  • Patent number: 11468399
Abstract: A system and method for enhancing digitally informed delivery of delivery items such as mail. The sender of a delivery item creates custom electronic text, files, images, web pages, or other electronic/digital resource(s) to provide to the recipient. A postage meter, a server of the delivery service, or the like creates a digital indicia that includes the digital resource, associating it with the delivery item. When the delivery item is processed by the delivery service equipment during transit, the digital indicia is read and the associated digital resource is are identified therefrom. The delivery service equipment transmits, to the delivery item recipient, an electronic notification indicating that the delivery item is en-route to the recipient, and also provides the associated digital resource. The recipient can then access the resource, e.g., the custom text, files, images or web pages associated with the delivery item.

  • Patent number: 11449962
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for identifying, in real time, a transportation arrangement between a requestor and a provider that could benefit from a re-matching of the requestor with another provider. A system may match a provider with a requestor to complete a request for transportation from the requestor. The system may monitor a progress of the provider to a pickup location as specified in the request. Based on the monitored progress, the system may determine if the provider is making sufficient progress towards the pickup location. In some examples, the system may determine that the matching of the provider with the requestor is eligible for cancellation because the provider is not making sufficient progress towards the pickup location. The system may cancel the matching and then match another provider with the requestor to continue to make progress towards completing the transportation request.

  • Patent number: 11270248
Abstract: Described are systems and processes for generating dynamic effort-based delivery value predictions for real-time delivery of perishable goods. In one aspect, a system is configured for generating dynamic delivery value predictions for delivery opportunities provided to couriers. For each order, delivery events and corresponding timestamps are received from devices operated by customers, restaurants, and couriers. Based on the timestamps, the system generates a predicted delivery duration with trained predictive models that use weighted factors such as order data and historical restaurant data. A service value for the delivery of the order is determined based the predicted delivery duration and a predetermined active time value. The service value is then transmitted along with the corresponding delivery opportunity to a user device of a courier. The determined service values may be adjusted based on courier acceptance rates of delivery opportunities and other factors such as customer experience.

  • Patent number: 11200756
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting parked vehicles and for collecting parking fees, wherein a transponder arranged in a vehicle repeatedly emits a detection signal which is received by at least three radio devices. On the basis of the detection signal, a position of the vehicle is calculated and an identifier of the transponder is determined, wherein it is detected whether the vehicle is in a parking space area and is parked. If the vehicle uses a parking space area for parking, an identifier of the transponder is transmitted to a registration server which determines a parking fee on the basis of a tariff for the parking space area which is used and, if necessary, initiates a payment process.

  • Patent number: 11200515
Abstract: Techniques for facilitating reservations between a first creative entity and a first venue. Digital audio data for a first creative entity is analyzed to determine acoustic attributes. A plurality of potential venues are determined. A machine learning model is used to calculate an estimated demand metric for the first creative entity for each of the plurality of potential venues, based on a venue profile for the respective venue and acoustic attributes for the first creative entity. Two or more venues are selected and a proposed itinerary is created. A digital order is generated based on the proposed itinerary. User profile data for the first creative entity is updated, upon successful completion of the digital order, and a digital transaction is generated to automatically charge a determined first amount to an account for the first venue and to transfer a determined second amount to an account for the first creative entity.
