  • Patent number: 9112736
Abstract: Transfer efficiency of data transfer in a single semiconductor device or between semiconductor devices is improved. A table is created by associating a combination of attribute information involved in data transfer with an identifier. When attribute information registered in the table is received, the attribute information is replaced with an identifier so that the information is compressed and transferred. Accordingly, transfer efficiency is increased in transmission or reception of a request and a response.

  • Patent number: 9088499
Abstract: According to an example, a routing generation method and apparatus is applied in Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE). Based on the additions to the TLV, which may be carried in the Hello packet and the LSP packet, the Hello packet of the ISIS protocol may be used to implement neighbor discovery of the FC protocol, and the LSP synchronization of the ISIS protocol may be used to implement the link information synchronization of the FC protocol. Thus, the FC routing may be generated without the FSPF. Therefore, FCoE may be implemented with a lower cost.

  • Patent number: 9083616
Abstract: To reduce or prevent effect of deterioration of communication quality caused from packet loss in a packet communication, a plurality of Packet Assembly Disassembly devices (PDAs) are installed at a first terminal equipment and at a second terminal equipment, and a packet communication is performed using one PDA in such plurality of PDAs. If the packet loss of received data in such packet communication is detected exceeding the predetermined value, a request is sent using another PDA to the first terminal equipment for transmitting the same data that above-stated one PDA is handling and the data transmitted at the request is received. On reception of the data at the request, sizes of the packet loss rate of received data with above-stated one PDA and of the packet loss rate of received data with above-stated another PDA are compared and the packet communication is continued selecting a system of which packet loss rate is smaller.

  • Patent number: 9030940
Abstract: An entity in a telecommunications network determines a threshold value relating to a channel switching parameter that is being used by the telecommunications network to trigger a channel switching operation, and uses this threshold value and monitored traffic information to prevent a channel change from occurring, i.e. to maintain channel occupancy. A network node is adapted to remove additional traffic that has been generated by an entity in the telecommunications network to maintain channel occupancy.

  • Patent number: 9031017
Abstract: Methods of power control for LTE transmissions in unlicensed bands are described. One method includes determining, at a first device (such as a LTE UE or LTE eNB), a scheduled transmission window for a LTE transmission in an unlicensed band. The transmission window indicates a time for sending the transmission in the unlicensed band. Prior to the scheduled transmission window, the method also includes determining whether a WiFi transmitter is transmitting a signal in the unlicensed band. The method also includes, in response to determining that the transmitter is transmitting in the unlicensed band, determining an adjusted transmission power for the transmission and sending the transmission (such as from an LTE UE to an LTE eNB or from an LTE eNB to an LTE UE) in the transmission window at the adjusted transmission power. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

  • Patent number: 8976671
Abstract: A TCP node stores a congestion window size before congestion is detected, the congestion window size limiting the amount of data to be transmitted. If congestion is detected, the TCP node reduces a current congestion window size to a predetermined size. If path switching subsequently occurs after congestion is detected, the TCP node uses a round-trip time or bandwidth information of a path after switching to correct the congestion window size before congestion detection. The TCP node then changes the reduced congestion window size to the corrected size.

  • Patent number: 8971270
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for paging a group of MTC devices, and for transmitting parameter information to the MTC devices using the paging mechanism. MTC devices are grouped together and a different group ID per group to which the MTC device belongs is assigned to the MTC device. A specific group paging resource indication is determined for each group wherein each MTC device is assigned one of the group paging resource indications. The network pages MTC devices of a group by transmitting a paging message at the corresponding channel resources and including the corresponding group ID. Additionally, the group paging resource indications of several groups of MTC devices can be aligned in such a way with the transmissions and re-transmissions by the network, that the different groups respectively receive the transmission and re-transmissions of the paging message.

  • Patent number: 8964622
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a method for minor modifications to the Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) channel access mechanism in order to enable a greater number of concurrent communications in a unit area in compliance with the current protocol design. The method comprises equipping nodes with wider neighborhood information than what is obtained with IEEE 802.11, and with a device calibration that equips the device with the knowledge of its performance in the presence of interference. The present disclosure medium access mechanism increases the aggregate throughput with every additional concurrent communication that is enabled in the shared medium. Cocktail Party-capable devices can fairly coexist with 802.11 legacy DCF devices, and co-operate with these devices in the same network without changes to those devices or to the standard. The same or similar mechanisms can be applied to other systems and standards in order to enable concurrent communications in the same contention area.

  • Patent number: 8929398
Abstract: A method of powerline communications including a first node and at least a second node on a PLC channel in a PLC network. The first node sends a physical layer (PHY) data frame on the PLC channel including a preamble, PHY header, a MAC header and a MAC payload. The PHY header includes a destination address field having a destination address therein. The second node receives the data frame. The second node compares its network address to the destination address before decoding the MAC header and MAC payload, providing power savings by allowing the second node to not decode the MAC header or MAC payload if its network address does not match the destination address in the PHY header of the data frame.

  • Patent number: 8923300
Abstract: A connection for the fast analysis of packet headers by a circuit connected directly to the data bus, which transfers the packets. This circuit contains sub-circuits for the protocols headers analysis. Furthermore, the circuit contains a counter, which informs the sub-circuits about the data bus status. Each of the sub-circuits is equipped with the data input from the data bus, the input of the counter, the activating input, which determines the presence of the given protocol header in the packet, and with the input of the position of the header start in the packet. Further, each of the sub-circuits is equipped with a set of activating outputs, which determine the type of the next protocol header, and with the output of the position of the next header start. All sub-circuits, using the auxiliary logic circuits and multiplexers, are connected in the structure, which corresponds to the number and structure of the anticipated protocols in the packet.
