Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to the use of game modifiers between game stages of a game played on a gaming device. According to some embodiments, a gaming device is configured to play a multi-stage game of chance. After a first stage is completed and a result for the first stage is determined, a game modifier is altered and applied to a second stage of the game when a predefined criterion is satisfied. The game modifier may modify prizes associated with the second stage of the game by, for example, applying a multiplier to prizes associated with a second stage result, the modifier may alter an aspect of the second stage of the game by, for example, adding or replacing one or more game elements used in evaluating the second stage outcome for prizes, or the modifier may trigger a bonus event.

  • Patent number: 11179639
Abstract: Embodiments of an automated fraud detection system are disclosed that can detect user accounts that are engaging in unauthorized activities within a game application. The fraud detection system can provide an automated system that identifies parasitic accounts. The fraud detection system may identify patterns using machine learning based on characteristics, such as gameplay and transaction characteristics, associated with the parasitic user accounts. The fraud detection system may generate a model that can be applied to existing accounts within the game in order to automatically identify users that are engaging in unauthorized activities. The fraud detection system may automatically identify these parasitic accounts and implement appropriate actions to prevent the accounts from impacting legitimate users within the game application.

  • Patent number: 11167211
Abstract: A spectator client device receives a plurality of spectator update frames that include respective actual physics state information for game objects of respective participants in a multiplayer game session. The spectator client device buffers respective ones of the spectator update frames for respective participants, and determines based on respective downlink spectator update frames buffered for the respective participants, respective simulated playback physical states at a common playback time of a current simulation period. A particular simulated playback physical state for a particular participant is determined based on actual physics state information obtained from at least two respective downlink spectator update frames buffered for the particular participant.

  • Patent number: 11161038
Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for controlling network applications. For instance, a remote system may send, over a network, data representing a state of an application to a display device, such as a television. The remote system may then receive, over the network, input data from a control device. The input data may represent one or more inputs received by the control device. Using the input data, the remote system may update the state of the application. The remote system may then send, to the display device, data representing the updated state of the application. In some instances, the remote system may further send, to the control device, audio data representing sound corresponding to the updated state of the application. The control device may synchronize outputting of the sound with the displaying the updated state of the application by the display device.

  • Patent number: 11113923
Abstract: Gaming table systems can include multiple electronic gaming tables, multiple gaming terminals, and a system server. Each gaming terminal can have a terminal controller adapted to facilitate the overlapping or simultaneous play by a single player of multiple wager-based table games at multiple electronic gaming tables. A server in communication with the gaming tables controls starting times of the wager-based table games by sending signals to the tables indicating when each game is allowed to start. Signals can be sent due to triggering events and/or can cause staggered starting times across games, which can allow faster players to play more games. The server can also control which gaming tables starts a next game, distribute table usage, and confirm that wagers are placed within a proper time frame for their respective games. A compliance server can verify eligibility of remote gaming terminals to participate in wager-based game play in the system.
