Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) is disclosed that allows user to quickly find and select (assign) specific items from a large data source that is housed in the cloud. The GUI includes a first and second grid that display unassigned and assigned items, respectively. Each of the first and second grids allows the user to filter each grid by typing in the search criteria and forwarding the criteria to the server. Items in each of the first and second grids may be moved between the two grids to quickly change the assigned state of moved items.

Embodiments determine a split ratio of lock screen based on the communication information between electronic devices, split the lock screen according to the determined split ratio of lock screen, and display the split screens. The screen splitting method includes: checking communication information corresponding to a contact selected by a user; determining a split ratio of lock screen based on the checked communication information; and displaying the lock screens split based on the split ratio of lock screen. In embodiments described herein, a repeatable object set can be generated. Such a repeatable object set can include one or more objects and a field format indicating a position of the object(s) within a field. The generated repeatable object set can be replicated as replicated object sets into a set of fields within a layout structure, wherein each of the replicated object sets includes a representation of the object(s) placed within a corresponding field in accordance with the field format indicating the position of the one or more objects. The replicated object sets within the set of fields the layout structure can then be presented.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for notifying a user of a change to a file stored in a cloud-based file-storage system. A first indication of a first change to the file by a first user is received from a remote server, where the file is associated with a second user and is stored by the remote server. Subscription preferences of the second user are received. A notification indicating the first change to the file is displayed on a mobile device associated with the second user if a category of the notification is allowed by the subscription preferences. The notification includes a graphical preview of the file, an identifier of the file, and an identity of the first user.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for creating and playing back live help routines for websites. During creation of a live help routine, the user performs actions on the website, and information about the user's actions and the website elements being interacted with are automatically stored. In addition, screenshots and HTML of the target website may be stored. The stored information about the website elements may include properties, attributes, and other identifying information regarding the target elements. Upon execution of the stored live help routine, the user viewing the live help routine is guided through the steps by highlighting on the live website the target element that the user need to interact with. The target element is found by matching all or part of the stored information about the website elements with the properties, attributes, and other information of the elements of the live website.

Abstract: A method executes at an electronic device with a display, concurrently displaying a chart that displays visual marks representing a set of data and a plurality of analytic icons. The method detects a first portion of an input on a first analytic icon, and in response displays one or more option icons that correspond to options for performing a first analytical operation that corresponds to the first analytic icon. The method also detects a second portion of the input on the first analytic icon and in response moves the first analytic icon over a respective option icon such that the first analytic icon is over the respective option icon immediately prior to ceasing to detect the input. In addition, the method adds one or more graphics to the chart that correspond to the first analytical operation and a respective option that corresponds to the respective option icon.

Abstract: A touch screen computing device with an easy to use user interface. The computing device provides on the touch screen a control area associated with a content viewing area. Touch inputs that initiate in the control area, even if they extend into the viewing area, are interpreted as commands that manipulate the display of content. Other touch inputs are interpreted as interactions with displayed content. The control area may be formatted to allow easy access by a user holding the computing device. Through such an interface the user may input commands specifying direct manipulation of the content, without frustration that can occur from the computing device incorrectly interpreting those commands as interaction with the content.

Abstract: A method for editing nested video sequences includes receiving a selection, by a user in a graphical user interface (GUI), of a video clip that corresponds to a nested video sequence of a parent video sequence. In response to the selection, each higher layer of the parent video sequence than a given layer that comprises the video clip is disabling from being rendered in a monitor view of the GUI. An image of the parent video sequence is rendered in the monitor view while each higher layer is disabled from being rendered. Also while each higher layer is disabled from being rendered, a manipulation by the user of a GUI element that corresponds to a graphical object from the nested video sequence is received. The manipulation is applied to the graphical object from the nested video sequence.

Abstract: A method for controlling a one-touch call mode of a mobile terminal, in which a user can select the call quality of a voice call in consideration of a calling rate. The user interface of the mobile terminal for the selection occupies only a minimum area, providing a small, efficient user interface. The method includes steps of: displaying, on one section of a touch screen, a one-touch call mode switching menu for switching between voice mode and data communication mode when the user makes a selection; and displaying, adjacent to the switching menu on the touch screen, rate per hour information predetermined according to a region for the voice mode or the data communication mode, as selected by the user. The rate per hour information is displayed as calculated with reference to the mode and the selected region, whenever the voice mode and the data communication mode are switched.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a buddy list presentation control method and system, and a computer storage medium. The method includes the following steps: acquiring user information, the user information including buddy grouping information; determining whether the acquired user information further includes theme cover information separately corresponding to each buddy group; and adding, if not, a corresponding theme cover to each buddy group separately according to a preset rule, and then, presenting a buddy grouping list obtained by adding the theme covers. According to the method, the system and the computer storage medium in embodiments of the present invention, recognition and operability of buddy grouping are improved, and an operation cost and operation difficulty are lowered.
