selected set of operations and the determined target are generated. At least a portion of the generated verbal command suggestions is provided for presentation in association with the multimodal user interface in one of three interface variants: one that presents command suggestions as a list, one that presents command suggestions using contextual overlay windows, and one that presents command suggestions embedded within the interface. Each of the proposed interface variants facilitates user awareness of verbal commands that are capable of being executed and teaches users how available verbal commands can be invoked.

In accordance with one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided that includes operations performed by at least one processor including retrieving a plurality of stored snippets of media content related to a blogcast episode, the plurality of stored snippets of media content including one or more snippets of user-contributed content. The method also includes receiving snippet metric data associated with one or more snippets of user-contributed content. In addition, the method includes selecting two or more snippets of the plurality of stored snippets of media content including at least one snippet of user-contributed content and generating a blogcast episode comprising the two or more snippets of the plurality of snippets of media content.

According to one or more aspects, an avatar may be placed on other network sites and updated based on athletic performance data. The avatar may be awarded for goals achieved by a user. The awards or gifts may further include non-avatar related items such as apparel, gift cards and the like.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhancing digital video effects (DVE) operates to embed DVE functionality within a graphics modeling system and provides the user with an interface configured to present model elements to a user as controllable parameters. In order to embed DVE functionality, a dynamic data structure is introduced as a scene to allow the addition of user defined model elements. The user interface enables the identification of, and access to the newly introduced model elements.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for passive scroll hints while presenting graphical content via an application (e.g., a web browser). A location of a mouse cursor, touch input, or tilt angle of a user device may be utilized to identify a horizontal and/or vertical shift amount. The horizontal and/or vertical shift amounts may relate to an amount by which graphical content presented via a viewing window of the application may be shifted in a horizontal and/or vertical direction, respectively. The horizontal and vertical shift amounts may be bounded based at least in part on a total width and/or height of the graphical content. Utilizing the techniques described herein, a user may be informed of the existence of additional graphical content that is outside of the area of the viewing window.
