  • Patent number: 8177005
Abstract: When a gear of a transmission for transmitting torque of a motor to a drive shaft is shifted while an accelerator is off or an accelerator pedal is slightly stepped on, an upper limit rotation speed is set using a fluctuation rate of a value smaller than a value when the gear is not shifted, a target rotation speed of an engine is set using this upper limit rotation speed, and control is carried out so that an engine is operated at the target rotation speed. By this arrangement, when the accelerator pedal is stepped on and a large torque demand is demanded, rise of the engine rotation speed is restricted, a portion used for raising the rotation speed in power outputted from the engine is made smaller, and a larger power can be outputted to the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 8096644
Abstract: A print head, which ejects ink by using a method whereby a bubble generated by a heat generating element communicates with the air, and for which the occurrence of cavitation is deterred and the durability is improved, is provided. According to the print head, a bubble grows until the maximum volume is attained, and then, at a volume reduction step, communicates with the air. As a result, a liquid in a bubble generation chamber is ejected. An ejection port and the heat generating element are arranged so that the center of the ejection port is shifted away from the center of the heat generating element in a direction leading from an ink supply port to the ejection port.

  • Patent number: 8033319
Abstract: Disclosed is a continuous casting in which an electromagnetic stirrer is installed upstream, in the casting direction, of the reduction rolling position of a slab, and in which a slab with a liquid core is reduced in thickness, wherein by imparting a collision flow forming-type stirring and a uni-directional alternating flow forming-type stirring, molten steel with concentrated segregation elements is stirred and diffused in a width-wise direction of slab, whereby a slab stabilized in center segregation qualities can be produced over long-time casting operation. Since the stirring flowing pattern is selectively imparted by means of the same electromagnetic stirrer, it is effective to decrease facility and equipment costs, improve maintainability, and extensively cope with various casting conditions.

  • Patent number: 7632212
Abstract: In the case of the on setting of an eco switch signal ESW, when a torque demand Tr* is less than a good fuel consumption-assuring minimum torque Temin, the hybrid vehicle of the invention stops the operation of an engine and controls a motor MG2 to output a required torque for constant speed drive. When the torque demand Tr* is not less than the good fuel consumption-assuring minimum torque Temin, on the other hand, the engine is driven at a drive point in a good fuel consumption range among drive points on an optimum fuel consumption operation curve to ensure output of the required torque for the constant speed drive. Such control enhances the fuel efficiency for the constant speed drive.

  • Publication number: 20090062063
Abstract: At the time of a Hi-to-Lo speed change of a transmission, which is configured to transmit an output torque of a motor to a driveshaft, in an accelerator off state or in a low acceleration state with the driver's slight depression of an accelerator pedal, an engine is controlled to be driven at a rotation speed of not lower than a speed change-time minimum rotation speed that is higher than an idling rotation speed. When the driver depresses the accelerator pedal to require a large torque demand, such drive control enables quick output of a large torque from the engine to a ring gear shaft as the driveshaft.
