  • Patent number: 11030220
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement, in a database system, global table management operations for global tables or objects that are replicated across multiple locations. In embodiments, for a regional replica of a global table, a requested change to a metadata property of the replica (e.g., an attribute data type, a write throughput limit, or a time-to-live setting) is propagated to other replicas of the global table at other locations. In embodiments, before performing the requested management operation, the database system may first verify that the operation can be successfully performed in all locations. In embodiments, the operation may be performed optimistically without verification, and rolled back if it cannot be performed everywhere. In embodiments, to serialize management operations on a global table, the database system may check for other pending management operations via a shared control object, and proceed when any pending operations are finished.

  • Patent number: 11029988
Abstract: A method to allocate storage includes assigning a quota on space from a storage reservation pool, allocating an epoch specific storage space to a virtual disk, creating a memory map for the virtual disk to track used space. For every write to the virtual disk during an epoch, the method includes updating the memory map, determining if the used space is greater than a threshold of the epoch specific storage space based on the memory map. When the used space is greater than the threshold, the method includes predicting additional space for future writes to the virtual disk in the epoch, determining if the additional space is available from the storage reservation pool, and, when the additional space is available, increasing the epoch specific storage and proceeding with the write to the virtual disk.

  • Patent number: 11012520
Abstract: An approach is provided in which an information handling system captures a set of performance metrics corresponding to a traffic flow through a set of microservices included in the service mesh. Next, the information handling system identifies one or more modifications to the traffic flow based on analyzing the set of performance metrics against a set of application requirements corresponding to the set of microservices. In turn, the information handling system adjusts a traffic routing policy of the service mesh based on the identified one or more modifications.

  • Patent number: 10986404
Abstract: The system and methods described herein determine whether to override commands to modify content presentation in a multi-user content consumption environment. A media guidance application detects a first and second user consuming content. Upon receiving a command from the first user to modify the presentation of the content, the media guidance application retrieves a user profile of the second user and compares attributes in the user profile to metadata for the segment of the content. Based on the comparison, the media guidance application determines whether to override the command, for example based on a predicted interest level or importance level determined by the comparison. In response to determining to override the command, the media guidance application refrains from executing the command by canceling or delaying the command and generates a notification message to the user with a reason why the command was overridden.

  • Publication number: 20210110154
Abstract: A method modifies and utilizes a text document based on an audio file that has captured audio proceedings relevant to the text document. One or more processors and/or a user segment the text document into topic-based text segments. Processor(s) receive an audio file that is relevant to the text document, convert the audio file into text, and match a specific topic-based text segment from the topic-based text segments to a specific topic-based audio segment from the topic-based audio segments. In response to identifying a difference between content in the specific topic-based text segment and content in the specific topic-based audio segment, processor(s) and/or the user update the specific topic-based text segment with the content in the specific topic-based audio segment to create an updated version of the text document.

  • Publication number: 20210110862
Abstract: A write history buffer can prevent write disturb in memory, enabling a reduction in write disturb refresh rate and improvement in performance. A memory device can include circuitry to cause consecutive write commands to the same address to be spaced by an amount of time to reduce incidences of write disturb, and therefore reduce the required write disturb refresh rate and improve performance. In one example, a memory device receives multiple write commands to an address. In response to receipt of the multiple write commands, the first write command is sent to the memory and a timer is started. Subsequent write commands that are received after the first write command and before expiration of the timer are held in a buffer. After expiration of the timer, only the most recent of the subsequent write commands to the address is sent to the memory array.

  • Publication number: 20210095034
Abstract: Methods are provided for targeting cells for depletion, including without limitation tumor cells, in a regimen comprising contacting the targeted cells with a combination of agents that modulate immunoregulatory signaling. Immunoregulatory modulating agents include (i) an agent that blockades CD47 activity; and (ii) an agent that agonizes an immune costimulatory molecule, e.g. CD137. The regimen may further comprise an agent that specifically binds to the target cell, e.g. an antibody or biologically active fragment or derivative thereof. The level of depletion of the targeted cell is enhanced relative to a regimen in which a single immunoregulatory modulating agent is used; and the effect may be synergistic relative to a regimen in which a single immunoregulatory modulating agent is used.

  • Publication number: 20210067600
Abstract: In various embodiments, a service worker processes network requests by proxying the network requests via a content distribution network. The service worker intercepts a network request from a client application, generates a duplicate network request, and changes certain elements of the duplicate network request. The intercepted request can be an initial document request used to load a webpage or a subsequent request that includes an application programming interface (API) call. The service worker transmits the duplicate network request to a content distribution network that proxies the duplicate request to a cloud computing system, thereby accelerating that request.

  • Publication number: 20200380386
Abstract: In some examples, a server may determine a specification associated with a software module that is to be integrated with a software system. The specification identifies how the software module interacts with the software system. The server may execute a machine learning module to perform an analysis of the specification. The machine learning module may suggest at least one modification to at least a first portion of the specification and may automatically modify at least a second portion of the specification. The server may convert the specification to one or more application programming interface (API) calls and provide a system interface that includes the one or more API calls to enable the software module to interact with the software system. The API calls may include calls to a data integration API, a file transfer API, a messaging API, a database API, or any combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 10783877
Abstract: A system for categorizing words into clusters includes a receiver to receive a set of sentences formed by a plurality of words. The set of sentences is indicative of interaction of a user with a virtual assistant. A categorizer categorizes the plurality of words into a first set of clusters by using a first clustering technique, and categorizes the plurality of words into a second set of clusters by using a second clustering technique. A detector detects words that appear in similar clusters after categorization by the first clustering technique and the second clustering technique. Similarity of clusters is based on a nature of words forming the clusters. A generator generates a confidence score for each of the plurality of words based on the detection. The confidence score of a word is indicative of accuracy of the categorization of the word.
