  • Patent number: 11898834
Abstract: A rear-deploying broadhead for an arrow includes a ferrule, a rear deploying blade, and a spring. The ferrule has a slot that receives the blade, the blade movable axially in the slot between a retracted position and extended position that presents blade edges when penetrating a target. A spring disposed on the shank of the broadhead applies a spring force to the blade when the blade is in the retracted position that maintains the blade in the retracted position during arrow flight.

  • Publication number: 20240019588
Abstract: Onboard geolocation of target pixels in images captured by a spacecraft is disclosed. By performing the geolocation onboard the spacecraft considerable time is saved. The geolocation may be based on timestamped ephemeris data and timestamped attitude data of the spacecraft. In one aspect, initial geolocation data is refined based on a digital construct. In one aspect, the accuracy of the ephemeris data and/or the attitude data are improved based on refinements made to the initial geolocation data. For example, corrections may be made to attitude and/or orbit filter parameters based on the refinements made to the initial geolocation data. In one aspect, the accuracy of the attitude data and/or the ephemeris data may be improved by the use of state information. The state information may be determined at a ground computing station based on information not available to the spacecraft such as Ground Control Points and/or Star Control Points.

  • Publication number: 20230414888
Abstract: A system for determining total flow output from a flow generator, and/or tidal volume of gas inhaled by a patient includes: a flow generator for connection to a patient interface; a patient pressure sensor to measure patient pressure at the patient interface and an oxygen input line with an oxygen input line sensor, both in communication with a controller. The oxygen input line conveys oxygen from an oxygen source to the flow generator, and has an oxygen flow valve for controlling the flow of oxygen from the oxygen source to the flow generator. The processor is programmed with one or more algorithms to determine the flow output for the flow generator based on a particular patient pressure and oxygen input line flow. Leak flow is subtracted from the flow generator output to determine patient flow, which is integrated to calculate patient tidal volume of gas inhaled.

  • Patent number: 11836230
Abstract: A vehicle or a mobile device within or near the vehicle can have multiple sensors to authenticate a passenger or driver of the vehicle in different ways, e.g., fingerprint, facial recognition, voice fingerprinting, iris scan, etc. Also, non-biometric factors can be used to authenticate the passenger or driver of the vehicle, e.g., MAC address, RFID, username and password, PIN, etc. In addition, a network attached security asset accessed by a vehicle can be included within the vehicle such as modem within the vehicle with authentication capabilities. Also, the authentication can be according to a zero trust framework or networking methodology. Some or all of such credentials and authentication factors or methods can fail individually, at least in part, in various conditions. An intelligent system, making use of intelligent multi-factor authentication, can combine such information to determine the identity of the passenger or driver with more reliability.

  • Patent number: 11831770
Abstract: A relay service can relay messages between controllers and electronically controllable accessory devices that may be located remotely from the controllers. Relaying of messages by the relay service can be decoupled from any knowledge of the functionality of the accessory or the content of the messages. Device identification and relaying of messages can be managed using “relay aliases” that are meaningful only to the relay service and the endpoint devices (the controller and accessory). The endpoint devices can implement end-to-end security for messages transported by the relay service.
