Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for providing a continued item purchase experience for users wishing to repeat purchases of items when previously purchased items have been discontinued or are no longer available. A replacement item is identified for an item that is determined to be discontinued. The interaction history of the discontinued item is associated with the replacement item. A user interface is generated to include a listing of previously purchased items, including the replacement items that are arranged in a particular order. The replacement item is arranged in the user interface according to the interaction history of the discontinued item.

Abstract: A facility for provisioning a device is described. The facility discerns an identifier that identifies the device, and transmits the identifier to a server computer system. The facility receives from the server computer system provisioning measures specified for the device. In response to receiving the specified provisioning measures, the facility performs the specified provisioning measures on the device.

Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for processing meat. An example system comprises a database that includes estimates of meat weight associated with characteristics of an animal. The system also includes a server that, after receiving first characteristics of a first animal, generates a first meat weight of the first animal using the estimates in the database. Additionally, in some examples, the system includes an application that is downloadable onto a mobile device. The item may be associated with an item tag that is placed on (or near) the reorder device. The reorder device may detect the item tag and transmit such data to an entity device, which may associate the reorder device and the item. The reorder device may periodically obtain weight measurements of the item that is placed on the reorder device, as well as a timestamp that indicates a time at which the weight measurements are obtained. Such data may be provided to the entity device, and an entity associated with the entity device may determine whether weight measurement satisfies an item threshold value. If so, additional inventory of the item may be ordered and delivered to the customer, without additional input from the customer.

A data transmission that includes data indicating a first search query for an item of a publication system is received from a client machine. A first plurality of search results is determined from listed items based, at least in part, on the first search query, and the first plurality of search results are each associated with a price. A range of prices associated with a first subset of the search results is determined based on a price distribution range including a median price associated with the first search results, or a utility cost function using a plurality of price quantiles and a plurality of price values included in different price quantiles. The authentication of calling parties applies to simultaneous voice and/or data communications with multiple parties over multiple electronic mediums including a variety of electronic devices. A user can continue to maintain a data exchange session with a representative of an entity offering the goods or services of interest to the user across more than one user device. In some embodiments, a user can invite other parties in a multi-party call involving the user and the representative. Various embodiments for multi-party and multi-device authentication mechanisms are described herein. In some embodiments, the system calculates an estimated call waiting time for a user to speak with the representative.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for efficiently meeting the needs of property buyers, sellers, and agents. Attributes of the user and of each property are combined and processed by a machine learning model. The output represents a prediction that a user will choose to view the property. Each property is ranked and displayed to the user. When the user selects a property, the interaction is used to update the machine learning model. In some cases, a natural language processing system identifies property and user attributes based on a natural language query. In some cases, a chatbot may respond to a natural language query in real time. The system may also be utilized to provide matching services for buyers or sellers to agents, or third party service providers, as well as matching buyers and sellers directly to each other, or user to other users for transaction, interaction and other needs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for computing user rating predictions are disclosed. In some examples, a recommender is implemented on at least one processor and memory and programmed for receiving a request to select one or more recommended items for a user from unrated items that are unrated by the user to the recommender. The recommender is programmed for computing user rating predictions for each of the unrated items by applying a graph filter to user-item rating data. The user-item rating data includes other-user ratings of the unrated items by other users and a same-user ratings of other items by the user. The recommender is programmed for selecting the one or more recommended items from the unrated items using the user rating predictions for the unrated items and outputting the recommended items in response to the request.

Abstract: Self-checkout technologies for retail stores are improved by incorporation of enhanced fraud detection arrangements. For example, if a shopper enters an item on a self-checkout tally, while positioned at a location remote from the normal stock location for that item, a responsive action may be taken. Likewise, if a shopper enters the same item on a self-checkout tally twice, at widely separated times, a responsive action may be taken. These responsive actions can include dispatching a store clerk to assist the shopper, or increasing a risk score that is repeatedly re-calculated during the shopper's visit. Abstract: Techniques for modifying a garment based on gestures are presented herein. An access module can access a first set of sensor data from a first sensor, and a second set of sensor data from a second sensor. A garment simulation module can generate a three-dimensional (3D) garment model of a garment available for sale draped on an avatar based on the first set of sensor data and the second set of sensor data. A display module can cause a presentation, on a display of a device, of the 3D garment model draped on the avatar. Additionally, the garment simulation module can determine a modification gesture associated with the 3D garment model draped on the avatar based on the first set of sensor data and the second set of sensor data. Furthermore, the garment simulation module can modify the 3D garment model based on the determined modification gesture.
