  • Patent number: 7523528
Abstract: A universal cradle apparatus having a pair of substantially rigid jaw structures each configured with a flange structure having a substantially planar mounting surface adapted for being secured to respective cooperating male and female portions of a spring-return clamping mechanism formed of telescoping male linear drive shaft and mating female linear drive channel. One of the two jaw structures is configured with an inclined interior clamping surface that is projected above the respective flange structure and in resiliently flexible relationship therewith. The jaw structures are mounted on the respective drive shaft and drive channel each having its respective interior clamping surface facing toward the clamping surface of the other jaw. A spring is coupled for biasing the male drive shaft into the mating female drive channel of the clamping mechanism, thereby driving the two jaw structures together along a linear drive axis of the clamping mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7513019
Abstract: Fastening mechanisms are disclosed for engaging and disengaging device components while maintaining electrical connections among engaged components. A male fastening mechanism may include a front male head portion with a larger circumference than a relatively narrower lower male body portion. A female fastening mechanism may include an opening in a housing structure for receiving the front male head portion. A clip or spring may be arranged in the female housing surrounding portions of the opening. Moreover, the spring's terminating portions may be unconnected and protrude into the opening. The spring may be displaced to accommodate the front male head portion as it enters the female housing opening between the spring's terminating portions. The spring may retract or snap back inwards towards the relatively narrower lower male body portion as it passes through the opening and past the spring's terminating portions to engage the mechanisms and secure device components together.

  • Patent number: 7513020
Abstract: A child resistant buckle has two separate operations that are completed to permit the buckle to be disengaged. The buckle is provided as two interfitting components, which can be joined in at least two orientations while permitting the two operation disengagement to be maintained. The two operations may be sequentially or concurrent and can require a certain degree of force to permit actuation. The buckle composed of a plug and socket is oriented on a seat so that the plug is presented on a right hand side of a child and the socket is presented on a left hand side so that the clasped buckle is more difficult for the seated child to disengage.

  • Patent number: 7506608
Abstract: A hinge mechanism that generates a stress at the start and end points of arbitrary opening and closing range can be constructed by causing one cam set of two cam sets in which a rotating cam and a fixed cam engage only once in 360° rotation to generate a stress at the start point of the rotating range or opening and closing range of the hinge mechanism, and causing the other cam set to generate a stress at the end point of the rotating or opening and closing range. The hinge mechanism of the present invention achieves durability, good feeling, and size and weight reduction.

  • Patent number: 7496992
Abstract: The present disclosure relates a leakproof or leak-resistant zipper with profiles which include an inter-engaging element with inter-engaging fingers and a leakproof or leak-resistant structure. The slider, when moved in the closing direction, urges the fingers of one profile to inter-engage with the fingers of the other profile and further urges the elements of the leakproof or leak-resistant structure into engagement with each other. The slider, when moved in the opening direction, separates the inter-engaging fingers of the inter-engaging elements and further allows the elements of the leakproof or leak-resistant structure to separate.

  • Patent number: 7490385
Abstract: A position-adjustable base for furniture hinges comprises a base body superposed on a fastening plate. The base body in turn comprises means designed for fitting of a hinge wing and has a pair of opposite side flanges. Each flange has a slot for sliding fastening which is elongated in the adjusting direction of the base, and the fastening plate has a corresponding through hole appearing in the area under the slot to be passed through together with the latter by a screw for fastening of the base to the piece of furniture and to enable sliding of the base body on the fastening plate in said adjusting direction with the screw head bearing on side edges of the corresponding slot. The holes in the fastening plate are surrounded by a raised collar entering the slot and constituting a rest for the head of the corresponding screw when the screw is tightened. Thus a pre-established sliding-resisting force can be obtained, irrespective of the tightening force of the screws.

  • Patent number: 7487575
Abstract: This invention provides a system and method for attaching a trim cover to a flexible/resilient substrate, typically constructed from foam, which includes a plurality of clips that each has a base molded into the substrate. The bases each include a central “key-hole” slot that receives a corresponding key formed on a stem at a bottom of a clip projection. The clip projection defines a cavity for receiving a trim cover bead through a gap formed between a pair of legs that extend from the bottom. The stem has a length that is approximately the thickness of the slot. By passing the key through the slot and rotating the key to a locked position, the clip projection may be removably mounted to the substrate for repair or replacement as needed. The base may be constructed from a material that adheres effectively to the substrate, while the clip projection may be constructed from a material that exhibits high elasticity and wear-resistance.

  • Patent number: 7478460
Abstract: A fastener element with a sheet-form base and an array of wedge-shaped engageable elements molded integrally with a surface of the sheet-form base. The wedge-shaped elements each have a steep side and a gradually rising side, and are arranged with their steep sides all directed in a common sense, such that the array can engage a similar array of oppositely-directed wedge-shaped elements to resist shear motion. The distal edges of the wedges are curved in top view.

  • Patent number: 7475455
Abstract: This invention relates to a fiber-made surface fastener comprising joining faces each in which a plurality of fiber-made engaging elements are provided on one surface of each flat base fabric. By specifying a structure and composition yarns of the base fabric of the same surface fastener, the ratio (A/B) of an area A of a range in which sound spectrum of a peeling-off sound Fourier-transformed in a range of 100 Hz to 15000 Hz is 100 Hz to 3000 Hz to an area B of a range in which sound spectrum of a peeling-off sound Fourier-transformed in a range of 100 Hz to 15000 Hz is 3000 Hz to 15000 Hz is 0.4 or more. Consequently, tone of a sound generated when the surface fastener is peeled off and when the surface fastener attached on a product is peeled off is shifted to a low tone side so as to reduce an uncomfortable sound to a lower tone thereby reducing a feeling of discomfort.
