Abstract: A method for enabling a user of a computing device to designate a content item for subsequent review is provided. The computing device is coupled to a memory device and a display. The method is implemented using the computing device. The method includes displaying, by the computing device, a first publication. The method further includes the steps of displaying, by the computing device, a content item at a first time, wherein the content item is displayed in conjunction with the first publication. The method further includes receiving, by the computing device, a first input from the user to designate the content item for subsequent review, generating an indicator that the content item has been designated for subsequent review, causing the memory device to store the indicator, determining a second time to display the content item, and displaying the content item at the second time.

Abstract: The present invention relates to communication technology and discloses an information processing method and an electronic device. The information processing method is applied in an electronic device. The touch display unit is capable of displaying at least one target object associated with the first application and displaying the first application in a small window or a full-screen window in response to the target object being touched. The full-screen window has a display area equal to an area where the touch display unit can accept a touch event and the small window has a display area smaller than the area where the touch display unit can accept a touch event. The small window is obtained by converting the full-screen window based on a first conversion parameter.

Abstract: An electronic device provides, to a display, data to present a user interface with a plurality of user interface objects that includes a first user interface object and a second user interface object. A current focus is on the first user interface object. The device receives an input that corresponds to a request to move the current focus; and, in response, provides, to the display, data to: move the first user interface object from a first position towards the second user interface object and/or tilt the first user interface object from a first orientation towards the second user interface object; and, after moving and/or tilting the first user interface object, move the current focus from the first user interface object to the second user interface object, and move the first user interface object back towards the first position and/or tilt the first user interface object back towards the first orientation.

Abstract: An automatic scrolling mechanism converts an information repository into media that can actively present and “push” information to the users/viewers while retaining existing “pull” and interactivity functions. Automatic scrolling can be controlled by placing a cursor on control icons, such as boxes, lines, and arrow clusters. While the cursor is on an icon, automatic scrolling brings into view content that extends beyond the field of view. The scrolled content is moved into the field of view of the display window in a predetermined direction designated by the icon. Sub-windows are also designed to be independently and automatically scrolled or floated with respect the main window. Links created in an information repository may be automatically activated to retrieve the linked information, and to automatically present and scroll the information. As the content is automatically scrolled, the repository is pushed and the user is allured to further navigate through the repository.

Abstract: An electronic device with one or more processors and memory is in communication with a display. The device, while in a first playback navigation mode, provides, to the display, video information for display; and receives an input that corresponds to a request by a user to switch to a second playback navigation mode. The video information includes information that corresponds to one or more frames of a video, a scrubber bar that represents a timeline of the video, a first playhead that indicates a current play position in the scrubber bar, and playback position markers, distinct from the first playhead, that indicate predetermined playback positions in the video. The device, in response to receiving the input, transitions from the first playback navigation mode to the second playback navigation mode; and, while in the second playback navigation mode, ceases to provide information that corresponds to the playback position markers.

Abstract: A user can select an object represented in video content in order to set a magnification level with respect to that object. A portion of the video frames containing a representation of the object is selected to maintain a presentation size of the representation corresponding to the magnification level. The selection provides for a “smart zoom” feature enabling an object of interest, such as a face of an actor, to be used in selecting an appropriate portion of each frame to magnify, such that the magnification results in a portion of the frame being selected that includes the one or more objects of interest to the user. Pre-generated tracking data can be provided for some objects, which can enable a user to select an object and then have predetermined portion selections and magnifications applied that can provide for a smoother user experience than for dynamically-determined data.

The method, system, and computer program product can include presenting a stream computing application, presenting metrics associated with at least one compute node and at least one processing element (or portion thereof), receiving input from a graphical display, associating one or more processing elements (or portions thereof) to one or more compute nodes, and updating the graphical display and the metrics to reflect the selective associations.

Abstract: A portable messaging device is provided that can display visual messages and communicate with additional messaging devices via a local area network. The portable messaging device can include a display panel having an LED array, and a control unit. Lateral side walls, and the inner surface of the display panel can define at least part of a recessed opening configured to receive an electronic device such as a smartphone. The control unit can receive input via a user interface of the portable messaging device and, responsive to the input, provide a visual message to the LED array for display from the outer surface of the display panel.

Abstract: The subject matter described herein is directed to controlling presentation and selection of objects that are digital images depicting subjects. According to one aspect, a plurality of objects is presented via a presentation device having a screen. Each object is associated with at least one other object of plurality of objects and is a digital image of a subject. A first object presented is selected in response to a first selection event associated with the first object. A second object non-adjacent to the first object is determined based on a predefined relationship associating the first object with the second object, wherein the second object is on-screen or off-screen. The second is presented via the presentation device on-screen and adjacent to the first object in response to the determination. An indication of the predefined relationship is also presented.

The method may be implemented on one or more computer devices. There is also a computer program product and a system for sharing a target object between a first user and a second user.

Abstract: A framework is provided for obtaining window information. The window information can be applied to different assignment models to assign windows to different groups. A group may correspond to a task being performed by a user. The window information can be semantic or temporal information captured as window events and properties of windows whose events are captured. Temporal information can be information about switches between windows. Semantic information can be window titles. Temporal information, semantic information, or both, can be used to assign windows to groups.

The controller performs control so that, when the object approaches a function displayed on an original screen, a next screen associated with the function selected as a result of the approach of the object is temporarily displayed using a display mode corresponding to a relationship between the original screen and the next screen.

Abstract: A system and method of managing applications and event notifications using a cursor-based GUI, wherein the cursor-based GUI is located adjacent to the cursor and provides a user with the ability manage and monitor a plurality of dynamically updated applications, commands and event notifications via a persistent and centralized interface. Since the cursor-based GUI is persistent in nature, the plurality of applications, commands and event notifications can be accessed regardless of the user's computer environment. The user can manage user authentication requirements and other configuration information for the cursor-based GUI.
