Abstract: A writing instrument is disclosed having a display flag attached to an internal pen holder such that the flag may be displayed either by pulling it laterally through any elongated opening in an external pen holder, or by axially extending the internal pen holder from the external pen holder. A positioning block attached to the internal pen holder limits the relatively axial sliding movement between the internal and external pen holders to prevent the user from completely pulling the internal pen holder from the external pen holder. The writing instrument may also be placed in a base such that the flag may be displayed while the base rests on a desk, table, or the like.
Abstract: A pen holder with puzzle blocks comprises a plurality of rotatable blocks on a holder stem with all lateral faces providing a groove respectively, a plurality of sliding pieces with different colors, numbers, or figures on the upper faces. The plurality of sliding pieces are fitted with the plurality of rotatable blocks on the grooves at all lateral faces and one of the grooves is left as a vacancy. During operation, the plurality of rotatable blocks are turned, respectively, and the vacancy is filled with an adjacent sliding piece. The process is continued until the four lateral sides of the pen holder are each aligned with one distinguishable color, number or figure.
Abstract: A manually operated appliance for the treatment of textile floor coverings with a foaming cleaning liquid, comprising a shaft-like handle with a bristled cleaning element attached thereto, a container for cleaning liquid replaceably mounted on the handle by means of a holding element, and a hose for connecting the container and cleaning element which is operatively connected to a dosing mechanism regulating the outflow of cleaning liquid from the container. The hose has a grooved internal profile and the cleaning element is a hollow brush having an inlet nozzle on its top surface for the hose level with a socket for fixing the handle. Outlet holes face the floor between rows of bristles arranged at the outer edges of the hollow brush, and a distributor plate covers the brush surface.
Abstract: A cartridge for storing pencil leads and dispensing such leads into the lead storage chamber of a pencil has an assembly slidably mounted therein which has a dispensing spout on one end thereof. Pencil leads are contained within the cartridge and prevented from being released therefrom by a gate member formed on the slidable assembly. When the slidable assembly is actuated to effect slidable motion thereof relative to the main body of the cartridge, the gate member is driven out of the path between the leads and the dispensing spout, permitting the leads to be dispensed into the chamber of the pencil.
Abstract: A rolling ball writer having a writing component carrier that slides within the barrel of the instrument in a manner similar to a ball point pen cartridge and utilizes a compression button and latching system at one end which extends and secures, respectively, the writing tip in an exposed position at the end of the barrel opposite said button, and which also has a release button incorporated on its clip which, when pressed, releases said latching system and allows an internal spring to bias said writing tip to a retracted position.
Abstract: An apparatus including a forward ramp member spaced from a rear ramp member, with a medial support member positioned therebetween, and a first and second platform plate member secured between the medial support and the forward and rear ramp members, wherein the medial support includes a piston mounted within the support in a retracted first position and directed exteriorly thereof to impact medially of the platform members in a second position to effect a disassembly of the bridge structure and associated side rails mounted upon the forward and rear ramp members and the platform plate members.
Abstract: A mechanical pencil having an automatic lead extending mechanism which has a radially displaceable member disposed on an entire circumference of the pencil body. The lead protrudes from a tip end of the pencil body when the radially displaceable member is radially displaced.
Abstract: A cartridge-type fountain pen is formed at its rear end with a reserve compartment for receiving a reserve ink cartridge or a liquid applicator reservoir whose applicator is designed to project through an opening end of the rear end of the barrel. A second cap can be pressed on this rear end and has a rear cap member spring biased into engagement with the reservoir and whose position is visible through a window in an outer cap member of this second cap so that the user can ascertain whether or not the liquid applicator is in place within the reserve compartment.
Abstract: This invention relates to a heavy duty commercial lawn edger apparatus utilized to achieve a new and novel contoured edge cut between adjacent portions of a grass area and a concrete or curb area. The lawn edger apparatus includes a main support base assembly directed by a main handle and control assembly and having a main power assembly mounted thereon. The main power assembly is connectable through a belt and pulley drive assembly to selectively drive a main edging and cleaner assembly. The main edging and cleaner assembly includes a heavy duty blade assembly; a main brush assembly mounted adjacent the main blade assembly for surface cleansing purposes; and an adaptor cutter assembly releasably connected to the main blade assembly to achieve unique shapes in the contoured edge cut. The main blade assembly includes a thick main blade member having spaced cut out sections to achieve a novel cutting feature of this invention.
Abstract: A ring includes rotatably-mounted and removable ornamental elements. The base of the ring includes a pair of ears for supporting a spindle. The spindle, formed of threadedly cooperative elements is readily disassembled to permit selective removal and reorganization of the ornamental elements.
Abstract: The invention relates to a roof gutter cleaning device which enables a person to clean the roof gutter from a ground level. The cleaning apparatus has a stabilizing roller and a supporting roller. The supporting roller rolls along the bottom of the roof gutter, while the stabilizing roller rolls along the lip gutter, stabilizing movement of the cleaning apparatus. An elongated hollow handle delivers water or a treatment liquid to a spray nozzle which sprays the water or the treatment liquid in the gutter, further facilitating cleaning of the gutter.
Abstract: A balloon structure is comprised of two heat-sealingly connected polymeric sheets forming a gas encompassing chamber and a connected inflation stem and is characterized by a separable integral tether-defining border strip surrounding at least a portion of the chamber, whereby the tether may be separated from the body of the balloon at all but an anchor point to provide a means for restraining the balloon. Optionally, the tether defining strip portions of the sheets may themselves be heat-sealingly connected, selectively to provide a double width tether or a tubular inflatable tether.
Abstract: An implement for applying a liquid comprises a container having an opening at its front end, a front tube attached to the container forward end, a hollow accommodating member having a chamber in its interior and formed with a rearward communication hole and a forward communication hole for holding the chamber in communication with the interior of the container and the interior of the front tube respectively, a liquid feed member accommodated in the chamber and movable axially thereof, a biased end valve disposed inside the front tube providing a liquid retaining portion inside the front tube around the end valve for closing the forward end opening of the front tube, and an applicator having a capillary action extending through the forward end opening of the front tube and secured to the front end of the end valve.
Abstract: A three piece pen is provided including a short elongated cap having a first open internally threaded end, an elongated pen holder of a length greater than the cap and including a pen point at one end and a hollow elongated tubular barrel having a first open, internally threaded end is provided. The second end of the cap includes structure for anchoring a keyring thereto, the second end of the barrel is closed and the second end of the pen holder remote from the point includes a circumferentially extending enlarged abutment spaced from the terminal end thereof.
Abstract: A ridge tillage attachment includes springs associated with a linkage which guides a tool and wheel support beam for vertical movement, the springs being mounted within the linkage envelop to provide a compact arrangement and being operative to apply required forces to to a tool and wheels carried by the beam, while facilitating disassembly of the attachment when desired. The attachment also includes a structure which securely connects wheel axles to the support beam with a clamping action while being adjustable to provide a large range of relative positional values.
