Abstract: Modified graphical user interface (GUI) language learning includes establishing a user language learning profile, for a user, which indicates language learning preferences and user competency in understanding words of a target natural language, building and displaying, for the user, a modified GUI in which OS GUI elements of the modified GUI provide translated text in the target natural language, which is translated from the source natural language, and increasing, over a specified interval, and based on the user profile, a number of OS GUI elements of the initial GUI for which OS GUI elements of the modified GUI are built and displayed to provide translated text in the target natural language that is translated from text in the source natural language.

The degree of comprehensibility of the graphical representation of model is identified based at least in part on one or more visual characteristics of one or more elements in the model. The one or more elements in the model include at least one of entities in the model, or relationships in the model. The degree of comprehensibility assigned to the model is communicated, for example, to a user.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for auto-scrolling devices and methods. In one embodiment, an example method may include determining a content feed that includes first content and second content for presentation at a user device, and determining a first relevance value for the first content. Example methods may include determining that the first content is relevant to a user account associated with a user of the user device based at least in part on the first relevance value, determining a second relevance value for the second content, and determining that the second content is irrelevant based at least in part on the second relevance value. Example methods may include determining a first scroll speed to scroll through the content feed when the first content is presented by the user device, and determining a second scroll speed to scroll through the content feed when the second content is presented.

Abstract: A virtual touch recognition apparatus and a method of correcting a recognition error of the virtual touch recognition apparatus utilize a user's eye position and an image display position or projection position of a head-up display (HUD). The virtual touch recognition apparatus includes a gesture recognizer detecting the eye position of a user, the head-up display projecting an image on the image display position in front of the user, and a controller correcting a recognition error of a virtual touch based on the eye position of the user and the image display position. The apparatus and method can minimize a virtual touch recognition error occurring depending on the user's eye position and the image display position of the HUD when gesture control technology using the virtual touch is applied to a vehicle.

Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for providing user-interactive flow diagrams such as Sankey diagrams. In an embodiment, a machine data search and analysis system retrieves search results including a plurality of events in response to a search query, each of the events containing time-stamped data. The system identifies a plurality of nodes based on the time-stamped data of the events. Each of the events is indicative of a relationship between a starting node and an ending node. The system further causes display of an interactive flow diagram that includes the nodes and a plurality of flows. Each of the flows represents events that share a common relationship between a starting node and an ending node and visually connecting the starting node and the ending node.

Abstract: An advisor system creates an advisor panel to advise a user with regards to any number of topics, such as, e.g., a financial questions or concerns the user may have. The panel is composed of one or more advisor avatars that are generated based on one or more traits of the user. The avatars may include past, present and/or future versions of the user. Various devices are utilized to display the panel to the user and allow the user to engage the panel. The system may adapt the advice provided by the panel, the features of the avatars and/or the manner in which the avatars interact with the user and/or each other in response to trends noted by the advisor system as the system is used by the user as well as others.

Abstract: Embodiments generally relate to configuring an application for launching. In some embodiments, a method includes displaying on a display screen at least one application icon and a map. The method further includes receiving from a user a selection of the at least one application icon. The method further includes determining a placement region on the map to which the user can drag and drop the at least one application icon, wherein the determining of the placement region is based on a constraint condition. The method further includes indicating the placement region to the user as the user drags the at least one application icon onto the map. The method further includes enabling the user to drop the at least one application icon when the at least one application icon is over the placement region.

Abstract: Techniques and architectures for implementing a team of virtual assistants are described herein. The team may include multiple virtual assistants that are configured with different characteristics, such as different functionality, base language models, levels of training, visual appearances, personalities, and so on. The characteristics of the virtual assistants may be configured by trainers, end-users, and/or a virtual assistant service. The virtual assistants may be presented to end-users in conversation user interfaces to perform different tasks for the users in a conversational manner. The different virtual assistants may adapt to different contexts. The virtual assistants may additionally, or alternatively, interact with each other to carry out tasks for the users, which may be illustrated in conversation user interfaces.

In particular, instructions are provided for one or more truncated applications that may be stored in memory of the electronic device. Abstract: The present disclosure provides a buddy list presentation control method and system, and a computer storage medium. The method includes the following steps: acquiring user information, the user information including buddy grouping information; determining whether the acquired user information further includes theme cover information separately corresponding to each buddy group; and adding, if not, a corresponding theme cover to each buddy group separately according to a preset rule, and then, presenting a buddy grouping list obtained by adding the theme covers. According to the method, the system and the computer storage medium in embodiments of the present invention, recognition and operability of buddy grouping are improved, and an operation cost and operation difficulty are lowered.

The client device may further receive a deck including a set of packs, with each pack including a set of cards. As defined herein, a deck corresponds to a workflow (i.e., a series of webpages), while each pack includes context specific user-interface elements which make up a webpage. Further, a card may correspond to one or more elements of the webpage. The client device renders and displays webpages locally by selecting elements to be displayed on the webpage based on a details corresponding to a user of the client device. In other words, the client device creates webpages by selecting one or more cards for each pack of the deck based on details indicated in the profile.

Thereafter, the removal from the serving tray of one of the different human consumables is detected. In response, a theme of the thematic visual background changes and the thematic visual background re-renders in the headset with the changed theme. Finally, the method includes animating the movement of a display of a corresponding one of the different graphical representations of the removed one of the different human consumables in the headset.
