Abstract: A bib holder is provided that is useful for securing a bib in place. In one embodiment, the bib holder includes a strap and at least one fastener that is useful for retaining the bib, in addition to at least one compartment that is capable of storing an item of suitable size and weight. The compartment can be attached to the strap, or be a part of the fastener. In various embodiments, at least a portion of the surface of the compartment is reflective. Additionally, the compartment of the bib holder can optionally include indicia thereon. In certain embodiments of the invention, moreover, the compartment includes a plurality of sub-compartments.

Abstract: The specification discloses a picture display device comprising a pair of transparent plates interconnected and supported for viewing by a single integral fastener. The fastener is able to integrally engage a variety of optional embellishing elements to be chosen and added by the end user. The frame is of knockdown construction.

Abstract: A flexible reclosable container including profiles which are locked and unlocked by a slider. One embodiment of the slider has a pair of feet which extend from one end of the slider to the other end and which resist pulling of the slider off of the profiles. Another embodiment of the slider has three spaced pairs of feet which resist removal of the slider from the profiles. The slider in one embodiment has an enlarged central portion which facilitates grasping the slider and is easy to manufacture by die casting.

Abstract: A fastener for a lace includes a fastening body and a pull unit. The fastening body includes a base, and at least one clamp assembly having a substantially U-shaped member which have two pivoting ends pivotally connected to the base to define an opening with the base, and a clamp member which is attached slidably to the U-shaped member and which extends across the opening to divide the opening into a first aperture proximate to the base and a second aperture distal from the base. The U-shaped member has a U-bend cooperating with the clamp member to confine the second aperture. The clamp member is slidable along the U-shaped member between a clamping position and a releasing position. The pull unit is connected to the U-shaped member.

Abstract: A base member for swivel caster comprises a fixed base, a rotation base and a hollow staff. The fixed base includes a ring member, and a plurality of first raceways lathed in an inward surface of the ring member. A support cavity is defined through a center of the rotation base. Assembling holes are defined in a connecting portion and communicate with the support cavity and the second raceways. During assembly, a plurality of rolling balls are extended through the assembling holes and loaded into the first raceways and the second raceways. Then a plurality of biasing balls is loaded into the assembling holes. The staff is inserted into the support cavity and blocks the assembling holes. The rolling balls contact the biasing balls instead of fixed components whereby the rolling balls swivel and rotate smoothly.

Abstract: A device is for fastening emergency equipment to a ship's deck or to a structure on a ship's deck. The device includes a first and a second fastening facility for, respectively, a first external and a second external fastening device having, respectively, a first and a second tensile strength. The device further includes a third fastening facility for a third external fastening device having a third tensile strength. When the device is in operation, the second and the third fastening facility are mutually connected both by a connecting device incorporated in the device and by the first external fastening device. The connecting device incorporated in the device absorbs load between the second and the third fastening facility if the first external fastening device stops working.

Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a hollow housing (100), a shaft (300), an urging mechanism (400), a cam (500), and a cylindrical follower (700). The housing includes an open end, and a hole (104) in an opposite second end. A peripheral wall of the housing at the open end defines a pair of pinholes (112). The shaft 300 includes a fixing portion. The urging mechanism is received in the housing and located around the shaft. The cam defines a cam hole (506) therethrough, and includes a cam portion (502) received in the housing. One end of the cam portion has a cam surface (508). The cam hole engagingly receives the shaft, so that the cam rotates with the shaft. The opposite end of the urging mechanism biases the cam. The follower is retained in the pinholes. The follower rotates relative to the shaft and is movably engaged with the cam surface.

Abstract: A cargo tightener and strap collector is shown having a rotatable shaft provided on the lever portion of the cargo tightener and strap collector. A slot is provided in the shaft so that the free end of a strap may be inserted in the slot and wound on the shaft to secure the strap and prevent its fluttering in the wind or trailing on the ground while in use.

Abstract: A slider for a slide fastener having a cover member capable of rotating between a first position at which a pull tag is concealed in an immobile state and a second position at which the pull tag is exposed, wherein engaging/disengaging means for engaging with/disengaging from each other when the cover member is located at the first position is provided at a portion on first end portions side apart from respective rotating portions of second end portions, the second end portion having the rotating portions in which the pull tag and the cover member are coupled so as to be able to rotate relatively, thereby providing the slider a simple structure and costing low, being capable of achieving a pull tag holding performance stable and excellent over a long period and preventing deflections between respective components.

The slide hinge has a linear slide between the first and second casings, and a turning mechanism for a turning operation of the casings. The slide has a first guide groove provided on an undersurface of the second casing, a guide pin engaged with the first groove and attached to an upper surface of the first casing. The turning mechanism has a rotary hinge on an upper surface of one side of the first casing, a turning member rotatably attached to the rotary hinge in a horizontal direction, and a second pin attached to a free end of the turning member and engaged with a second groove provided on the undersurface of the second casing in cross direction of the first guide groove.

The straddling slider is adapted to close or open the fastener by movement therealong. The slider comprises a transverse support member, first and second legs, first and second separating fingers, and first and second wings. The first and second legs depend from the respective first and second opposing sides of the support member. The first and second separating fingers extend from an interior surface of the support member. The first separating finger is adapted to open the first and second profiles. The first and second wings have respective first and second openings for receiving the respective first and second legs. The first and second wings are hingedly attached to the support member, and latches on each wing engage a respective one of the legs.

Abstract: A slider for assembly over first and second extending and reclosable portions associated with a resealable bag, each of the reclosable portions includes an opposing and biasingly mating profile extending along upper edges of the bag. The slider includes a main body exhibiting a central portion and first and second hingedly attached and foldable wings. The central portion exhibits a splitter element, the foldable wings defining therebetween a resealing element. A substantially “U” shaped and assembleable cap portion is engageable upon the main body and upon the body being pre-positioned relative to the extending reclosable portions such that the splitter element separates a first location of the reclosable portions. The wings further fold downwardly against opposite sides of the bag such that the resealing elements define therebetween a narrowed passage for rejoining a second location of the reclosable portions.

Abstract: A theft deterrent device adapted to be connected to an item of merchandise to discourage shoplifting includes a flexible lanyard. In one embodiment, the first end of the lanyard is removably anchored to the holder with the second end of the lanyard being lockable to the holder. The lanyard may thus be replaced if severed by a shoplifter so that the holder may be reused. The invention also provides a lanyard having first and second ends with a latch that holds that ends together so that the ends may be inserted as a unit into the holder before being locked to the holder.

Abstract: Device for fixing a watchband to a watch container includes a hinge connected to the watch container with two pivots sliding therein and a fixing element fixed to or integrated into the end of the watchband provided with two brackets defining a space therebetween for arranging the hinge. Each bracket has an axial recess protruding in the space between the brackets. The axial recess is extended in a direction of the external side faces of the brackets through an orifice containing an end stone mounted such that it is slidable in the recess and exposed to the action of a second return spring which pushes a press button fixed to the external ends of the end stone towards outside. The hinge is provided on the side faces thereof with an annular chamber having a slot which defines a privileged direction.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to restraint systems for cargo on cargo transporting vehicles, such as trucks, having designated cargo-carrying space. In particularly, the present invention relates to a system for restraining cargo in the bed of a truck, such as a pick-up truck, or the like; or the interior load-carrying compartment of a van or station wagon. The restraint system contains clamp having two opposing members that are attached a pivot point to form a pair of jaws at one end and a topside at the opposing end. The topside is attached to a rotatable device that is rotated to close or open the jaws depending on the direction of rotation. The rotatable device closes the jaws by urging the topside of the opposing members apart to pivotably close the jaws.

Abstract: A clip includes an insertion member whose cross-sectional shape is in a T-shape, having a head portion and a shaft portion connected downwardly from the head portion; a latch member in a V-shape disposed on an outer side of the shaft portion; and a hinge member connecting the shaft portion and the latch member. Split flanges, mated in a flange-shape by surrounding the shaft portion when both side leg portions are closed, are provided to be continued from upper end portions of the both side leg portions. One side of an abutting surface of each split flange protrudes to form an L-shape in a plan view and abuts against a corresponding side portion of the shaft portion. A retaining protruding piece extending from a side portion opposite to a protruding portion and engaging with corresponding side portion of the shaft portion is formed on each both side leg portions.

Abstract: A buckle safety device formed for use with a seat belt assembly. The seat belt assembly includes a tongue and a buckle. The buckle safety device includes a housing having a cutout and a buckle receiving opening. The cutout and the buckle receiving opening communicate with a cavity inside the housing. The cutout is configured for receiving an elongated object for releasing the tongue from the buckle when the tongue is mated therewith. A base receiving member extends from the housing. The base receiving member is arranged proximate the buckle receiving opening and has a base receiving slot extending therethrough.

Abstract: A slider for zip fasteners with two tabs, includes a hollow body in which are positioned members designed in such a way that, when either one of the two tabs is pulled, this causes the disengagement of a pawl from the teeth of a fastener, overcoming the resistance of elastic elements which keep the pawl inserted between the teeth. In the slider, the members include a fork provided with two prongs positioned on opposite sides of the plane of the teeth and pivoted at a point of the slider in such a way that it can rotate in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the teeth when a force is exerted on at least one of its prongs by the tab connected to it by its ring.
