Abstract: Systems (100) and methods (300) for efficient video analysis. The methods involve: automatically identifying features of at least one feature class which are contained in a first video stream; simultaneously generating a plurality of first video chips (904) using first video data defining the first video stream; displaying an array comprising the first video chips within a graphical user interface window; and concurrently playing the first video chips. Each of the first video chips comprises a segment of the first video stream which includes at least one identified feature.

Abstract: Context based menus are employed for content management through touch or gesture actions, keyboard entries, mouse or pen actions, and similar input. Different actions and combinations of actions enable users to activate sub-menus, execute commands, or collapse context based menus. Gestures associated with the actions are determined through action analysis. The action analysis includes tap action hit target region analysis and swipe action direction, angle, and/or length analysis.

Abstract: A graphical user interface is displayed. The graphical user interface includes at least one communication control for managing communications with other network nodes and at least one browser control for navigating to different network resource addresses. Human perceptible realtime output is generated from realtime communication data relating to a realtime communication session with at least one other client network node. In the process of generating of at least some of the human perceptible realtime output, operation of the client network node is managed based on at least one performance target. In the graphical user interface, a graphical representation of a network resource identified in connection with the browser control is displayed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for facilitating web-based interaction with a local system are disclosed. Such systems, methods, and computer program products provide an approach that allows a web client within in a web browser environment to access local hardware and local software—via a web server contained in the local system—in a local computer system. In response to a user input, the web client directs local hardware and local software to perform actions (e.g., writing files and taking pictures). Information related to such actions is returned to the web client via the local web server. The local computer system may be remotely located from the web client and such returned information may be stored and/or executed at a remote site (e.g., cloud database). Security layers may be provided to authenticate the user as well as user permissions for accessing the local computer system.

Abstract: A display unit enables content to be displayed in a human readable form. The display unit displays a portion of the content to be displayed wherein some of the content to be displayed is non-viewable on the display unit. The display unit, in response to a user-originating directional content moving action, determines a location within the portion of the content being displayed the determined location corresponding to a directional characteristic of the user-originating directional content moving action. The display unit causes a visual indicia to be displayed at the determined location within the portion of the content being displayed, the visual indicia providing a user orientation marker for the portion of the content being displayed. The display unit causes the visual indicia to visually move in a direction corresponding to the directional movement of the content.

Abstract: A control panel image generation unit generates a control panel image displayed to control an application. An application execution unit executes the application based on user control information input while the control panel image is being displayed. An information image generation unit generates an information image including information related to the application. An image switching unit switches an image displayed on a display from the control panel image to the information image. The information image generation unit uses image data stored in a storage device and generates the information image including a thumbnail image corresponding to the control panel image.

Abstract: Dynamic configuration of cross-environment applications enhances the computing experience in a computing environment with an extended active user environment and/or multiple active user environments. A mobile computing device maintains multiple active device configurations associated with multiple active user environments and/or application windows within active user environments. Device configuration qualifiers are determined from a variety of sources including device characteristics, device indicators, user settings, and/or application presentation. The mobile computing device selects active resource sets for applications based on the device configuration qualifiers. Application presentation is dynamically updated by disestablishing an application screen and establishing a new active application screen using a different resource set. The mobile computing device may be a smartphone running the Android mobile operating system and a full desktop Linux distribution on a modified Android kernel.

Abstract: A mobile terminal includes an image-obtaining unit configured to obtain an image including a screen displayed by a display device; a display unit configured to display the obtained image to a user; a user input unit configured to receive touch information on the display unit from the user; and a transmission unit configured to transmit screen display information about how the screen is displayed on the display unit and the touch information to a broadcast receiving terminal connected to the display device, wherein the touch information includes selection information of a first point on the display unit and movement direction information of the first point when the first point moves.

Abstract: A method for enabling logout from websites includes creating at least one meta-data tag for a web page, where said at least one meta-data tag comprises a logout universal resource locator for the web page; reading the at least one meta-data tag for each web application that a user is logged into; recording the logout universal resource locator in a database; and displaying a name of each web application and the corresponding logout universal resource locator in a graphical user interface.

Abstract: A computer (host), which is communicating with an interactive whiteboard projector (client) through a remote desktop connection, launches third-party applications supporting multiple mice (i.e. drawing pens) and provides these applications with virtual mouse device and input event signals for each pen device connected on the projector. The applications will behave as if the host system were configured with multiple installed mice, though no added driver or physical connected hardware is present.

Abstract: Method and systems to display posting volumes. An activity package data item containing data items for each of at least one data feed source is received on a device. The device has a user interface that is changeably configurable between one of a locked mode and an unlocked mode, where the locked mode has reduced user input capability. A representation of the posting characterizations is displayed in response to receiving the activity package data item when the user interface is configured into the locked mode.

Abstract: A method and system for uniquely identifying indicia of traits of a participant in an event adapted for use in a boxing match. A plurality of predetermined characteristic corresponding to the traits of a participant to be identified is assigned. Each predetermined characteristic has a predefined format. The assigned characteristic is stored and displayed in a plurality of predefined display format allowing for identification of traits so as to facilitate interpretation and prediction of trends.

Abstract: A disk drive array including a controller which provides scatter/scatter (bi-directional scatter/gather) operations between noncontiguous host memory address locations and noncontiguous disk address locations. The host provides a single request to launch a scatter/scatter transfer. The single data request includes a pointer to a list of transfer counts and addresses, the length of the list, and the starting logical address on the disk transfer. Skipped blocks in a scatter/scatter request are specified by data address value of -1, and a no-operation (no-op) request is enqueued for each skipped block. Thus, during reads the controller extends the scattered read from the disk into a single large read of contiguous sectors and suppresses the unwanted data by inserting "no-operation" commands in place of the read commands during the transfer to the host.

Abstract: An external clock unit for use with a DEC 6000 series computer for increasing the clock cycle time includes an oscillator for generating a clock signal which is faster than the clock signal produced by the oscillator in the CPU module in the computer, a line driver for driving the clock signal outputted by the oscillator in the clock unit, a manually operable switch for outputting a control signal and a power supply for providing power to the various components in the clock. In use, the external clock unit is connected to the clock distribution chip in the CPU module in the computer using pins normally used only for test purposes during fabrication. When the switch is turned on, the clock from the oscillator in the computer CPU module is disabled and the clock signal from the clock which is received by the clock distribution chip is used as the clock signal for the computer.

Abstract: The elements of a transform processing circuit are switchable to change the order of data in a data stream and/or to perform a fast Fourier transform (FFT) or inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) on the data stream. Each arithmetic circuit element performs an M-point butterfly operation on complex sample points and includes an adder/subtractor and a serial memory capable of storing M/2 sample points. Each multiplication unit performs an n-point complex twiddle factor operation on its input. The conjugator units conjugate inputted sample points. All circuit elements are connected to buses by switches. These connections are switchable so that in one switch state data input at left terminal flows to right terminal and in another state data input at right terminal flows to left terminal. The state of the bus switches also determines whether the circuit performs a FFT, an IFFT, or a bit reversal operation on input data.
