Abstract: It is an instant and simple VELCRO improvement, and it has a male tape roll and a female tape roll being packed together in one plastic case. The two rolls of tape will be pressed and fastened together upon being pulled out the case so as to facilitate further processing.

Abstract: A package suitable for either hanging or standing on end. The package includes a blister portion having a receptacle with a substantially flat, open back which is usually closed by a thin strip in the final assembly, a top flange extending upwardly from the receptacle at the open back and a bottom flange extending downwardly from the receptacle at the open back. A carrier portion is joined to the blister portion and includes a flat rear panel abutting the open back. The blister portion is attached to the carrier portion by means of a flap in the rear panel securing the top flange to the rear panel and a band formed in the bottom of the carrier portion extending outwardly from the rear panel about a retention element protruding downwardly from the bottom of the receptacle. The band and the bottom flange in combination comprise a rest for supporting the package on end on a horizontal surface.

Abstract: This is an improved mounting means which can be used on special occasions for holding and displaying items that may be given away to guests as a remembrance of the special occasion. The mounting means may be a flat board with circular holes and vertical slots drilled and cut through the board. A circular hole is located at the top of each vertical slot. Thin disks may be attached to the remembrance items in order to facilitate mounting of the items. The remembrance items are mounted by inserting each item into one of the circular holes in the board and then sliding it down the vertical slot below the hole.

Abstract: The invention comprises an adjustable case for stringed instruments, such as violins, violas, or guitars, which may have different body sizes within any given type. The case has a transverse interior fixed wall, preferably contoured for the button or lower end of the instrument body. This wall can be adjusted longitudinally to form a snug fit for any instrument having a body size within the adjustment range. The moveable wall has a cut-out area to act as a bearing surface for the neck of the instrument and tie-down straps to further eliminate movement during transit. A resilient pad, generally located on the floor of the case, is associated with each end wall structure. These support the sturdier end areas of the back of the body so that the more fragile central portion of the back is held above the bottom panel of the case. Thus, an impact to the outside of the case is not transmitted directly to the instrument.

Abstract: A plastic bag having front and rear walls, an open bag mouth, and a detachable tab upwardly projecting from the front and rear walls centrally along the bag mouth. The tab is integral with the bag walls at a pair of opposed readily severable areas below the bag mouth, and non-integral with the bag walls between the severable areas. The bags are provided in packs with the bag secured at the tabs.

Abstract: A storage container for storing planar packages, such a floppy disks, having a storage bin to which a front cover is pivotally attached so as to be rotatable outwardly and downwardly through an angle placing the front cover to the rear of the storage bin where it serves as a supporting base. Within the storage bin is disposed a wedge rotatably attached, and with an actuating lever, which, when rotated appropriately, causes planar packages stored in the storage bin to be raised into echelon display, enabling observation of information that may be present on the upper margins of the planar surfaces of the packages.

Abstract: A plastic bag unit comprising a box having a removable flap covering an aperture in the front wall of the box, and a pad of bags positioned within the box, the pad comprising an upper base portion from which depends a stack of bag-forming pockets having open mouths, the pockets being connected to the base portion by score lines, and the open mouths facing the aperture; the base portion having connections at each side acting as anchoring counterforces against forward pull of individual pockets through the aperture, and the wall portion framing the aperture acting to exert additional counterforce against the forward pull, whereby the resulting pockets are simultaneously removed from the base portion, extracted from the box and fully opened by a simple forward pull.

Abstract: Aligned sets of clips with elongated openings are received on pairs of spaced substantially parallel elements extending from a base. Each of the clip receiving elements has removably mounted thereto a member which serves to prevent rotation of the clips during mounting. The clips are encircled by a band which passes through opposing indentations in the base. After banding, the rotation preventing members are removed by breaking the connecting parts which mount same to the clip receiving elements.

Abstract: A seal kit for preventing the loss of transmission fluid when servicing and/or storing an automatic transmission includes first and second plugs and a retaining strap. The first plug seals the aperture which normally receives the transmission's dipstick. The second plug seals the aperture which is formed when the rearward portion of the transmission is disconnected from the vehicle's drive shaft. This plug has a handle portion and a hollow cylindrical shank having a smooth outer surface which is engaged by the lip seal surrounding this aperture. Finally, a retaining strap having apertures in opposite ends thereof which align with apertures in a flange at the transmission's forward end is secured by means of bolts for example across the forward end of the transmission to secure the torque converter contained therein when the transmission is disconnected from the vehicle's bell housing.

Abstract: A pill dispenser employing a cartridge contained within and rotatably mounted to a housing. The housing includes a cover and a base. The base has a post extending to receive the cartridge and a dispensing hole therethrough. The cover includes a boss having an asymmetry which allows for alignment of the cartridge when positioned on the cover. The cartridge includes holes at first radially equal locations from the center of the cartridge with one blank space therein and a second row of holes inwardly thereof. Thus, multiple pills may be dispensed through the dispensing hole in the base on a multiple cycle basis.

Abstract: A molded plastic bottle holder is illustrated wherein individual rib sections are provided for receiving respective necks of the bottles held to form a package. Each of the individual rib sections carries a number of segmental flexible lip members extending upwardly and inwardly to receive the neck of the bottle and wedge shaped members are carried by marginal portions of the flexible lip members to define an opening and to add rigidity at the opening to facilitate removal of a bottle from the bottle holder while ensuring adequate gripping action during handling.

Abstract: A multi-container package and method for making the same including two six-pack assemblies of containers, a paperboard cover over at least a part of the multi-container package, and an elastic band encircling and securing together the two six-pack assemblies and the paperboard cover. The band includes a central stabilizing strap located between the two six-pack assemblies, and the paperboard cover includes a top panel formed of two separate sections interconnected by two intermediate panels which extend down in-between the two six-pack assemblies to accommodate and receive there-between the central stabilizing strap.

Abstract: This invention provides medical procedure packages comprising a pre-sterilized kit within an outer package wrap, the package being so designed that all components of the package are sterilized using sterilization methods which are compatible with the chemical compositions of the components and their stability to such sterilization methods, and wherein the internal sterility of the package is maintained from final package sealing until the package is delivered to a sterile operating room environment.

Abstract: A coffee filter package which can be commercially distributed on top of a coffee can and retains a supply of nested coffee filters therein. The coffee filters are subsequently utilized by the consumer for filter dispensing. The package includes a cylindrical upper receptacle portion for receiving the supply of filters and retaining them in a compacted, pleated form. A peripheral skirt portion depends from the lower end of the receptacle for snapping onto the lid of the coffee can.

Abstract: This invention relates to improvements in boxes, cartons and other similar containers which are used as combination shipping and storage containers convertible to display stands. The containers are formed from bendable material such as folded cardboard, folded paper or other bendable material. The containers are readily useful for storing flat articles and planar discs, such as floppy discs used with computers and other electronic equipment. The containers are converted to display stands by folding down the top wall section to fit inside the empty container to form a well so as to support the flat contents in an upright position.

Abstract: A container for holding sharp objects includes a bottle having a body and a rim extending upwardly from the body and defining an opening into the body. A cap is disposed upon the rim in abutting relationship to the rim near the bottom of rim. The rim and the cap define a detent relationship to hold the cap in irremovable relationship on the rim. A funnel made from a relatively soft and pliant material is disposed on the rim between the cap and the rim in sealed relationship with the cap and the rim. The funnel and the rim define a detent relationship to hold the funnel on the rim. The funnel is provided with a portion extending downwardly and inwardly into the opening in the rim at an angle to the rim. The inwardly extending portion is slitted to define a plurality of resilient leaves. The funnel abuts the rim and the cap along the side and top of the rim and the cap.

Abstract: A securing mechanism for releasible securement together of components and a latch member having at least one projection transverse of its axis, biasing means mounting the latch member on the first component for limited angular movement about its axis and biasing the latch member to a first angular position, a second component defining a bore to receive the latch member and defining one or more grooves extending along the bore to receive the projection to allow axial movement between the first and second components when the projection is in registration with the groove, and means defining a ledge adjacent the bore to receive the latch member to prevent relative axial movement between the components with the latch member in its first angular position. Manual movement of the latch member between its angular positions allows relative movement between components for separation.

Abstract: Several essential tools required by firemen at a fire scene are assembled together to form a unit which is supported in a safe and stable manner by a bracket which may be flush mounted on a vertical surface of a fire engine or may be mounted on a stanchion rising from a running board of the fire engine.

Abstract: A wire rack for supporting a box or carton containing a roll of flexible plastic bags with the rack being capable of quick and easy supporting engagement with the upper edge of a trash receptacle, janitorial cart and the like. In one embodiment, the wire rack is curved in a manner to conform with and engage the upper open end of a large waste receptacle of cylindrical configuration. In another embodiment, the wire rack is straight for mounting on the upper end of a maid's or janitor's cart. In both embodiments of the invention, the wire rack includes a locking arrangement by which opposite legs of the rack which straddle the box or carton will lockingly engage with a slotted end of the carton with the inner end of the locking arrangement being inserted into the hollow core on which the roll of plastic bags are wound.

Abstract: A display/storage package for flat articles such as computer software discs, and a file for one or more display/storage packages. The display/storage package includes a bottom portion, a top portion complementary to the bottom portion, which, when engaged to constitute a closed package, form an internal compartment. The top and bottom portions are provided with corner assistance to aid in opening the package when closed. A hinge connects the top and bottom portions along one edge thereof and includes a longitudinal channel forming a guideway for a strip bearing indicia identifying the contents of the package. The file comprises a housing and a liner for the housing, with the liner including at least one pair of opposed grooves shaped to guide and retain the display/storage package within the file.
