The third boom section is operably connected to the second boom and having at least in an extended position. The third boom section is operably connected to move with respect to the second boom in response to a second external force, and operably connected to return to the extended position upon removal of the second external force.
Abstract: Provided is a fire-fighting system that has a very simple structure with only a hose and a water discharge nozzle mounted on a vehicle, can bring the vehicle close to the fire site by automatic operation or remote control, and minimizes the occurrence of a water hammer when water is supplied. A hose reel is installed on a base which is installed on a vehicle, so as to be rotatable around a rotary shaft extending vertically, a hose having shape retaining property is spirally wound around the hose reel and around the rotary shaft, the lower end of the hose is connectable to a water discharge pump installed behind the vehicle, and the upper end of the hose passes through the rotary shaft of the hose reel and is connected to a water discharge nozzle installed at the upper position of the vehicle.
Abstract: A dry fire protection sprinkler has an inlet seal assembly to seal an inlet orifice. A spring seal compresses in response to a load. An inlet release unit releases the inlet seal assembly. A flexible tube has an inlet end connected to the inlet release unit. A flexible linkage extends through the flexible tube, and has an inlet end connected to the inlet release. An outlet biasing portion is connected to an outlet end of the tube and an outlet end of the linkage, which displaces upon activation of the sprinkler. A sprinkler body is connected to the outlet biasing portion, with an outlet seal assembly to seal its outlet orifice. When ambient reaches a predetermined temperature, the outlet seal assembly releases from the outlet orifice, and the outlet biasing portion displaces the linkage, causing the inlet of the linkage to operate the inlet release unit, releasing the inlet seal.

Abstract: Nozzles for an air duct arrangement of an air conveying system may include a first outlet nozzle that is divided into a plurality of chambers are disclosed. The plurality of chambers formed by the outlet provide for a more uniform flow of air exiting the outlet, which generates a greater induced air flow in an associated section of duct. An orientation of a second outlet relative to an inlet of the nozzle provides for a reduced head loss within the nozzle, thereby providing for reduced backpressure within the nozzle and, consequently, a reduced power consumption associated with generating a desired airflow through the nozzle.

Abstract: A traveling vehicle includes a controller to control a posture of a work machine via a connector. The controller observes whether a farm field surface on which the traveling vehicle travels and the work machine maintain a predetermined positional relationship therebetween, and controls the posture of the work machine when a positional relationship between the farm field surface and the work machine changes from the predetermined positional relationship, so that the positional relationship thus changed is reset to the predetermined positional relationship.

Abstract: A release agent spray system for a vehicle that is used for removing temporary tape from pavement surfaces. The release agent spray system includes a reservoir containing a release agent, a pump for pumping release agent from the reservoir, and a handheld sprayer connected to the reservoir by a fluid conduit or tube and connected electrically to the pump. The handheld sprayer includes an activation switch for activating the pump to deliver release agent from the reservoir to the handheld sprayer.
Abstract: The helicopter drizzle pipe allows for aerial wildfire suppression efforts in otherwise inaccessible areas. The pipe is balanced between the bottom legs of the helicopter as to prevent an imbalance or obstruction to the helicopter rotor blades. Along the bottom of the pipe are strategically placed holes to allow the liquid in the pipe to drizzle out at a constant speed over the whole length of the pipe, simulating rainfall. Due to the pipe's positioning, it is also very easy to remove from the helicopter for refilling or cleaning. Furthermore, the method by which the liquid drizzles from the pipe does not necessitate aircraft movement, thus functioning even when the helicopter hovers to thoroughly cover a specific area.
Abstract: Disclosed is a fire suppressant system for an aircraft having: a source of a fire suppressant; a tubing system for delivering the fire suppressant to one or more predetermined locations; and a discharge nozzle disposed in the one or more predetermined locations, the discharge nozzle connected to the tubing system for distributing the fire suppressant in the one or more predetermined locations during a fire, the discharge nozzle including a plurality of nozzle heads including a first nozzle head with a first flow area and a second nozzle head with a second flow area that differs from the first flow area.
Abstract: A cartridge for use in a showerhead or tap is designed for dispensing a liquid, in particular water or a water-based mixture. The cartridge comprises a set of at least two nozzles arranged to create colliding jets of the liquid and thereby create a spray of droplets of the liquid, and a spray shaper for guiding the spray. An inner diameter of the nozzles is between 0.8 and 1.5 millimetres, and a throat of each of the nozzles, along which the nozzle has a constant diameter, has a length that is at least three times this inner diameter.

Abstract: A system for waterparks or other uses wherein the system combines an electric pump system that can draw water from a lake, a pool or the sea, and pump it through a hose system and sprinklers that can wet objects on or in the water such as a waterpark. It can be connected to floating platforms or other structures that can elevate the sprinklers off the water. The system features an inflatable platform that has an inflatable tower that allows a hose to extend from underwater, through the center of the tower, to a spray nozzle atop the tower that sprays water in any direction. The system can also be attached to any other waterpark structure with various fittings. This will allow a slow drip of water on some items so as to keep them slippery and wet.
