  • Patent number: 11151661
Abstract: A plurality of potential feed objects and corresponding identifications of actors who performed a user interface action that caused a corresponding potential feed object to be generated are obtained. The plurality of potential feed objects and corresponding actor identifications are then fed into a machine learned feed object ranking model, with the machine learned feed object ranking model having been trained via a machine learning algorithm to calculate a score for each of the potential feed objects. The score is based on a combination of a likelihood that the user will perform an interaction, via the user interface, on the potential feed object, likelihood that the user's interaction will cause one or more downstream events by other users, and likelihood that a response from a viewer will cause the actor corresponding to the potential feed object to perform an additional user interface action to generate another potential feed object.

  • Patent number: 11017355
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for determining gaps in a user's resume regarding skills or titles for a job, and recommending educational courses to the user based on those gaps. The user's resume is received and analyzed for the user's current set of skills. Various searching methods are used to identify a set of job requisitions based on a user's input query for a job. The user's skills are compared with a set of required skills associated with the set of job requisitions. Educational courses are identified for the skills that are required for the set of job requisitions but are not present in the user's set of skills. The educational courses presented to the user via the search engine. The user's resume can also be ranked relative to other resumes for the skills or titles required for a job.

  • Patent number: 11017333
Abstract: Embodiments pertain generally to a method for providing subscription services in view of virtual machines. The method includes determining that a user is enrolled for a continuous availability service and determining, in view of the continuous availability service, that the service provider is to instantiate a virtual machine for the user to continue execution of operations executed on a client machine. The method further includes causing the virtual machine to be instantiated in view of the continuous availability service and causing the instantiated virtual machine to be configured to restore a state of the client machine that corresponds to a previous update of the client machine. The previous update may correspond to client activity data of the client machine.

  • Patent number: 10984332
Abstract: A mechanism for facilitating customer interactions within a customer service environment provides prompt and accurate answers to customer questions. A smart chat facility for use in a customer service environment to predict a customer problem examines a customer chat transcript to identify customer statements that set forth a customer issue and, responsive to this, can route the customer to an agent, an appropriate FAQ, or can implement a problem specific widget in the customer UI. Customer queries are matched with most correct responses and accumulated knowledge is used to predict a best response to future customer queries. The iterative system thus learns from each customer interaction and can adapt to customer responses over time to improve the accuracy of problem prediction.

  • Patent number: 10977662
Abstract: Systems and methods for simulating behavior of agents in a virtual environment are described. Observed customer behavior data for a retail space may be received. A model for customer behavior in the retail space is generated, the model including probabilities for customer responses to a plurality of stimuli. A virtual customer agent is built based on the model for customer behavior. A virtual retail space is built and modified, the modified virtual retail space including at least one different design feature from the virtual retail space. In the modified virtual retail space, the virtual customer agent is simulated performing a predetermined list of tasks based on the probabilities for the customer responses. Simulated customer behavior data, including responses of the virtual customer agent to the modified virtual retail space, may be generated based on the simulation.
