  • Patent number: 10017055
Abstract: A method of controlling an air conditioner includes determining whether or not a signal for operating the air conditioner is input to a controller. When it is determined that the signal for operating the air conditioner is input to the controller, determining whether or not conditions for variably controlling the air conditioner are satisfied. When it is determined that the conditions are satisfied, an energy flow mode is checked on the basis of an energy flow between a battery, a motor, an engine, and electric components. The air conditioner is controlled in a mode corresponding to the checked energy flow mode.

  • Patent number: 10012971
Abstract: A current operational state of a program-controlled domestic appliance is monitored while it carries out an operating process. The monitoring system includes a retrofit module and a communication device separate from the retrofit module and from the domestic appliance. The retrofit module has a fastening arrangement for releasable fastening on an outer face of an appliance housing, a data exchange unit for wireless communication, and a sensor arrangement with a magnetic field sensor that detects a magnetic field that is generated by a drive motor of the domestic appliance and that penetrates outwards through the appliance housing. The system determines the current operational state of the domestic appliance with the aid of detected measured values of the magnetic field and outputs the state via the communication device.

  • Patent number: 10012213
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for controlling and/or upgrading aftermarket multivendor wind turbines. The system includes a turbine controller configured to control operations of the wind turbine, a safety device configured to provide a signal indicative of a health status of the safety device, and a secondary controller inserted between the safety device and the turbine controller. The secondary controller is configured to receive the signal from the safety device over a communication interface. As such, if the signal indicates a normal health status, the secondary controller is configured to send the signal to the turbine controller, i.e. maintain normal operation. Alternatively, if the signal indicates a poor health status, the secondary controller is configured to adjust the signal based at least in part on a signal bias to an adjusted signal and to provide the adjusted signal to the turbine controller.

  • Patent number: 9958933
Abstract: Described herein in various embodiments are techniques to better coordinate long wakeup events on a network processor that are due to radio or network activity with the long wakeups that are due to requests from an application processor. In one embodiment, power management logic can receive wake requests from system processes upon notice that one or more application processors are transitioning into a low power state. The power management logic can coalesce the wake requests based on a supplied margin and determine a wake timeframe in which the application processor may be opportunistically woken from the low power state. The power management logic can provide the wake timeframe for the application processor to a network processor in the system. The network processor can opportunistically cause an early wake of the application processor during the wake timeframe.
