  • Patent number: 9602787
Abstract: The ceiling medallion projection system is a means of housing and concealing a ceiling mounted high definition video projection system. The assembly is typically located between a pendant light fixture and the ceiling. It can be oriented to project imagery on a selected wall of the room. It is intended to be less conspicuous than a standard ceiling mounted projection system or video screen and requires little to no additional in-wall electrical service as it takes advantage of the electrical service already provided to the light. It is controlled wirelessly and can be linked to a router and any number of electrical devices including computers, handheld tablets and smart phones. It has audio capability as well. The system hosts applications that can provide reminders, messages, schedules and any other visual and audible information to assist the user in terms of organization, special needs, communication or entertainment.

Abstract: An image recognition device capable of accurately recognizing an object by efficiently selecting a specific object area as a recognition target, from detected object areas. The image recognition device recognizes a specific object area from images sequentially input in time series. An object detection section detects object areas from each image. An appropriateness determination section determines whether or not each detected object area is appropriate as a recognition target. A recognition target-selecting section selects an object area for use as the recognition target, from the detected object areas, based on a result of determination by the appropriateness determination section. An image recognition device recognizes whether or not the object area selected by the recognition target-selecting section is the specific object area.

  • Patent number: 9544533
Abstract: Systems and apparatus may include converter device(s), a matrix switch, processor(s), and memory(s), where one or more of the converter devices provide video input signals to the matrix switch. A processor may determine if one of a plurality of video signals input to the matrix switch includes data representative of identification information overlain on a video image derived from one of the plurality of video signals. The determination may be based on a flag value stored in the converter device(s). The flag value may be retrieved by a server coupled to the matrix switch. If the information is included in the video signal, the video signal may be passed through a path in a matrix switch configured by the processor. If the information is not included in the video signal, the data representative of identification information may be retrieved from the converter device and then overlain on the video image.
