    Abstract: An interaction detection and analysis (“IDA”) computing device for aggregating and analyzing operations data from a plurality of autonomous vehicles (“AVs”) may be provided. The IDA computing device may include at least one processor programmed to (i) receive software ecosystem data, environmental conditions data, and performance data for a plurality of AVs, (ii) store the received data in a plurality of data records, (iii) apply at least one clustering algorithm to the plurality of data records to identify a subset of data records for AVs that have similar software ecosystems, and (iv) apply at least one machine learning algorithm to the identified subset of data records to detect i) an interaction between at least one software application and at least one environmental condition that may result in a particular outcome and ii) a correlation between the detected interaction and the particular outcome.

According to certain aspects, an identity of a vehicle operator may be determined and a vehicle operator profile and/or operating data regarding autonomous operation features of the vehicle may be received after the vehicle operator opts into a rewards program and agrees to share their data. Autonomous operation and vehicle operator risk levels associated with operation of the autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be determined. Based upon the risk levels and/or comparison thereof, one or more autonomous operation features may be disengaged. A preparedness level of the vehicle operator to assume or reassume control of operating the vehicle is determined prior to disengagement. If satisfactory, an alert is presented to the vehicle operator prior to disengagement of the autonomous operation features.

The automation system may be configured to control an aspect of autonomous operation of the vehicle. The processor may be further programmed to determine one or more mitigating actions to perform on the automation system based upon the threat assessment. The one or more mitigating actions are configured to reduce a danger to the vehicle presented by the anomalous event. The processor may also be programmed to transmit to the vehicle instructions to perform one or more mitigating actions on the automation system.

    Abstract: Acoustic touch and/or force sensing system architectures and methods for acoustic touch and/or force sensing can be used to detect a position of an object touching a surface and an amount of force applied to the surface by the object. The position and/or an applied force can be determined using time-of-flight (TOF) techniques, for example. Acoustic touch sensing can utilize transducers (e.g., piezoelectric) to simultaneously transmit ultrasonic waves along a surface and through a thickness of a deformable material. The location of the object and the applied force can be determined based on the amount of time elapsing between the transmission of the waves and receipt of the reflected waves. In some examples, an acoustic touch sensing system can be insensitive to water contact on the device surface, and thus acoustic touch sensing can be used for touch sensing in devices that may become wet or fully submerged in water.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to one or more intermediate layers located on a surface of a cover material of an acoustic touch screen. In some examples, the one or more layers can include one or more intermediate layers. The one or more intermediate layers can include a first layer including a plurality of features and a second layer located between the first layer and the cover material. In a touch condition, the touch object can apply a force to the top surface of the acoustic touch sensor. The applied force can create one or more local bends causing the plurality of features to move closer to the cover material and causing one or more surface discontinuities in the cover material. The acoustic waves can undergo reflections (e.g., causing the signal to be attenuated) due to the discontinuities located in the path of the wave propagation.
