  • Patent number: 8870035
Abstract: A dispensing device having a housing capable of receiving a pre-packaged charge of pre-whipped topping or icing. The housing has an inner wall with a slot formed therein for receiving a rack that is capable of rotational and translational motion within the slot. The rack has a set of gear teeth that engage with a catch on a plunger. The piston moves in the axial direction to force the pre-whipped topping or icing through the outlet in its packaging. The catch on the piston is locked in one direction and pivots in the opposite direction such that the rack engages with the piston when it moves in a first direction and the rack disengages with the piston when it is moved in a second direction opposite the first direction.

  • Patent number: 8844581
Abstract: The number of sub-parts of a closed structure part and the number of steps for manufacturing the closed structure part can be reduced and, therefore, the closed structure part can be efficiently manufactured. In a hemming press step, a punch is further lowered, and a pair of flange portions is inserted into a slit clearance. Hemming prongs are bent and each of the hemming prongs sandwiches the flange portion. The flange portion, which is one of the two flange portions, is joined to the other flange portion. At the same time, a pair of press forming surfaces of the punch presses a metal plate and performs press-forming on a pair of shoulder portions of a blank into a predetermined shape. The flange portion can be fixed to the other flange portion using the hemming prongs. The pair of shoulder portions of the blank can be press-formed into the predetermined shape.

  • Patent number: 8794488
Abstract: A container (1) with a portion dispensing device for dispensing portions of a product from the container. The container has a main reservoir (2) for storage of product. The portion dispensing device comprises a variable volume product chamber (30) and associated restoring means. The variable volume product chamber (30) has a product outlet and an outlet valve (45). The product chamber also has a product inlet in communication with the main reservoir (2) and an inlet valve. The variable volume product chamber (30) has a volume that is reduced upon increased pressurization of product in the main reservoir (2) of the container (1), and that is increased, at when the increased pressurization of product in the main reservoir (2) of the container (1) is removed. The inlet valve (60) closes the product inlet upon increase of pressurization of the product in the main reservoir (2) so that product passes from the chamber via the product outlet.

  • Patent number: 8740015
Abstract: A dispenser incorporates, or can receive, a containment portion holding a quantity of dispensable material (e.g., a pesticide). The dispenser has an indicator and a sensor, which can sense a level of light in an environment immediately surrounding the dispenser. The dispenser is formed such that when it is in use it can be set to dispense the dispensable material in response to the sensor sensing a predetermined level of light. The dispenser is formed such that once it is activated to dispense the dispensable material it cannot be deactivated until the dispensable material has been dispensed in accordance with settings of the dispenser, and when the dispensable material has been dispensed in accordance with the settings the indicator indicates that this has occurred.

  • Patent number: 8708200
Abstract: A disposable pump for liquid dispensing includes a chamber in which pressure may be varied for pumping liquid from a compressible container to the chamber to a dispensing opening. The chamber encloses an inner valve that regulates liquid flow between the container and the chamber, and an outer valve regulates flow of liquid between the chamber and the dispensing opening. The pump has a closed position where liquid is drawn from the container to the chamber by negative pressure in the chamber. To dispense, a volume of liquid is drawn from the chamber to the dispensing opening. The inner valve is a one-way valve openable to flow liquid in the dispensing direction when inner valve opening pressure acts in the dispensing direction, and closes for pressure acting in the opposite direction. The outer two-way valve opens to flow liquid in the dispensing or opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 8672192
Abstract: A push-type nozzle assembly includes a main tube, a valve, a suction unit and a push unit. The suction unit includes a push rod, a connection rod, a block and a seal sleeve. A spring is mounted between the seal sleeve and the push rod. The spring provides a force to move the block and the connection rod back and forth between the closed position and an open position. Because the spring is located outside of the push rod, the spring does directly contact the liquid which is avoided from being chemically changed.
