Abstract: A meeting host or moderator can control communications among participants in virtual breakout rooms without requiring the host to join a breakout room as a participant. The host can run conferencing software to instantiate a meeting room and breakout rooms associated with the meeting room. The host can control communications in the breakout rooms, such as by transmitting and/or receiving content through one or more channels established by the conferencing software. The host can transmit and/or receive content such as a real time audio stream, a transcription of the audio stream, a screen or window being shared, chat messages, and the like, without joining the breakout room.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods discussed herein enable the provisioning of one or more virtual resources within a cloud-computing environment based at least in part on user-defined constraints. By way of example, a request to provision one or more virtual resources within the cloud-computing environment may be received. The request may include a set of user-defined constraints. Placement data indicating a mapping of a particular virtual resource to a particular hardware resource may be obtained based at least in part on the set of user-defined constraints. The virtual resource(s) may be provisioned within the cloud-computing environment in accordance with the set of user-defined constraints based at least in part on utilization of the placement data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described in which the control of virtual activities is cooperatively shared among two or more interactive users. Within selected virtual actions, an initiation component is identified that, when enacted, automatically informs one or more shared-experience users of the intent by the initiator to complete the virtual action and triggers monitoring of the shared-experience users for indications signaling agreement to proceed. When the degree of agreement meets a predetermined threshold or is judged by the initiator to be adequate, the completion component of the virtual actions is enacted on all devices. Automatic incorporation of initiation and completion components during shared activities may allow for cooperative control of virtual activities without repeated and potentially monotonous questions and responses regarding when to proceed.

Abstract: Techniques and structures to prevent exhaustion of a database connection pool, including receiving a plurality of events from a plurality of application servers operating as a database connection pool, categorizing each of the plurality of events, including generating a categorization message for each of the plurality events, wherein each categorization message includes one or more fields having contextual information to identify an event type to which an event is associated, analyzing the categorization messages to generate an event record; and generating a report based on the event record including one or more performance measurements to indicate an effectiveness of management of the database connection pool.

Abstract: Provided is a method of providing a user-customized user experience (UX)/user interface (UI) during a runtime of a web application by using a room template, the method including: transmitting, from a user device to a service server, a room entrance-related access request; requesting, by the service server, an application programming interface (API) server to generate an access token including room template information; transmitting the access token generated by the API server to the user device via the service server; transmitting, by the user device, the access token to the API server; and providing, by the API server, a UX/UI to the user device based on the room template information.

Abstract: A transcript of a conference (e.g., a video conference, an audio conference, or a telephone call with two or more participants) is processed to extract a conference summary. A graphical user interface is presented that enables a user to edit highlighting to select portions of a conference recording for inclusion in the conference summary. The user can edit highlighting on strings of a transcript and/or on a playback slide bar and the highlighting edits are propagated to both of these interfaces. Video clips selected for inclusion in a summary based on timestamps of strings in a transcript may be extended forward in time to incorporate a nearest I-frame of video. The short video or audio summary may be presented to users along with a text summary of the conference to enable efficient storage and transmission of information from the conference within a unified communications system.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a selection of a subgroup of participants from a group of potential focus group participants, placing each participant in the subgroup of participants in a waiting room environment, establishing a respective testing video conference between each participant in the subgroup of participants and the second user and confirming, based on the respective testing video conference, a respective technical ability to carry out a video conference. The method includes establishing the video conference comprising each respective confirmed participant and the second user, receiving respective data as part of the focus group from each respective confirmed participant and presenting live data associated with the video conference of the focus group to the first user at a user device. The method and associated network server enable a quick way to establish a focus group and then carry out a focus group on a topic of interest.

Abstract: Various example embodiments for supporting device telemetry control are presented. Various example embodiments may provide a customer of a device, which is monitoring the device based on device telemetry whereby the device exposes device data of the device based on device telemetry control information of the device such that the data of the device may be accessed by the customer, with control over device telemetry of the device. Various example embodiments may provide a customer, which may access device data of a device based on device telemetry supported by the device, with additional control over access to the device data of the device via device telemetry by providing the customer with control over the device telemetry including enabling the customer to insert customer device telemetry control information into the device telemetry control information of the device that controls device telemetry on the device.

Abstract: An apparatus for determining individual consumption for a plurality of users through computer network monitoring. The apparatus comprises a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to receive data from one or more smart devices associated with a first user and a second user through data streaming between the one or more smart devices and a server. The processor is further configured to determine that a first home associated with the first user and a second home associated with a second user are located within a distance threshold from each other based, at least in part, on geolocation information. The processor is further configured to determine that the first user and the second user are comparable peers. The processor is further configured to determine that an individual consumption of one of the comparable peers is greater than an average total consumption and to transmit an alert.

Abstract: Management of web conference assets in a content management system. At the conclusion of a web conferencing session, an event is raised at the content management system. Various web conference assets (e.g., recordings) and web conference parameters are analyzed in conjunction with content management system metadata. Based on the analysis, one or more actions to perform on the web conference assets are determined. The content management system metadata may include user profile information of at least one web conference participant. Rules and/or a classification model that considers then-current conditions at the content management system are used singly, or in combination, to determine action characteristics and/or labels such as a retention period or security classifications to apply to the web conference assets. The web conference assets are stored in a hierarchical directory at the content management system. The hierarchy of the directory is derived from aspects of the web conferencing facility.

Abstract: A technology for assessing client experience in incident management can be implemented. The technology can fetch an event log entry from a first database comprising a plurality of event log entries generated by a client, wherein the event log entry is associated with a timestamp, an event descriptor, and a prescribed target time to close the event log entry. The technology can extract a communication message sent by the client from the event descriptor, determine a polarity score based on sentiment analysis of the communication message, determine a client experience index (CEI) based on the polarity score, save the CEI in an event record in a second database, determine an aggregated CEI based on an average of a plurality of CEIs determined for the corresponding plurality of event log entries, and output the aggregated CEI.

Abstract: A flexible approach to segmenting a resource (e.g., a media resource, such as a media segment, or other resource, such as a resource normally fetched or pushed using general file transfer protocols like HTTP) into a plurality of fragments. By employing such an approach, the delay until the resource can be utilized at the client side is reduced. Certain embodiments are provided which apply the flexible segmentation approach to ISOBMFF media segments for video streaming, such as would be used with Live DASH streaming.

Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to filtering stream chat messages. In some aspects, a process of the disclosed technology can include operations for receiving messages from a plurality of user accounts, detecting a section trigger indicating one or more filtering attributes, and filtering messages based on the filtering attribute. In some aspects, the process can further include operations for creating a section, adding one or more users to it and generating a section level, where the section level and messages associated with it are displayed to the added users. Abstract: A virtual delivery appliance may include a memory and a processor configured to cooperate with the memory to connect client computing devices with virtual computing sessions provided by a host computing device(s) based upon respective connection leases each including an ordered list of virtual delivery appliances, with at least some of the client computing devices having different ordered lists of virtual delivery appliances. Each client computing device may be configured to request a new session from the virtual delivery appliances in the ordered list in descending order until receiving a connection with a new virtual computing session. The processor may be further configured to re-direct new session requests received from the client computing devices to lower virtual delivery appliances in the ordered list when existing virtual computing sessions for the client computing devices are already active with the host computing device(s) associated with the lower virtual delivery appliances.

Abstract: Enhancements described support transparent remote execution of development tool extensions. Compute-intensive extensions may be executed on an extension machine external to a developer machine which runs a user interface renderer of the development tool. User interface extensions may run locally. Instead of sharing a filesystem, the renderer on the developer machine and an extension host and extension(s) on the extension machine may access distinct respective machine filesystems. Instead of spawning debug extension and other extension-support processes locally, the renderer may instruct the extension host or an extension host agent to spawn the processes remotely on the extension machine. Existing extensions and newly created extensions are binary-compatible with single-machine or multi-machine development tool deployments.

Abstract: Examples pertain to a system and method for enabling users to participate on a network conferencing session. In some examples, a first user device, using a network interface, can establish an independent network connection with a remote computer system that hosts a network conferencing session. In addition, the first user device, using a local wireless connection, can communicate with at least a second user device that is independently connected to the remote computer system. During the conferencing session, the first user device, using the local wireless connection, can direct a first audio input received on the first user device to the second user device for forwarding to the remote computer system, while maintaining the independent network connection with the remote computer system.

Abstract: Technologies for synchronizing content items across cloud systems are provided. An example method can include receiving, by a first content management system (CMS), authentication information associated with a second CMS; based on the authentication information, establishing a communication channel between the first CMS and second CMS; using the communication channel, providing a user interface identifying collections of content items stored on the second CMS; receiving, by the first CMS, a request to create a first collection of content items based on a second collection of content items selected by a user account from the user interface, the second collection being stored on the second CMS; creating, by the first CMS, the first collection in association with the user account; populating the first collection with placeholders corresponding to content items in the second collection; and upon detecting a change to the second collection, updating the first collection to reflect the change.

Abstract: A video conference apparatus includes a relay unit that is configured to transmit video image data acquired at a site of a first conference system to a second terminal provided in a second conference system and transmit video image data of the second conference system to a first terminal provided in the first conference system. The relay unit is configured to transmit only a combined video image of video images at respective sites of the first conference system to the second terminal as first video image data, and transmit a video image sent from the second terminal to the first terminal as second video image data.
