The calibration consists on the determination of the parameters of a suitable mapping function that assigns each pixel to the 3D direction of the corresponding incident light.

Multiple sequential interleaved images may then be created in real-time as the images from the video stream are received, and the sequence of interleaved images may then be presented immediately as a video stream on a display fitted with a lenticular lens to effectively display a 3D video to the user.
