  • Patent number: 11812186
Abstract: Systems and processes are provided for interactive reassignment of character faces in an audio video program. An audio video input receives an audio video program. A user interface receives a request to substitute an original character face within the audio video program with an alternative character face. The system uses a buffer to delay the audio video program and generate a delayed audio video program. A processor detects the original character face in the audio video program and replaces the original character face in the delayed audio video program with the alternative character face to generate a modified and delayed audio video program. The modified delayed audio video program is sent to a display and loudspeaker.

  • Patent number: 11786107
Abstract: An image compression device of an endoscope apparatus includes a compression processing control unit, a storage unit, a first compression parameter generating unit, a second compression parameter generating unit and a compression parameter determining unit. The first compression parameter generating unit generates a first tentative compression parameter based on a transferable data amount. The second compression parameter generating unit generates a second tentative compression parameter based on a storage capacity of the storage unit. The compression parameter determining unit compares the first tentative compression parameter and the second tentative compression parameter to select a parameter with which a data amount after compression becomes smaller as a selected parameter. The compression processing control unit updates a compression parameter with the selected parameter and performs compression processing using the updated compression parameter.

  • Patent number: 11769265
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for assessing the texture of skin using images thereof. In exemplary embodiments, a texture map of an area of skin is generated from a combination of a parallel-polarized image and a cross-polarized image of the area of skin. The texture map is then flattened to remove the underlying curvature of the skin. A texture roughness metric is then generated based on the flattened texture map. An image of the texture map and the metric can be displayed to provide visual and alphanumeric representations of the texture of skin, thereby facilitating the comparison of baseline and follow-up images of the skin, such as those taken before and after treatment.
