  • Publication number: 20050017592
Abstract: An armature of a rotary electric machine includes a cylindrical armature core and an armature winding wound on the core. The armature winding is connected in a combination of a delta-winding and a star-winding, both composed of three phase windings. Each phase winding includes plural winding units, the connection of which is easily changeable to alter a ratio of the winding units forming the delta-winding and the star-winding. When a higher number of winding units form the star-connection, the armature is applicable to a higher voltage system. A pair of the delta-star windings may be wound in the same armature core and connected in parallel to each other to thereby increase a current capacity of the armature. Lead wires connecting ends of the respective phase windings are positioned within a semi-circular area at an axial end of the cylindrical armature core to shorten the length of the lead wires.

  • Publication number: 20040194285
Abstract: An electro-acoustic transducer has a layer of a heat-curing and UV-curing adhesive formed on a frame integrally molded at the bottom of a case. A magnet is placed on the frame via the adhesive. The case is irradiated with a UV light from above, at least before the adhesive is heat-cured, so that the adhesive is cured in the portion exposed to the UV light. This prevents the adhesive from evaporating, scattering and prevents the adhesive components depositing on a diaphragm, that could be caused by a later high temperature process for heat-curing the adhesive. Furthermore, time for the heat-curing can be made shorter by the high temperature curing. The shorter curing time improves productivity of the production, and allows the transducers to be manufactured on an automatic assembly line.

  • Publication number: 20040061400
Abstract: A sequentially joined segment armature coil is provided which may be employed in an ac machine such as an ac motor or motor generator. The armature coil is equipped with three phase coils each of which is made up of a first and a second phase windings identical in number of turns. This structure permits the number of turns of the armature coil to be changed easily by changing a connection of the first and second phase winding between a series connection and a parallel connection or changing a connection of the phase coils between a star connection and a delta connection. The structure also enables terminal leads of the first and second phase windings of each of the phase coils to be collected and withdrawn outside the ac machine, thus facilitating ease of arrangement of the terminal leads.

  • Publication number: 20030230949
Abstract: A polyphase sequentially joined-segment coil of a rotary electric machine and a production method thereof are provided. The coil is made up of a plurality of conductor segments joined in series. Each of the conductor segments a head projecting from a stator core, a pair of legs, and a pair of ends projecting from the stator core. The heads are of two types: a large-sized head and a small-sized head extending inside the large-sized head. This structure permits the length of the conductor segments in an axial direction of the core to be decreased and improves cooling capability of the machine and coil losses.
