  • Patent number: 11861755
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing a signaling location beacon are provided. Specifically, a physical location for transferring a delivery from a delivery person to a customer can be determined. Also, a physical beacon associated with the physical location can be identified. Further, an interaction between the physical beacon and the delivery person can be detected. For example, the interaction can occur based on the physical beacon and the delivery person being in physical proximity to each other. As follows, in response to the interaction, transmission of a sensory signal to the delivery person can be facilitated to provide perceivable direction information associated with the physical location to the delivery person.

  • Patent number: 11847592
Abstract: A required time prediction apparatus (2000) acquires utilization facility information and assumed date and time information. The utilization facility information is information enabling to determine a departure facility and a destination facility. The assumed date and time information is information enabling to determine an assumed departure date and time assuming departure from the departure facility or an assumed arrival date and time assuming arrival at the destination facility. The apparatus (2000) estimates a waiting time at each facility being present between the departure facility and the destination facility, regarding a case of assuming departure from the departure facility at the assumed departure date and time, or a case of assuming arrival at the destination facility at the assumed arrival date and time. Then, the apparatus (2000) computes, based on the estimated waiting time, a predicted required time from departure from the departure facility to arrival at the destination facility.

  • Patent number: 11847586
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a distance travelled by a vehicle for the purpose of assessing and settling a road usage charge allows for determining a distance travelled with a vehicle. A mobile device can acquire odometer values which are subsequently reported to a system that confirms the distance drive and determines a road usage charge. Once the actual distance travelled by the vehicle is determined by the system, a road usage charge can be determined. Fuel excise taxes paid by the vehicle operator for fuel used by the vehicle and tolls can be subtracted from the road usage charge to determine a road usage settlement amount that can be paid from, or refunded to a financial account associated with the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11842373
Abstract: The present application describes systems and methods for tracking rides, using various signal inputs to determine automatically when a ride is terminated, and billing the rider an accurate amount for a vehicle was in use. Users may sometimes forget to terminate their rides via, for example, a smartphone application that allows a user to terminate a ride. Terminating the ride allows the user to stop the timer used to determine the ride price. Terminating a ride early and accurately if a user forgets to themselves also allows the vehicle to be put into a pool of available vehicles more quickly, resulting in more availability for additional users. Ride share vehicles are becoming more and more prevalent in.

  • Patent number: 11829940
Abstract: In implementations of item transfer control systems, a computing device implements a transfer system to receive input data describing types of requested items and corresponding quantities of the types of requested items to receive at each of a plurality of destination sites and types of available items and corresponding quantities of the types of available items that are available at each of a plurality of source sites. The transfer system constructs a flow network having a source node for each of the plurality of the source sites and a destination node for each of the plurality of the destination sites. An integral approximate solution is generated that transfers the corresponding quantities of the types of requested items to each of the plurality of the destination sites using a maximum flow solver and the flow network.

  • Patent number: 11823114
Abstract: An apparatus has a memory that stores instructions executed by a processor to receive from a source node machine in a network a unique identifier for an object, where the source node machine executes a first instance of an object tracking application. The source node is designated as a parent in a chain-of-custody. The unique identifier and source node information are recorded in an immutable ledger. Updates for the object are received from intermediate node machines in the network. The information updates are recorded in the immutable ledger. A final information update for the object is received from a destination node machine. The final information update is recorded in the immutable ledger. A chain-of-custody map is constructed for the object. The chain-of-custody map is augmented with layers of spatially related data to form a composite chain-of-custody map.

  • Patent number: 11810050
Abstract: A method for computing a quality location estimate of a delivery robot by creating an ad-hoc network that can include one or more autonomous delivery vehicles, nearby infrastructure such as 5th Generation signal transceivers, vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) enabled autonomous vehicles, and millimeter-wave device components in Line-Of-Sight (LOS) with any of the above communicating devices. The method can include estimating the quality for localization (e.g., dilution of precision), and steering the robot delivery vehicle via a vehicle-to-anything (V2X) antenna disposed on the robot delivery vehicle and/or repositioning the autonomous delivery vehicle itself to obtain maximum positioning accuracy. The location estimates computed by the vehicle are sent to the delivery robot which then fuses these estimates with its onboard sensor values. The method may assist localization based on a 2D occupancy map to enhance the positioning performance and provides robust localization mechanism without expensive 3D sensors.

  • Patent number: 11783272
Abstract: A method utilizing a permission-based access functionality to obtain communication identifying metadata in electronic communications associated with a first and/or a second user. The communication identifying metadata is processed to generate first physical address metadata associated with the second user. Second physical addresses metadata associated with the second user is identified in data objects stored in electronic resources. The first and the second physical addresses metadata are inputted into a machine learning model which identifies related physical addresses, based on a change in a feature of the first and/or second physical addresses metadata and to predict a most likely current physical address of the second user. Upon receipt of the access permission to the current physical address of the second user, a database stored on a computing device of the first user is updated with the current physical address of the second user.
