Abstract: Various examples described herein are directed to systems and methods for managing payments of a first merchant. A mobile wallet application may receive first payment element data describing a first payment element for making a first payment and may determine that the first payment element is to be processed by a limited payment network. The mobile wallet application may send a first payment authorization message to an issuer of the first payment element via the limited payment network. The mobile wallet application may also receive second payment element data describing a second payment element for making a second payment. The mobile wallet application may determine that the second payment element is not to be processed by the limited payment network, and send a second payment authorization message to an issuer of the second payment element via a second payment network.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for synchronizing data between merchants' inventories, and techniques for utilizing the data synchronization to process cross-merchant transactions. For instance, a system may store a first inventory of items indicating first items offered for purchase by a first merchant and a second inventory of items indicating second items offered for purchase by a second merchant. The system may then analyze the first inventory of items with respect to the second inventory of items to determine that the second merchant should offer a first item from the first items for purchase at a physical establishment of the second merchant on behalf of the first merchant. The system can then provide a merchant device of the second merchant with access to the second inventory of items and the first item from the first inventory of items.

Abstract: This disclosure describes an enhanced user interface. For instance, a system may present a user interface indicating a first layout of a physical establishment and receive a first input indicating an object is located at a first geographic location within the physical establishment. The system may receive a recommended location corresponding to a second geographic location within the physical establishment and present the indication of the recommended location for the object on the user interface indicating the first layout. The system may receive image data associated with the physical establishment and determine based at least in part on analyzing the image data that the object is located at the second geographic location within the physical establishment. The system may further display a second layout of the physical establishment, where the second layout includes an indication of the object at the second geographic location within the physical establishment.

Abstract: A method for handoff includes: scanning an ephemeral token displayed on a guest device, where a guest has previously registered a payment instrument with a server, and associated the payment instrument with a plurality of ephemeral tokens, and the server has stored a payment token that associates the plurality of ephemeral tokens with the payment instrument in a database record along with a notification identifier, and where the guest device has received the ephemeral token; transmitting the ephemeral token to the server; simultaneously displaying details for a transaction, where the server has accessed the notification identifier to transmit a push notification to the guest device, and where the guest device is executing a proprietary application that allows for simultaneously displaying details for the transaction; and receiving notification from the server that the transaction is complete, where transaction completion data was entered via the guest device and transmitted to the server.

Abstract: Load cells are used in a fixture of a facility to acquire weight data. However, some of the load cells used in the fixture may fail. One way to test a subset of load cells is to compare data from a first subset of load cells to a second subset of load cells using a linear regression. For example, the linear regression may help determine predicted values for the first subset of load cells. Actual values from the first subset of load cells are then compared to the predicted values. If the differences between the actual values and predicted values for the first subset of load cells are greater than a threshold, a determination is made that the first subset of load cells has failed. Weight data from the second subset of load cells may then be used to determine hypotheses for describing interactions at the fixture.

Abstract: Described are a system, method, and computer program product for processing a transaction as a push payment transaction. The method may include receiving, with a payment gateway processor, a transaction request from a merchant system. The transaction request may include transaction data associated with a payment device of a user, the payment device being associated with an issuer system. The method may also include generating, with the payment gateway processor, an authentication request based on the transaction data. The method may further include communicating, with the payment gateway processor, the authentication request to the issuer system. The method may further include, in response to the issuer system authenticating the authentication request, generating a push payment request including an account identifier associated with the merchant system, and communicating the push payment request to the issuer system.

Activities, such as an item pick, performed by one of those individuals is associated with the group and if there is a fee or charge associated with the activity it is applied to the associated account.

The hosted applications are contained within one or more isolated environments or run without isolated environments. The system may include usage billing based on one or more of resources open, amount of data flowing through resources, number of open files, number of transactions, number of concurrent users, number of processes, CPU utilization and memory usage, The system may further include a management interface where administrators may add, remove and configure isolated environments, configure client policies and credentials, and force upgrades. If using isolated environments, the isolated environments may be isolated from other applications and the host operating system on the clients and applications within the isolated environments may run without performing an application-installation on the client.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a distributed numeric sequence generation system and method are described. In particular, some embodiments provide high-scale, high-availability, low-cost and low-maintenance numeric sequence generation in a non-Relational Database Management System (“non-RBMS”) system by sacrificing monotonicity. The distributed numeric sequence generation system comprises a plurality of hosts, wherein individual hosts implement a cache for caching a plurality of numeric sequences. A host can access master numeric sequence data at a separate system to obtain values for numeric sequences to store in its cache. A host can receive a request from a client for values of a numeric sequence, and provide to the client the values for the numeric sequence from its cache. Some embodiments of the distributed numeric sequence generation system and method are also equipped to vend recyclable and bounded numeric sequences.

Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program product for generating a unified digital check register are provided. An example method includes receiving, by input/output circuitry, check data and determining, by check evaluation circuitry, whether the received check data corresponds to a digital check or a physical check. In response to determining that the received check data corresponds to a digital check, the method includes generating digital check data based on the received check data. In response to determining that the received check data corresponds to a physical check the method includes generating physical check data based on the received check data. The method further includes inserting, by registry management circuitry, any generated digital check data with any generated physical check data into a unified check dataset, and curating, by the registry management circuitry, a unified digital check register using the unified check dataset.

Abstract: A point of sale application may initially process a transaction between a customer and a merchant. While the point of sale application processes the transaction, an add-on application may monitor a current state of a user interface of the point of sale application. Upon recognizing a triggering event associated with the current state of the user interface, the add-on application may take over the processing of the transaction from the point of sale application. Upon completion of the processing of the transaction, the add-on application may return a result of the transaction to the point of sale application by emulating user actions on the user interface of the point of sale application.

Abstract: A group of inventions relates to artificial neural networks and their application for computer vision, in particular for the surveillance camera data processing systems and methods to automatically detect cashier fraud by verifying images using artificial neural networks. To detect cashier fraud, a POS system includes a barcode reader, memory, an image capture device, and a data processing module. The data processing module is configured to receive the data about the scanned product from the product database and to receive the video data from the image capture device.

Abstract: A method of processing orders and payments in a location-based food-service venue such as a restaurant, stadium or arena. Each customer location has a physical identity target attached in proximity thereto comprising a unique system-wide identifier readable by customer mobile devices. Targets might be visually readable, using QR codes or the like, or might be a short range radio beacon broadcasting the identifier (NFC, RFID etc.)—they do not contain human-readable location indication information. The identifiers associated with the targets do not contain location- or venue-specific information, and are recorded in relation to location records corresponding to individual customer locations in the venue in a order database held on a server.
