  • Patent number: 11890541
Abstract: A virtual object control method is provided. When there is a need to trigger a skill, a terminal determines a to-be-cast range of a skill and a target virtual object in the to-be-cast range, and displays a cast indication pattern of the skill according to positions of a controlled virtual object and the target virtual object. The terminal adjusts, in response to a position of either virtual object of the controlled virtual object and the target virtual object being changed, the displaying of the cast indication pattern in real time. Thus, it is ensured that the terminal automatically adjusts a pointing direction of the cast indication pattern with the change in the position of the virtual object, so that the cast indication pattern may be associated with the position of the target virtual object. Apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium counterpart embodiments are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11890545
Abstract: An artificial intelligence (AI) based method for calibration of a gaming ecosystem and to maximize satisfaction of a player involved in a gaming session such as single-player gaming session, multi-player online gaming session, and a videogame recommendation system is provided. The system detects the gaming session that includes an execution of a video game for a first gameplay and acquires sensor data associated with a player involved in the first gameplay. The sensor data corresponds to a duration of the detected gaming session. The system determines one or more indicators of a dissatisfaction of the player with the first gameplay based on application of one or more Artificial Intelligence (AI) models on the sensor data. The system controls the execution of the video game to modify one or more aspects associated with the first gameplay or a second gameplay of the video game that is different from the first gameplay.

  • Patent number: 11867530
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for determining an effective altitude in relation to a moving sports object. In some examples, a method includes determining respective values for an air temperature, an air pressure, and a relative humidity of an environment of interest. Based on the determined respective values of the air temperature, the air pressure, and the relative humidity, an air density for the environment of interest is calculated to derive a first air density value. A second air density value is derived for a reference environment. An absolute value of a difference between the first and second air densities is compared against a preset comparison value and, based on the comparison being equal to or smaller than the preset comparison value, an output including an indicator of the effective altitude is generated.

  • Patent number: 11833420
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a shared augmented reality environment are provided. In particular, the latency of communication is reduced by using a peer-to-peer protocol to determine where to send datagrams. Datagrams describe actions that occur within the shared augmented reality environment, and the processing of datagrams is split between an intermediary node of a communications network (e.g., a cell tower) and a server. As a result, the intermediary node may provide updates to a local state of a client device when a datagram is labelled peer-to-peer, and otherwise provides updates to the master state on the server. This may reduce the latency of communication and allow users of the location-based parallel reality game to see actions occur more quickly in the shared augmented reality environment.
