  • Patent number: 11038719
Abstract: Channel estimation performance depends on the amount of averaging performed by a channel impulse response coherent filter. For half-duplex UEs, which use a single phase locked loop (PLL) for both downlink transmissions and uplink transmissions, averaging may not be performed across downlink subframes before and after uplink subframes if the PLL's phase changes and locks to a random initial value when switching transmission directions. Techniques disclosed herein facilitate estimating the PLL's random initial phase and enable correcting the phase of symbols accordingly. By correcting the phase of the symbols, it is possible to average across symbols before and after a frequency re-tune and/or a transmission direction switch based on the phase correction. This may serve to improve the accuracy of channel estimation.

  • Patent number: 11025377
Abstract: A fixed wireless access system is implemented using orthogonal time frequency space multiplexing (OTFS). Data transmissions to/from different devices share transmission resources using—delay Doppler multiplexing, time-frequency multiplexing, multiplexing at stream and/or layer level, and angular multiplexing. Time-frequency multiplexing is achieved by dividing the time-frequency plan into subgrids, with the subsampled time frequency grid being used to carry the OTFS data. Antenna implementations include a hemispherical antenna with multiple antenna elements arranged in an array to achieve multiplexing.

  • Patent number: 11018795
Abstract: The disclosed techniques allow for transmitting a signal stream from a sender to a receiver in an environment including multiple senders and receivers. The technique for the sender decomposes a data stream from the sender into multiple substreams, encodes a substream by a codeword, further superimposes multiple codewords to form a signal stream in an asynchronous manner, and transmits the signal stream to the receiver. A codeword can span over multiple blocks. The receiver receives a first codeword stream from a first sender, receives a second codeword stream from a second sender, the two codeword streams may be received at the same time as one signal, and decodes the first codeword stream and second codeword stream over a sliding window of multiple blocks.

  • Patent number: 10992584
Abstract: A method and device for processing a packet are provided in this disclosure. According to an example of the method, an HTTPS packet is received from a user host, and a non-online user session entry matching the HTTPs packet is searched for according to a source IP address and a destination IP address of the HTTPS packet. In case that the non-online user session entry is found, a token is obtained from a first token bucket if determining that a user session corresponding to the non-online user session entry has no token, where the number of tokens in the first token bucket is set based on processing capability of a CPU of the access gateway device. When the token is successfully obtained, the HTTPS packet is sent to the CPU for processing. When the token has failed to be obtained, the HTTPS packet is abandoned.
