    Abstract: A door lock device includes a striker secured to a vehicle body and a latch plate installed on a vehicle door. The striker has a base portion fixed on the vehicle body, first and second leg portions extending from the base portion, a bridge portion extending between and interconnecting the first and second leg portions, and a projection portion which extends from the bridge portion and extends on the outboard side of the first leg portion. The latch member has first and second engaging portions defining therebetween a recess portion in which the first leg portion of the striker is receivable. The first engaging portion is arranged to overlap the projection portion and the second engaging portion is arranged to overlap the bridge portion.

    Abstract: A door guard for preventing a child from opening a refrigerator door while not reducing adult access to the refrigerator comprising an elongated rigid bar having flanges at each end, the bar being sized in length to fit between the back wall of the refrigerator and the front wall of the door of the refrigerator in the locked position. The bar is mounted on top of the refrigerator and prevents access from a small child while still allowing an adult to quickly raise the bar in order to open the refrigerator door. The device prevents a child from inadvertently leaving the refrigerator door open for long, unattended periods which could cause damage to the refrigerator compressor motor while also preventing a child from having access to the interior of the refrigerator.

    Abstract: A locking member for use in a fuel tank assembly of the type having a pressurizable tank with an aperture and having a plurality of retaining lugs transversely extending along the periphery of the tank aperture. A seal element is disposed between the tank and the fuel sender assembly in an annular groove or other seal arrangement provided in the external tank surface intermediate the aperture and the retaining lugs. The locking member comprises a locking ring having an aperture through which a portion of the fuel sender assembly extends, the locking ring having a generally planar lower surface in a mating contact with an upper surface of the plate-like shoulder of the fuel sender assembly and having a plurality of tabs corresponding to the plurality of retaining lugs.

The assembly includes a spring-loaded latch and lockable latch lever in the upper segment and a corresponding cam latch release in the lower segment.     Abstract: A floor-mounted door lock which includes in a first preferred embodiment, a floor anchor mounted to the floor near a door threshold in the path of swing of a door and having an upward-standing anchor flange. An anchor wedge is fitted with a bottom slot for removably receiving the anchor flange and obstructing the opening swing of the door. In an alternative preferred embodiment, the floor anchor is provided with a flange opening and the anchor wedge has a downwardly-extending wedge flange for registration with the flange opening and mounting the anchor wedge in position to block opening of the door. In a third preferred embodiment for application to raised thresholds, a flat threshold plate is fitted with an engaging flange on one end for engaging the threshold outside of the door and an upward-standing anchor flange or slot located at the opposite end for interlocking with an anchor wedge to locate the anchor wedge in a position to block the opening swing of the door.

    Abstract: A locking device for a drum for chemical- and hazardous-waste containment is described. The locking devices are of drums, usually 30- or 55-gallon sizes, of the closed-end type having a head with two openings or bung holes therethrough. Each drum opening has a flanged or internal portion with interior threads. The locking device has three basic elements, namely, a pair of caps and a slip wrench/locking bar. In one embodiment, one of the caps includes an overpressure relief valve and an flame arrester. Each cap has a threaded base and a larger apertured cylindrical portion mounted thereon. Each cap has a closure gasket mounted at the shoulder formed between the base and the apertured cylinder which gasket permits partial rotation without unsealing the drum. The cylindrical portion of the outer wall has at least two pairs of elongated apertures with 180-degree spacing between the apertures of each pair.

The cross-member is one which is connectible to the top end of the anchor with the connector, the cross-member having a length which is greater than the largest dimension of the opening in the bottom of the container. The cross-member may be of sufficient length to be grasped manually when connected to the connector for facilitating insertion of the anchor into ground, and the container may be a trunk with a top lid. A first leaf frame is intended for more frequent opening and closing, and a second leaf frame is intended for less opening and closing.
