  • Publication number: 20170353228
Abstract: An apparatus includes a storage device configured to store location information of multiple receivers and auxiliary data associated with a space vehicle. A motion compensation block configured to correct timing of a received signal by a receiver from a space-vehicle transmitter and to generate a motion-compensated signal having corrected timing for motions of the space-vehicle transmitter. The corrected timing is determined based on stored location information of the receiver and the auxiliary data. The frequency correction block is configured to correct a carrier frequency of the motion-compensated signal using information associated with a synch channel of the received signal and to generate a processed signal.

  • Publication number: 20170249780
Abstract: Areas of non-conformances in a manufactured object are electronically mapped within a coordinate system of the object. Boundary lines of the areas containing the non-conformances are displayed on a 3-D image of the product. Visualization of the boundary lines of areas containing multiple non-conformances allows tracking of non-conformances, identification of trends in non-conformances and correction of production processes in order to reduce non-conformances.

  • Publication number: 20170205413
Abstract: Methods of diagnosing or prognosing a disease or condition associated with increased or over expression of macrophage inhibitory cytokine-1 (MIC-1) are disclosed. The methods typically involve detecting a change in the amount of MIC-1 in a test body sample from a subject taken at two or more time points. The change in the amount of MIC-1 may be adjusted for the effect of at least the following factors as appropriate: the gender of the subject, the age of the subject, the body mass index (BMI) of the subject, the subject being a smoker, the subject being a user of NSAIDs, and the waist-to-hip ratio where the subject is female. The methods are particularly suitable for diagnosing or prognosing the presence of one or more colorectal polyp(s).

  • Publication number: 20170164597
Abstract: An improved termite monitoring and detection system which in the preferred form utilises a first bulk attractant and a second smaller portion of attractant, whereupon consumption of the smaller portion activates a short travel biased trigger mechanism to create a detection signal without disturbing the termites as they continue to consume the bulk attractant. A variety of electronic and electrical features are optionally included which facilitate remote monitoring, optional remote application of termiticide and multi-party interfacing. The system also enables third party bulk collection of termite activity data and provides a system which ensures compliance with agreed monitoring and treatment protocols.

  • Publication number: 20160335148
Abstract: A packet is identified at a port of a serial data link, and it is determined that the packet is associated with an error. Entry into an error recovery mode is initiated based on the determination that the packet is associated with the error. Entry into the error recovery mode can cause the serial data link to be forced down. In one aspect, forcing the data link down causes all subsequent inbound packets to be dropped and all pending outbound requests and completions to be aborted during the error recovery mode.

  • Patent number: 9377254
Abstract: A chill mold is used to cool molten material to form a casting. A support holds the chill mold so that a bottom of the chill mold is elevated. A baffle is arranged to divert a generally horizontal flow of cooling air upwardly to impinge the bottom of the chill mold. A plurality of chill molds may be aligned generally in a row, and at least one fan may be arranged at an end of the row to direct the flow of cooling air underneath the chill molds. The size and the vertical position of the baffles may be varied along the row, so as to generally equalize convective cooling rates among the chill molds in the row.
