Therefore, under the condition that the AC power line between the camera unit and the control recording unit is physically connected, transfer of the information signals is possible and the same operation as in the period when the AC power is supplied is possible even when the AC power is not supplied.

The ISP subscribers may also be mapped to other segment types, such as demographic segments derived from off-line data about the subscribers. The subscriber-to-segment mappings are made available to content targeting entities via a query interface that, for example, supports queries of the form “what are the segments associated with IP address X?”.

When merging or splitting peer-groups, the group label is usually modified. But it may be advantageous to keep the group label. If a new peer-group in a peer-to-peer network is created by merging or splitting of peer-groups, a method for selecting a group label for the new peer-group comprises determining a negotiation peer, exchanging information between the negotiation peers in the case of merging, comparing features of the two peer-groups and assigning the label of one of the peer-groups to the new peer-group.

Generating a baseline includes determining a mapping function, which transforms data in a cluster to become normal or nearly normal. A mean and standard deviation of the transformed data are calculated. Envelopes are determined using the mean and the standard deviation. An inverse transformation function is uniquely derived.

In addition, when the service provider queue is full, the service provider service time is recalculated as a function of the serializer service time and of the time required to process requests by the service provider.
