  • Publication number: 20210149961
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for determining a user-preferred attribute type. An embodiment operates by maintaining user-presented attributes associated with user-presented records, wherein the user-presented attributes comprise one or more user-presented attribute types. After receiving a user-desired attribute of the user-presented attributes, a user-preferred attribute type of the user-presented attribute types is determined based on the user-presented attributes and the user-desired attribute. Thereafter, a new record and associated attribute are to be presented with the new attribute being of the user-preferred type.

  • Publication number: 20200112591
Abstract: Technologies for providing policy-based secure containers for multiple enterprise applications include a client computing device and an enterprise policy server. The client computing device sends device attribute information and a request for access to an enterprise application to the enterprise policy server. The enterprise policy server determines a device trust level based on the device attribute information and a data sensitivity level based on the enterprise application, and sends a security policy to the client computing device based on the device trust level and the data sensitivity level. The client computing device references or creates a secure container for the security policy, adds the enterprise application to the secure container, and enforces the security policy while executing the enterprise application in the secure container. Multiple enterprise applications may be added to each secure container. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20200100518
Abstract: A composition having an oil-in-water dispersion with enhanced stability is provided. The oil-in-water dispersion has particles of a hydrophobic agent with an average particle size between about 100 to about 999 nm, where the distribution of particle sizes are a monodispersity about the average particle size, and the negative charge on the particles generates a force of repulsion that exceeds the force of coalescence among the particles of the hydrophobic agent in the oil-in-water dispersion. A method for applying the composition to a food and/or beverage is also provided. The submicron average particle size, dispersity, and force of repulsion of the particles in the dispersion increase the extent of penetration and accelerate diffusion of the particles of the hydrophobic agent throughout a water phase of a food or beverage, to enhance the physical, chemical, nutritional and/or sensory properties of the food or beverage, and to prevent freezer burn.

  • Patent number: 10502139
Abstract: A method of starting a gas turbine engine having a rotor comprising at least a shaft-mounted compressor and turbine, with a casing surrounding the rotor includes an acceleration phase, a bowed-rotor cooling phase, during the acceleration, and a combustion phase. The bowed-rotor cooling phase comprises a time where the rotational speed of the rotor is maintained below a bowed-rotor threshold speed until a non-bowed condition is satisfied, wherein the air forced through the gas turbine engine cools the rotor. The combustion phase occurs after the bowed-rotor cooling phase and upon reaching the combustion speed, wherein fuel is supplied to the gas turbine engine.

  • Patent number: 10291576
Abstract: Embodiments of techniques and systems for sharing user information between proximate devices are described. In embodiments, a first device may identify a physically-proximate device that may receive user information. Upon receiving an indication that a user of the first device may desire to share user information with a user of the second device, a determination may be made as to whether the two users have matching interests. In embodiments, the interest match determination may be made by a separate interest match evaluator. Upon determination of an interest match, the first device may then send a request to share user information to the second device. If a user of the second device approves the request, user information for the user of the first device may be shared with the user of the second device. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20190004817
Abstract: Preparing a plurality of computer nodes to boot in a multidimensional fabric network is provided. The method includes a fabric processor (FP) generating a plurality of DHCP discovery packets using a baseboard management controller (BMC) MAC address, and placing them into the multi-host switch. A dedicated connection directly connects the BMC and the FP. All ports of the multi-host switch broadcast DHCP discovery packets into the fabric network. The BMC, FP, and switch are all within the node. A designated exit node inside the fabric connects to a provisioning node not part of the fabric. The exit node relays DHCP traffic from the fabric. A location-based IP address uniquely identifies the nodes' physical location in the fabric. The IP address is calculated based on inventory records describing physical location information about the nodes. The FP calculates a host MAC address using its IP address and configures it onto the switch.
