Abstract: UV curable coatings containing dual phase filler-polymer compositions with high resistivity, low dielectric constant, good optical density, and controlled electrical resistivity are described, and cured coatings or films formed thereof, along with their use in black matrix, black column spacers, and other light shielding coating elements in LCD. Devices having these black matrices, black column spacers, and/or other light shielding coating elements, and methods of preparing and making these various materials and products are also described.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for polymerization of hydrocarbons. In accordance with the process of the present disclosure, a hydrocarbon and a photo-initiator is introduced in a reaction vessel and then agitated for a predetermined time period. In the next step, the reaction vessel containing the agitating hydrocarbon and the photo-initiator is irradiated with visible light to obtain a polymerized hydrocarbon. The process of present disclosure is carried out in an atmosphere containing oxygen less than 0.65% in the reaction vessel.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for making cross-linked oxidation-resistant polymeric materials and preventing or minimizing in vivo elution of antioxidant from the antioxidant-containing polymeric materials. The invention also provides methods of doping polymeric materials with a spatial control of cross-linking and antioxidant distribution, for example, vitamin E (?-Tocopherol), and methods for extraction/elution of antioxidants, for example, vitamin E (?-tocopherol), from surface regions of antioxidant-containing polymeric materials, and materials used therewith also are provided.

Abstract: A mill base composition includes a compound comprising a divinyl ester of a dicarboxylic acid, a dispersing agent, and a pigment. The divinyl ester of the carboxylic acid includes from 2 to about 8 carbon atoms. The mill base composition is subjected to milling with milling beads to produce a milled mill base composition that functions as a pigment concentrate that may be added to an ink vehicle to form an ink composition suitable for use in inkjet ink devices. The milled mill base composition is particularly suited for UV curable ink compositions. A UV curable ink composition includes the pigment concentrate, one or more UV curable monomers, and one or more UV initiators.

Abstract: A dental composite composition is disclosed that includes a polymerizable resin, filler particles, and at least one polymerizable stable radical.
