The chemical dispensing assembly also has a keyed connector system that prevents the connection of the wrong concentrate container to the wrong injector assembly.

    Abstract: A one-piece dispensing closure for a pouch-like container includes an integrally formed closure body, dispensing neck, hinged cap, a tamper-evident closure system and a latch for maintaining the cap in an open position. The closure body includes a “canoe”-shaped skirt portion which is heat sealed to a film-like pouch and a neck portion having a dispensing orifice for dispensing a product from the pouch. A cap is connected to the closure body by a living hinge to allow the user to selectively open and close the container. The dispensing closure further includes a tamper-evident tear strip that is integrally formed with the cap body, and detachable from the cap body. A ledge formed on the inner surface of the tear strip engages an interfitting locking tab formed on the outer surface of the closure body to prevent opening of the cap without removing the tear strip.

    Abstract: A water dispenser is proposed of which a raw water container is mounted upside down at the lower portion of a housing. The water dispenser has a piercing member which serves both as one end of a water supply line and one end of an air intake line. With this arrangement, when the raw water container is opened, the interior of the raw water container is simultaneously connected to the water supply line and the air intake line. Raw water containers can be easily exchanged. The raw water container is made of a soft material, so that air can be freely sucked into the raw water container through the air intake line while a pump is activated. This allows the pump to lift water with a minimum force.

    Abstract: A water dispenser includes a raw water container which can be slid into and out of a loading space, while being placed on a slide table. The slide table has a container holder adapted to restrain the peripheral side wall of the raw water container. The minimum height and the shape of the container holder are determined such that when the peripheral side wall of the raw water container is collapsed, the raw water container is never pulled up by the container holder as a result of the peripheral side wall getting caught on the container holder, and such that when the raw water container becomes empty, the raw water container is received within the container holder. This prevents portions of the peripheral side wall from protruding into spaces behind front distal ends of side plates defining the loading space.

    Abstract: A water dispenser includes a baffle which interferes with the downward flow of water introduced into a cold water tank through a water supply line. The baffle has a water transfer passage formed by a downwardly recessed surface portion formed on the top surface of the baffle and having a distal edge, and an edge portion having a predetermined thickness and located over the distal edge so as to overlap the distal edge. The water transfer passage is configured such that the recessed surface portion deflects the flow of water flowing down through the water transfer passage in a horizontal direction or a direction close to a horizontal direction. Water is thus discharged from the terminal end opening defined by the distal edge and the edge portion into the lower portion of the cold water tank in a direction close to a horizontal direction.

A fluid exchange structure has a stopper, a head portion, and a fluid exchange valve with a first condition where fluid inlet and exhaust pathways in the fluid exchange structure are simultaneously closed and a second condition where the fluid inlet and exhaust pathways are simultaneously opened by conduit joining portions in the fluid exchange valve. A chamber retains a volume of preservative gas and is connected to the fluid inlet pathway externally to the vessel. The preservative gas can be supplied from the chamber into the vessel through the fluid inlet pathway as liquid is exhausted through the fluid exhaust pathway. The chamber can be replenished from preservative gas displaced from the vessel in a reverse volumetric displacement process or from preservative gas supplied by a preservative gas production canister.

The flow control assembly may include a multiplicity of paired mechanically adjustable flow control elements and dispensing controllers. The flow control assembly may be controlled by a touch-sensitive control panel and a computer. The touch-sensitive control panel may be adapted to receive user flavor selections, and the computer may control the dispensing controllers responsive to user touches of the control panel and manipulation of the handle.
