The dialing flag including a simultaneous or sequential ringing flag indicating that the plurality of phone number groups are to be dialed in the simultaneous or sequential ringing mode. The calling party can freely custom multiple phone numbers expected to be rung simultaneously or sequentially and transmit them to a calling server, without registering in the calling server in advance. Thus, the trouble of the user registering the numbers in the calling server may be avoided and the calling server does not need to maintain a large-scale database for storing the multiple numbers at a large cost.

    Abstract: A macro eNB (MeNB) triggers a small cell (eLA eNB) to transmit a sequence on a second frequency band using a triggering command that indicates a time to transmit the sequence. On a first frequency band the MeNB triggers at least one user equipment UE to detect the sequence on the second band, and this trigger also has a first indication of when the sequence will be transmitted. From a second indication the MeNB receives on the first band from the at least one UE in response to the triggering of the UE the MeNB can determine whether the UE is located proximate to the small cell. The indication may be as little as a single bit indicating whether the UE detected or not the sequence. The first and second bands may be on first and second component carriers that may not be synchronized to one another, and the aperiodic nature of the triggered sequences and detection reports saves UE power.

Endpoint devices targeted for changes to stored firmware are grouped and the firmware is delivered in chunks to each group. As devices receive a particular chunk of firmware, the device advances to a next stage and provides information indicative of this stage, based upon which subsequent chunks of firmware are communicated. This occurs (e.g., on a daily cycle) until the endpoint has received all firmware for an update, after which the endpoint(s) are re-started using the firmware. Accordingly, such updates can be carried out in a cyclic and verifiable manner.
