Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a lacrosse head and a method of manufacture to form the same. A lacrosse head may include a scoop, a throat, and a pair of opposed sidewalls configured to interconnect the scoop to the throat, each sidewall having an interior edge and an exterior edge. The lacrosse head may further include a hub connected to the throat, the hub including a socket configured to receive a stick. Additionally, at least one of the scoop, throat, pair of opposed sidewalls, and hub comprise a matrix material embedded with a plurality of substantially randomly dispersed reinforcing fibers. A method of forming a lacrosse head may include forming a mold assembly having a positive side and a negative side, mixing a composite matrix material by feeding chopped reinforcing fibers randomly into a resinous material, setting the matrix material into the mold assembly, and closing the mold assembly.

Abstract: A card shuffler and dealing module shuffles eight decks of cards (or less) and delivers Baccarat hands (or other games) to a dealer. Cards are randomly selected from two pre-shuffle bins and delivered to a connected or integral dealing module. The card shuffler initially selects and delivers four cards (the minimum number needed for a hand of Baccarat) to a dealing area of the dealing module. Two additional cards (the maximum number of additional cards needed for a hand of Baccarat) are then selected and delivered to the dealing module rear of the four initial cards. Accordingly, up to six cards are available to be dealt during the Baccarat hand. The smart card shuffler tracks the rank of the cards and discerns the future outcome of the Baccarat game and adjusts the cards made available to the dealer via an automatic dealing module cover and card transport mechanism.

Abstract: A game ball locating system includes a ball with in internal MEMS module that communicates with transceivers positioned about the periphery of a playing field. A wireless radio frequency barrier is positioned below the playing field boundary, i.e., the sidelines and goal lines. The MEMS module includes a gyrometer and accelerometer that determine when the base ceases motion. The MEMS further measures signal strength emanating from the radio frequency barrier to determine when the ball crosses the playing field boundary. In either event, a controlling computer activates the transceivers, which transmit a signal to the MEMS module and the computer calculates the exact position of the ball.

Abstract: The American football/rugby stadium multimedia goalpost is an apparatus that enables scoring in American football, herein referred to as football, or rugby. The apparatus is configured to leverage space around the goalpost for displaying advertising promotions and game information. The apparatus includes a goalpost frame, a multimedia bar system, and at least one main computing device. The goalpost frame allows for scoring during football and rugby games. The goalpost frame includes a crossbar, a first upright post, a second upright post, and at least one elevating support. Combined, the first upright post, second upright post, and crossbar define a scoring plane. The at least one main computing device relates to a series of interconnected computers or processors responsible for accepting electrical inputs and converting those inputs into appropriate electrical outputs for use across the apparatus. This configuration allows the apparatus to present advertising and event information to event viewers.

The arrow can include a compensator coupled to a shaft of the arrow and the compensator has diameter that is larger than a diameter of the shaft of the arrow. A thickness of the compensator, which is measured as the difference in the diameter of the compensator and the diameter of the shaft of the arrow, is configured to enable a user to aim the arrow with a bow that has been sighted for a standard arrow.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in roping skills training and practice provides a practical, effective, lightweight, and economical alternative to using live animals for heeling practice, which involves the roping of the hind legs of the animal. This apparatus includes a simulated animal torso and a pair of simulated hind legs. The apparatus includes a support frame and a drive system. The drive system includes mechanical links that provide interconnection between the pair of simulated hind legs and the drive system, thus providing for lifelike and coordinated leg and torso movement.

Abstract: A wearable assist device and receiving tube for providing grip assist to a wearer of limited hand and grip ability during manipulation of an elongated article. The device includes an attachable body having each of thumb, hand and wrist strap portions adapted to being secured to a hand of the user. The receiving tube engages to the body in manner which prevents the tube from sliding or rotating relative to the body. The elongated article includes and not limited to any of a golf club or fishing rod and is adapted to being resistively engaged within the tube in a manner which compensates for the limitations in the user's hand and grip ability during a motion induced manipulation of the article.

The two upright posts and the rear crossbar delineate a U-shape and the multimedia bar system is mounted to said U-shape. The multimedia bar system includes a plurality of lights, a plurality of first speakers, a plurality of sponsor display panels, a retractably screen assembly, and a retractably underground projector in order to audible and visually convey content regarding the soccer game and advertisements to the audience. The system also includes a first corner camera, a second corner camera, and a multitude of rangefinder laser-detector video cameras to track, record, and present gameplay live.
